We were very impressed with the Radisson Blu during our 2-night stay. The hotel is very well located at the base of the ski slopes, just a short walk to the chairlifts and mountain bike tracks. The hotel is a real hub of activity during the summer with bikes going every which way. There is a good biking shop on site where you can rent mountain bikes. All the reception staff were really helpful and friendly and we were even awarded an upgrade to a 1-bedroom apartment. Our room was amazing – spacious, bright, clean, and the afternoon sunlight streaming in. We even had a small balcony to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the mountain. The large sitting room was great, with a few chairs and couches in front of the TV and views out to the mountain. The bathroom was spacious and functional. We had a mini-fridge but it was quite feeble and could barely cool things down. The breakfast buffet was awesome with a huge variety of hot and cold dishes – one of the best we’ve had in Norway. We really enjoyed the evening taco buffet in the Chill & Bowl café downstairs. We liked it so much we ate there on both nights – very reasonably priced, too! We used the newly renovated gym facility and found it to be decent. It was a little on the small side, but there were a few good cardio machines and a few machine weights and free weights. Definitely enough for a good workout. Overall we had a great stay and would highly recommend it to all other travelers looking for an excellent base in Trysil.

Beautiful clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff. We went half board and the breakfast was lovely with tons of choice. There are limited number of restaurant choices for evening (at the hotel and in Turisenter) so if the hotel is busy you need to book ahead. Having the spa and swimming pool was fantastic for after skiing or if you don't want to do too much skiing. Locker rooms are good size and lead right on to the green practice slopes/lifts. The hotel backdrop/scenery is spectacular so there are great surrounding views wherever you look. Very relaxing and very enjoyable stay.

Great hotel, something for everyone. Spacious clean room, best shower ever, comfy beds. Reception area with a bar has fantastic relaxed but busy vibe in the evening suitable for all. There’s a separate bar/lounge for quieter drink. Restaurants served excellent food. Pricey but it’s Norway! Breakfast has everything you could want. Gets busy but well organised. Ski room is spacious and heated. Access to the slopes from the ski room was tricky but we had very little snow.

Reservation of rooms was very technical. Difficult to obtain detailed information up front. After a long car ride I was presented with focus on ID despite prepaid rooms. Only one of the advertised restaurants was open. The rooms were excellent. So also breakfast. But there was a feeling of not being welcome.

This was our second year in a row staying at the Radisson Resort in Trysil for our annual family ski trip, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. We’re a family of four and stayed in a family room, which was perfect for our needs.||||The hotel’s facilities are a huge bonus. After a day on the slopes, our 10- and 5-year-olds loved unwinding in the pool every evening. The arcade and bowling alley were also big hits with the kids, offering plenty of entertainment off the slopes.||||Dining was also great—our kids really enjoyed the children’s menu at the main restaurant, and the occasional "all-you-can-eat burgers" night was a fun treat. We also appreciated the 10% discount on food and drinks for Radisson Rewards members.||||The ski-in/ski-out setup and complimentary ski lockers made things super convenient. Although there wasn’t much snow by the hotel this time (so we had to carry our skis about 20 meters to reach the slopes), it wasn’t a big deal and certainly not the hotel’s fault.||||The only downside was the parking—there were no discounts or concessions for hotel guests, and at around 95 NOK per day, the cost does add up over a week-long stay.||||All in all, a great experience once again, and we’ve already booked for next year!

We stayed on the end of season half board deal which, as they'd closed two of the three restaurants ended up being excellent value for us due to the level of service we received from Sylvia who went out of her way to make sure we had a good variety of dining options. ||||Our room was in need to some TLC but it was clean and the bathroom was more than adequate although the hairdryer is in need of updating. The pillows are the classic European type offering little support but that is a minor niggle. ||||The pool, as others have said, is just a couple of degrees too cold but otherwise excellent for a hotel pool. The jacuzzi could have done with draining and cleaning. ||||The ski lockers are very good and there looks to be an option to dry/warm things in the wardrobe in the room. ||||The hotel was due to close for the winter season two days after we left and it did kind of have that end of term feel about things but we had a good time so no complaints. Had I paid more then I might have a slightly different take on my experience.

It’s the staff that makes this place the best! The room is okay for what we paid and the location. Everyone we came in contact with was so nice and made our stay perfect. Roland at the front desk had endless patience with us and was so helpful. The restaurant and spa employees were also wonderful. We got really lucky and saw the aurora from our balcony as a bonus.

This was the forth time starting in Trysil at the Radisson Blu we booked a family room for 4 but it was only made up for 3 we had to ask for additional bedding and towels and when replacement towels given mid week only enough for 3 guests were provided. By far the smallest room we have been given despite being radisson rewards member no upgrade was offered despite the publicity of the programme throughout the hotel. Breakfast was great as ever as was the service, also service was good in the Italian but not so good in T Brasserie especially given the cost of the meals.

Yelp
The hotel is good and clean, the breakfast buffet is great with good selection of tasty food (worth every penny)) Free access to pools, sauna and ski room. Lobby bar is cozy. 4 stars only because of check in- you need to wait until 16pm to get in your room and the line are huge.
