Radisson Blu Royal Garden Hotel, Trondheim

We had another wonderful stay at Radisson Blu Royal Garden Hotel in Trondheim. We have stayed here every year for the Christmas market for the past five years, and it has become a cherished holiday tradition for our family. |The location is perfect right by the river and within easy walking distance to the Trondheim Christmas market and city center, making it easy to soak up the festive atmosphere without any stress.|The hotel is very accommodating for larger families, with spacious rooms and a welcoming, cozy feel that’s especially lovely during the Christmas season. Having on-site parking is a big plus and makes winter travel much easier.|The breakfast is fantastic and feels like the perfect start to a winter day. They have a generous selection of fresh, high-quality options that suit both adults and children. Overall, a truly festive, comfortable hotel in an ideal location. We always look forward to returning during the holidays.

This is a great hotel. Very modern and clean in a good location. The breakfast is the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. The staff are friendly and there is a very nice bar and restaurant on site. My room was lovely but unfortunately I didn't sleep well due to the very soft mattress. I did mention it at reception but all the rooms have the same mattress. When you sit on the bed, it feels like you sink very deeply into the bed. I am not sure why they don't provide firmer mattresses.

The hotell entrance was unmaintaned and very slippery were we fell the moment we entered. Apparently some of the snow from the process of cleaning the parking lot had ended up there and no one had cared enough to make it safe afterwards. The receptionist (some woman in her 30s) did not really care and was listening to something whilst talking to us, one earbud in her ear. Besides these things it was a Radisson Blu like any other.

Very nice hotel. |I travel in business and usually use one of the cheaper hotel chains. Radisson is usually a more expensive chain than i`m used to, but there is a difference. I will say a standard room here is like a business room in cheaper hotel brands. Everything from soaps, tv standard, coffee in room, 4 pillows in different size and so on. Felt more luxary, which I liked a lot. The small things, very important for a frequent traveller.||Nice staff, nice breakfast and very nice location. |Fast check in and fast checkout. Very attentive people working here. |Cozy bar and nice food. ||Easy first choice in Trondheim in the future.

Nice location, very tasty breakfast, clean rooms. A big minus is the parking lot. Understandable somehow for Trondheim , but for hotel guests price for the public parking in front of the hotel could be smaller.

This is a wonderful hotel in the heart of Trondheim, it is a 5 minute walk from the rail station, shopping, the Nidaros Cathedral (construction started in 1070 AD). You could not ask for a better location. While staying at this hotel, do yourself a very big favor and take a 7 minute walk to a beautiful restaurant called, Kalas og Canasta. Their address in Nedre Bakkelander 5. I highly suggest a reservation, you will thank me after your delicious meal...

Great Central Hotel, Very Comfortable ​Pros: This is a very comfortable hotel. The location is perfect—right in the center, making it easy to walk everywhere. I also want to extend a big 'thank you' to the staff for allowing an early check-in due to my membership. ​Cons: The breakfast layout was the only minor issue. It was not straightforward to find the warm food, and I only found it on the other side of the room after I had already gotten other items. ​"A lovely stay, and I would happily return."

Very good hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. Beautiful indoor areas to relax and the breakfast was also good. The checkout was a bit slow with a line forming, but this is likely not due to the staff. Breakfast was good and in a beautiful room with a view.

Very nice interior. Clean and well kept. The parking is very tight. And expensive, 400 kroner 40$ us. Also the rooms were warm, too warm. And you could not adjust the temperature. When the fan was put on full it still felt like no air was moving in the room. The bed was comfortable but also too warm with no sheet. I ended up throwing the quilt on the floor and sleeping with the mattress cover as a sheet. The location is nice for walking around town though. And the extra cost of the room will hopefully save you money in taxis if that's your thing.

This place looks like it was nice about 10 years ago....but it's run down and shoddy now. Wallpaper peeling, paint chipping, furniture dingy...but worse is that the internet kicks you off about 30 times a day and you have to get your room key reprogrammed after each time you use it. I'm giving it 3 stars, though, because the staff is so incredibly nice and helpful and the location is excellent. Apparently they are undergoing renovations - but they should think about closing it while they do it - as it's super loud during the day.

Light filled clean and modern hotel in the heart of Trondheim. The whole place is made of glass so there are great views of Nidelva and the historic wharf buildings. Of course, during the bright summer nights the blackout drapes were very handy to block that view! There is a delightful buffet breakfast included which extends over several rooms with breads, pastries, eggs, sausages, fruit, yogurt, meats and cheeses. Too many things to try!! Desk staff speak perfect English and thy were very helpful with all kinds of tourist assistance. Great hotel!!

I'm kind of puzzled why nobody has written a report on this establishment but all right, this is gonna change now. The Radisson is a pretty nice hotel near the water. We got a room for three which made the whole thing affordable. In the hotel, there are a couple of goodies you would want to have: Free WLAN, free coffee and a nice TV, for those, who need that. Breakfast is included, and it is pretty descent. There is even fresh orange juice on the rocks included. :-) The building looks lovely so I would always come back here. Oh, there is even a little gym and a sauna. The pool was under construction when we arrived. So, give it a try, I'd say: 4.2
