We were very impressed with the Radisson Blu during our 2-night stay. The hotel is very well located at the base of the ski slopes, just a short walk to the chairlifts and mountain bike tracks. The hotel is a real hub of activity during the summer with bikes going every which way. There is a good biking shop on site where you can rent mountain bikes. All the reception staff were really helpful and friendly and we were even awarded an upgrade to a 1-bedroom apartment. Our room was amazing – spacious, bright, clean, and the afternoon sunlight streaming in. We even had a small balcony to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the mountain. The large sitting room was great, with a few chairs and couches in front of the TV and views out to the mountain. The bathroom was spacious and functional. We had a mini-fridge but it was quite feeble and could barely cool things down. The breakfast buffet was awesome with a huge variety of hot and cold dishes – one of the best we’ve had in Norway. We really enjoyed the evening taco buffet in the Chill & Bowl café downstairs. We liked it so much we ate there on both nights – very reasonably priced, too! We used the newly renovated gym facility and found it to be decent. It was a little on the small side, but there were a few good cardio machines and a few machine weights and free weights. Definitely enough for a good workout. Overall we had a great stay and would highly recommend it to all other travelers looking for an excellent base in Trysil.
