Where to Stay in Dublin When You Visit in 2025

"Located just east of the Liberties in a modern building, this comfortable four-star has a large gym and an in-house restaurant serving modern Irish cuisine; while the decor can feel a bit dated, the rooms are a good size with large rain showers and the expected amenities like free Wi‑Fi, flatscreen TVs, desks, and coffee/tea makers." - Matthew Kepnes

The location was great, what we needed as our flights were cancelled. Service was so good, we had the breakfast in the morning I would recommend. I would think for the cost though that chipping on the roof of the rooms would be painted and scuffs on the walls would he cleaned. The rooms were quiet which was nice for a good sleep after being up so long.

I came here for a day of rest and recuperation before starting my week in Ireland. To my surprise, all aspects of my stay here were exceptional. Why? Because all of the staff is trying hard and succeeding at it. This is an older hotel that is immaculately maintained. Both the informal and the formal restaurants of the hotel offer really good meals. I ate lunch at the former and dinner at the latter. After dinner I shook the chef’s hand and congratulated him. The breakfast buffet blew me away. It was spectacular and sumptuous in its diversity and execution. This hotel was my first experience and impression of Ireland. I was told while planning my trip that this is the friendliest nation on Earth. I don’t know about that yet. But if this airport, gateway hotel is any indication, that description of Ireland is likely true.

Just had a two nights stay here.||We had a standard room, but the room, bed and bathroom were all huge. Room was very clean and comfortable.||The location is great. Ten minutes walk to temple bar area. We had room service for breakfast in the room and it was delicious. ||Would absolutely stay here again.||But there are a couple things that could be improved on. The room (room 312) was quite warm. I dont know if there was an issue with the air con. We had it set to 15 the whole time and it still wasn't cool. The room is quite dark. There is only one spotlight to cover the whole room. This could do with improving. The shower in our room was great but the button to switch between rainfall shower and handheld shower wasn't working very well, it made it tricky to switch. And lastly on the Friday morning there seemed to be building works going on within the hotel which was pretty noisy, would have been nice to have been given a heads up about this. ||But overall it was a great stay and pretty comfortable.

I often stay at Radisson hotels. I liked everything about them. The location is close to the center — you can even get there on foot. The area is quiet, and no noise was heard from the street. I slept really well. The mattress is very soft, and the bed is spotlessly clean.||The shower fittings are of good quality. So I recommend Radisson Hotels.

I feel sad having to write this review having previously enjoyed our stay here many times over the years but it really feels like standards have slipped. My wife and I stayed here for a single night for our anniversary. We were a bit shocked and upset to find a large 12' X 12' stain on the carpet by the side of the bed and that our overhead shower did not work! The man on reception seemed mildly interested but did not offer any concession etc. Hard to recommend in 2025 sadly.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL FROM HELL! I don't even know where to start about this horrible scam of a hotel. So for our last 2 nights in beautiful Ireland we decided to rent the Suite with a balcony, one of the most expensive besides the Presidential suite. I definitely didn't mind shelling out over $400 per night plus parking, but this was a big failure on my part and should have spent a little more and chosen the Shelbourne or intercontinental. We wanted to have something a bit nice on the last 2 days, boy was I wrong! The mental, and physical tolls this place took is still with me especially the physical. After a 4.5 journey we were excited to get to our hotel, relax, have a spa, and nice dinner. I had called the hotel before booking to make sure they had on-site parking. Upon arrival the lot said full, so I go inside and spoke with Amar(I believe that's her name) I quickly asked about the parking and was told we would have to park out front for $4/ hour or drive 5 minutes away, again I called to make sure because I have medical issues. She was very callus, and noticed I was having extreme distress, so I asked to cancel and was told NO! I go out to speak with my husband and he comes in with me. I asked to speak with the manager and he popped out to the garage and said its not full. Amar was standing right beside the manager and had no interest in even asking him or checking herself! That problem was solved. Then on up to the room, when I opened the doors 4 of the, I was shocked because motel 6 was nicer than this awful place. This was NOT what I booked according to the pictures on the website, not even close! Dirty, dingy, floors were awful, toilets didn't flush, both toilet seats were loose. I promptly went down to talk to the manager and he said he would do something and did not! He said it was a new renovation 🤢 Lies! The room we booked had a comfy vibe with a sectional and we got concrete furniture (we bounced when you sat on it) awful just awful! I was assured Maintenance would be there to service the 2 toilets with the seats coming off and the flushing problem! This never happened. We lost about 5 hours of our day dealing with this horrible staff! Time is money and wasted vacation time. The next day the suite still had not been addressed! That evening the toilet seat came off while using it and I hurt my back badly and my ribs! We shall address this later. Amanda, did come to the room after I called and gave them the what for! She was kind and apologizing, but that doesn't get my body, my time and money back! The worst experience in Dublin ever. Thanks Raddison Royal Blu (nothing Royal here) for ruining our last 2 days on vacation and a very painful trip back home. I'll be sending you my medical bills😉 Whatever you do don't stay here! I hate to make reviews like this, but don't be a dummy like me. Pictures are not what it looks like!

Great location. Lots of stores and restaurants in walking distance. Room was okay - wallpaper was coming off, our bathroom sink drain did not work, stained carpet. Breakfast was the best part though- lots of selections and quality.

Great location, king bed, great shower pressure but they gave us a terrible room! We requested a quiet room but they gave us the worst room near the door next to the elevator. Every day, all day there were people were the slamming door to get to their room or the gym/spa.
