Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Dublin

Stepping into the Radisson Blu Royal means arriving in one of Dublin’s most strategic areas, positioned between St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Dublin Castle. At check-in we were welcomed with refreshing drinks in the lobby, a thoughtful and genuinely pleasant gesture after travelling and walking through the busy centre. We stayed in November 2024 and had booked the property through Agoda. On arrival, a couple of hours before the official check-in time, the room was not yet ready. Once the actual check-in window opened, the process moved smoothly and was handled with professionalism, reflecting the efficient approach of the front-desk team. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed, offering practical amenities, good bedding and attentive housekeeping. Breakfast was a real highlight: excellent juices, a generous and varied selection, and a chef who prepared a personalised gourmet egg dish on request, adding a refined and memorable touch to the morning. The overall atmosphere felt versatile and well balanced; we noticed several business travellers at breakfast, yet the setting remained relaxed, quiet and perfectly suitable for families too. With the Cathedral, the Castle and Temple Bar all within a few minutes’ walk, the hotel works extremely well as a central base for exploring Dublin on foot. A reliable and well-run property in the heart of the city.

I have to say I have been staying at this hotel on a regular basis for work for over 3 years. On arriving the reception staff are so helpful and always have a great welcome for me. (Dorian, Evan and the rest of the gang)|The staff are so friendly and obliging. Pratima,Christine and all the wonderful staff in the restaurant always make sure that everyone is looked after. The restaurant and bar staff(Sanito and Christ can’t remember other names ) go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and you feel at home.|My delight the other day was to see the new bar menu and it is fabulous. Something for everyone on it.|The rooms are really comfortable and clean.|It’s very convenient to Grafton Street, a lot of things within walking distance.|I would highly recommend this hotel for either business or pleasure.

I visited the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel Dublin while attending a conference in November. The service is great and room is comfy and cozy. A huge thank you to the staff, Kristina in the restaurant who went out of her way to help us find a misplaced tumbler during a very busy lunch service. She was patient, kind, and genuinely determined to help. Her professionalism really stood out.

Loved our stay because the rooms were nice, clean, spacious. Bathroom also large and spacious, good water pressure. Bed was comfortable. Good location a short walk to amenities. Grocery/convenience store across the street, bakery/café half a block away, and many restaurants and shops within 15min walk. No need for a car. Friendly staff. Would happily stay here again.

The location was great, what we needed as our flights were cancelled. Service was so good, we had the breakfast in the morning I would recommend. I would think for the cost though that chipping on the roof of the rooms would be painted and scuffs on the walls would he cleaned. The rooms were quiet which was nice for a good sleep after being up so long.

Good things: bed (huge); breakfast (extensive); communications; connectivity (lots of sockets etc); desk (big); heating; location; mattress (excellent); quiet (very); room safe (easy to operate); spaciousness; WiFi (effective). ||Not so good things: storage (only one drawer - not enough for two people); bathroom sink (didn’t drain well); bathroom tap (so forceful it sprayed everything); dressing gowns (only suitable for super thin people); pillows (no support - even with two); price (two nights for £650 was a bit steep in view of the experience); seating (more business than leisure); shower (water spread beyond its base so needed a towel to mop up); shower gel etc (in bottles of such resilience that brute force was required to extract product); staff (efficient, but indifferent and robotic). ||Would I go back? For business - maybe. For pleasure - no.

Walking from the train, we happened upon the Radisson Blu. We ate lunch and asked about luggage storage so we could tour Book of Kells at Trinity and St. Patrick's cathedral. Pratima at the front desk was so friendly and professional. She made us feel special with her laser focus on customer service. David happily checked our bags and shared info on Book of Kells. We felt like V.I.P.s. When we came back for dinner, it was dark so he quickly flagged us a taxi and helped us at the curb. We felt pampered by Raphael and Bantita who anticipated our needs and served scrumptious soup and fish.

It's perfectly situated for sightseeing. 💚 Dining & Bars: The hotel boasts some excellent options, including the Chancery Grill for a proper meal and a stylish bar area that’s perfect for a relaxing nightcap. 🥂 Service & Feel: The staff are consistently noted for being professional, attentive, and helpful, ensuring your stay feels seamless and welcoming. The entire property feels well-maintained and polished. 🫂 A special shout-out to Kevish and Dorian! Your attention to detail is so sharp, you could probably fold a fitted sheet perfectly just by looking at it. Thanks for keeping the 'Royal' in the Radisson Blu Royal! 👑 While it might lack the 'olde worlde' pub charm of some smaller Dublin hotels, it more than makes up for it with its reliable quality and prime positioning.
