"Located in the heart of Oslo , the Radisson Blu Scandinavia is within walking distance of most major attractions, including the Royal Palace, the National Theater, and the National Gallery, as well as smaller points of interest like the Ibsen museum. But guests who stay at this sleek glass tower may find it difficult to leave thanks to the hotel’s large swimming pool and sauna and two restaurants, as well as the shopping arcade that sits beneath the property. The 499 rooms are warmly decorated with patterned carpets, colorful artwork, and Scandi-mod furnishings, plus free high-speed Internet and LCD TVs, and public areas have an open, airy feel. After a day spent seeing the sights, head back to the hotel for akevitt -infused cocktails at the 21st-floor Summit bar, overlooking the city’s rooftops and fjords."

We stayed at this hotel for a few days in December 2024, including over Christmas, and had a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent – right next to the Royal Palace, within walking distance of the Christmas market, and about 15–20 minutes on foot to the Opera House and waterfront. There’s even a 7-Eleven supermarket conveniently located right under the hotel. The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfasts were tasty, with a good variety to choose from. On Christmas Eve, the hotel offered a festive dinner at the ground-floor restaurant, which was a lovely touch. You pay once and enjoy a buffet-style meal – very convenient and enjoyable. The only minor downside was that the room felt a bit worn and dated – it’s clear the renovation wasn’t recent. Still, this didn’t impact our overall comfort. All in all, we were happy with our stay and would consider coming back!

We were staying here on our vacation trip to Oslo. the Hotel is centrally located and in walking distance from the station and major attractions. The breakfast spread is good even for vegetarian people like us. The rooms are spacious and clean. But the Bed quality is not that good. They should see if the beds could be made better. Overall enjoyed the stay.

Too many emails between booking and arriving. Then when I finally arrived I was threatened by the front desk that I could not get to my room without signing up for their loyalty club. So I agreed and they sent me emails in a language that I don’t speak. The room itself is dusty, some surfaces have not been cleaned in weeks or months. They knew I was staying for four nights but only provided two coffees in the room. The moment I arrived in my room I was met with the loud noise of construction and drilling for next few hours - to the point where I could not hear others on business calls, I could not conduct business in the room. The wifi has been shotty, cutting out while I am on zoom calls. Not reliable for a modern business experience. The breakfast was good but the host was a bit weird and intense. No staff member has spoken to me through any communication channel since I checked in. The sauna was nice. This hotel is not up to basic business standards. I would not recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for 5 nights. Two before a group tour started for the last three. Was very pleased. Paid extra for a high floor with a fjord view and was very happy to look out the window every morning and evening and get a great view of Oslo. The room was very quiet despite being right underneath the rooftop bar. The only noise I heard was chairs scraping in the morning while being moved for cleaning. Staff was nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet had was clean and had plenty of choices to pick from. Compared to a lot of European hotel rooms, this one was a nice size. Would definitely consider staying here again if I come back to Oslo. Another bonus was it is a quick and convenient walk from a near by train station.

Excellent location. Next to palace, walking distance to many restaurants and shopping locations. Clean rooms. Bathrooms are a bit smaller than I am accustomed to but not unbearable. Breakfast buffet is very nice. Staff are highly helpful. Lobby bar is also a great place to grab a beer and the lounge on the top floor provides nice views of the city. Highly recommend and plan to visit again on my next trip to Oslo.

I would call this a more business kind of hotel with standard rooms. Good location close to the castle and a short walk to the city center. If you are lucky, like I was, you can get a high floor room with a view towards the city and harbour. |Room are standard and mine was a bit bigger, but we paid a huge amount for this room via our business travel partner, due to a Maritime event in the city. |Very small bathroom. Bed was good and a large screen TV (not that many international channels). |Breakfast was good. No possibility for a la carte. |Gym is good sized with ok equipment. Did not try the pool and relax, but ok size pool to just relax in.||Would never pay what we did for this hotel, but this is Oslo at the wrong time. Google for events in Oslo if you are planning a leisure trip.

We stayed at the Radisson Blu in Oslo as part of a city break cruise package, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hotel is modern, clean, and very well located – perfect for exploring the city either on foot or by public transport. One of the best tips we can share is to sign up for the Radisson Rewards program (free to join) ahead of your stay. The cruise ship arrives in Oslo around 10 am, but regular check-in at the hotel isn’t until 3 pm. Thanks to the rewards membership, we were able to check in early and go straight to our room with no extra charge – such a welcome convenience after a night on the ferry! Our room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet, with everything we needed for a restful stay. Staff at the front desk were professional, friendly, and helpful throughout. Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend it, especially if you’re arriving by cruise or looking for a smooth and stress-free city stopover.

We upgraded to a Superior room with a terrace and king bed. What we got was not what we expected. The terrace rooms are on the third floor. The view from our terrace was lack luster to say the least. I even advised them that I was bringing my wife to Norway for the first time ahead of time. See pictures of our terrace. Not worth the upgrade.

Yelp
Hot rooms. Bad air. Claustrophobic space in room. Awesome breakfast buffet!!!!! If you like to hole up like a dog in a hot cave then emerge to a feast, this is your hotel! Ok location for centrality and public transportation. In no way a "treat" except for the breakfast.

Yelp
This was supposed to be a stop over for the night - before we headed back out of Norway. Our trip had some hiccups and it looked like we wouldn't be able to make it to the hotel on the day of, so we tried calling them and Expedia to cancel it. I am disappointed to say that they did not relent. We ended up having to rearrange for things to make it to Oslo - at 10pm at night. Which meant 8 hrs at the hotel which isn't cheap. Anyway, we made it, check-in was okay - front desk people could have been friendlier. You have to pay for parking - ~$45-50 per night. Also parking is around the whole block - so could ne slight challenge in finding it. Room was standard - like any other hotel. Carpet had stains. Ample towels and amenities were provided. Breakfast was additional ~$20USD. I feel like breakfast should have been included given the price of the hotel - the breakfast was good, plenty of selection for everyone from fresh vegetables, breads, plant based items, eggs, fresh smoothies, juices. This was my favorite part of this hotel. I do wish the hotel could have been more accommodating to our travel emergency.

Yelp
Stayed in this hotel twice over a period of two weeks during our visit to Norway. Good cookie. Enjoyed the Norwegian. Sauna experience with a very nice pool. Also a very good breakfast. Do not mess. Location near the palace. Central enough location for me. Second stay we were on the 26th floor and it was an absolutely spectacular view. Friendly staff. Places to store your luggage. I would recommend.

Yelp
Stayed at this hotel over Christmas vacation. Such a beautiful hotel and at a very reasonable price. Lobby is beautiful and they always have water, cookies, fruit and snacks out for guests. Customer service is great and very helpful. Oh and the breakfast is delicious with so many vegetarian options. The rooms are spacious, have a huge tv with capabilities to cast Netflix from your phone onto the tv. The shower is also huge! Love this hotel! However, the restaurant was good but way overpriced, but since we stayed over Christmas, nothing else was open close by. Even though, we had a great experience at this hotel!

Yelp
We stayed here for 3 nights, while visiting Oslo, Norway. This hotel is centrally located with easy access to Central Area of Oslo- 1 block to the Historical Museum and Royal Palace. Check in with 'Lea' was mediocre - she wasn't welcoming with flat affect. Breakfast is very good- large amount of food items to choose from. Employees working in the dining area weren't very personable, other than 'Nelly' the hostess. She was very friendly each morning. The hotel has a restaurant on site, which has good food, but is expensive. The Sky Bar in top floor has amazing views of Oslo and is worth a visit. Employees there were very friendly. Rooms feel outdated (see photos), but bed was extremely comfortable. There was a refrigerator and safe. There was a grassy area outside of our room with a balcony where we saw people smoking (hotel is smoke free, but all of the tables on balcony have ashtrays). One VERY COOL Feature- they allow you to stream Netflix, etc. From your phone to the TV. This was awesome because there was only one channel in English Overall, very good stay! A final note: Henrietta checked us out and was extremely cordial

Yelp
Worst hotel experience. Do not book here. While I was having a conversation beside my chair in the hotel lobby, after 2 minutes, my bag was stolen. Security told me that the camera is broken. The hotel workers did not care about my stolen bag at all, where the staff treated me unkindly, and the staff just told me to report it to the police and he cannot do anything about it, while being mad at me for making " a bag deal out if it". My passport, wallet, and all IDs were stolen, where I was subsequently stranded in Oslo for 3 days. After my incident was reported, no one asked whether I was okay or what happened afterwards, complete lack of regard. The staff was actually annoyed by my situation, ANNOYED! More about the quality of the hotel: The witless wifi did not work, it was slow and laggy, worse wifi I've ever experienced. The hotel is not properly cleaned, the rooms are dirty. I stayed for 4 nights, and 2/4 days were cleaned. And lastly, the staff, horrible, absolutely horrible. Gives no respect to the customers, unhelpful, and entitled!

Yelp
No hot water in the shower and they were not able to fix it quick, so i was not able to take a shower before my 9am meeting!

Yelp
I can only rate the conference rooms and the bar at 21th floor. I really like both. They had headsets for better sound and it was translated live to Norwegian or English. It was a nice big room and you didn't feel like you were sitting on each other; ) At lunch when someone took the last sandwich on a tray it was immediately replaced by a new one. The bar had a really great view and great wine. It was just not easy to be 30 people without splitting up, but all in all a good place to hold a conference.

Yelp
The hotel really surprised me in a very positive way. Staff, rooms, location and prices are very good. Breakfast and Spa/Sports are nice, but the Sauna has been seperated for women and men. All in all I would recommend it and overlook my broken bathtub and the other damages in my bathroom (905).

Yelp
Service is great, breakfast selection is very expansive. Good location within walking distance to the metro and sites. Decor is very outdated. Appears as if bathrooms have been updated but glass shower door would not close all the way. Minor problem. Sleeping area decor needs to be refreshed.

Yelp
It was bad, then it became better! The room they had for me was straight out of the 1970s, but a very, very bad version of the 1970s! Ok, where to begin: the only thing room 2204 has going for it is the view, but since you can't open the large bay-type window and the heating and cooling system doesn't work, you could be taking your last breaths here in this room. The room decor had not been redone since the 1970s and the bathroom was not good:small and the toilet seat was attached by one screw!! Mini-bar fridge was hot and disgusting. So, a quick call to the front desk for a room change and walla! Down to room 304 for a modern room with a very nice balcony!! Oh, and since i was now in a VIP room, there was free coffee and tea. So the question is, why didn't the staff just out me in 304 in the first place? Breakfast was included and it was nice. The 21st floor bar has great views if Oslo, so do go up for a pint. So, 3 stars due to the original room and its myriad issues, but staff made it right. Thing is, I will be back in November so i hope i can avoid any issues.

Yelp
I had quite an enjoyable time at this hotel. Very friendly staff. The best part: the breakfast. Wow. Norwegian caramel cheese, liver pate, sausages, salmon paste in tubes, in addition to everything you would normally expect from a breakfast. Booyah.

Yelp
WARNING , there is major construction all day long, jack hammers rattle your room. Until this is done I would stay away unless the room rate is lowered. One star for location, very central location. One star for breakfast buffet, fresh fruit and good selection. Minus for room size, we had a "family room" and it barely fit the 4 of us. One star for lovely outdoor deck on 3rd floor rooms.

Yelp
I found the staff working at this hotel to be very friendly and informative. The bar on the 21st floor offers an amazing view of the city that should not be missed. That said, this hotel is more Best Western than Westin. The drain in the shower was clogged when I took my first shower there. I guess Drain O max was too expensive. It took me going down to the front desk to ask before they gave me a wash cloth. The wifi connection was super slow. Like other reviewers have said, the lobby area is great but the rooms are meh. I really was expecting something better for the price but it was a very average hotel.

Yelp
The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to our needs. Room was clean and decent size however I found the restroom quite interesting since the shower and the toilet had no separation; reminded me of Vietnam. The breakfast was quite fantastic and the view is pretty spectacular. Overall a nice hotel serving it's purpose. Lovely added touch is the complimentary fruit choices in the lobby.

Yelp
The rooms are definitely on the small side and modestly adorned, but with an amazing view of the city. Though less convenient, it is quite nice to be away from the mire of tourists at Sentralstasjon. The wifi was fast and reliable and breakfast is definitely better when attended early, as it becomes a bit of a zoo once all of the other Radisson patrons wake up.

Tatianna V.

Yelp
Cleanliness of room/hotel: The maid would not always replace the empty toiletry products, but the room and common areas were kept clean, bathroom smelled a bit Quality of service: allowed us to store our bags when we arrived early and left late, which was really nice. They also looked up tourist information for us. Recommended a sight an hour away that had been closed for 9 years, not so nice. They did tell us about their penthouse bar and basement pool, but forgot to mention their free sauna. Hotel amenities: amazing breakfast totally worth it took 3 days to try it all, wifi, sauna, pool, bar, luggage storage, Narvesen store in hotel, basic room amenities like shampoo, soap, body wash, lotion, shower cap, big screen tv, desk, chairs, big comfy beds, in room and behind the desk safes, non smoking rooms, A/C, elevator, windows that open, umbrellas for borrowing Hotel location: 7 minutes from a central train, tram, and bus station, 5 minutes from the royal palace at the top of the pedestrian shopping street running through town, next to a tram station and next to the airport shuttle bus Overall: undergoing renovations, so it's going to be much nicer, I would stay there again, although it was expensive

Yelp
i've stayed at many radisson blu hotels throughout europe and in my experience they are all outdated and dingy. this Oslo Raddison blu is no exception to that rule. the lobby area is decent, but the rooms are equivalent to a motel 6. the bath tubs have cigarette burns in the ceramic. the bright spot of this hotel is the convenience store located inside of the lobby. and there is a nice view from the 21st floor bar. that's it. not impressed with this chain at all. they really need to take more pride in their brand.

Yelp
The best I can say about this hotel is that there were so many problems that as new ones arose it got to be funny. If you find these adventures amusing you may wish to consider a visit. You will not be disappointed. Here is an excerpt from the letter that I sent to them which they didn't even acknowledge. In it I did not mention the rude manner of our receptionist, the leaking shower stalls, single bathrobe they offered for our three rooms, the endlessly failing wifi connections, the missing coffee pot in one room and missing coffee in another, and the large and but sub-par breakfast buffet. To the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel: I am very unhappy about the service I received during my stay at your Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel, Oslo on June 24 an 25. I booked three rooms for six people through Authentic Scandinavia, one with a double bed and the others with twin beds. We arrived late morning, June 24, and went to one of the three manned reception desks. The receptionist initially demanded that those requesting different rooms each go to a different receptionist even though I had made and prepaid all of the reservations. She also refused to accept the prepayment voucher from Authentic Scandinavia. She finally agreed to handle our group after demanding that all six of us present her with our passports. Because she continued to deny the validity of the voucher, I gave her my credit card and asked her to check and confirm with me that my payment had been received. She never did so despite several requests during our stay. Happily we were not charged again. This was only the beginning of our problems. Two of the rooms were very hot without air conditioning. The other had air conditioning and was comfortable. I asked a different receptionist if she could correct the problem. She kindly offered us cooler rooms but we discovered that both had double beds. After another complaint we changed rooms again, this time with a satisfactory result although one of the rooms had a telephone that did not work and the other had a safe with a non-working battery. We were unable to get either repaired. The next day things got worse. My daughter's sink overflow delivered water onto the floor, not into the drain. Since her phone didn't work she visited my other daughter's room to report the problem. She returned to her room in her bathrobe only to find that the hotel had cancelled access to all of our rooms and she was stranded in the hall. I explained the problem to a receptionist who promptly gave me new key cards for the three rooms. He never asked for identification and I had to correct him after he programmed one of the cards for another guest's room. He corrected the problem but I was appalled at his disregard for proper security. Other guests told me that they also had been locked out of their rooms although not in such an embarrassing manner. Caveat emptor!
