Like many others have noted, the hotel has much to live up to. The location was convenient since I was attending a conference at the university nearby, but I had many issues with the maintenance of the hotel.
Unfortunately like many other hotels I’ve visited in tropical/humid/hot areas, there is a mold/mildew problem, which the hotel isn’t sufficiently addressing. Nearly everyday I saw someone painting over the ceiling on my floor and constantly kept on my mask to prevent inhaling fumes and mold. Near the last day it became nearly impossible to set the temperature for my room and it reached 26° C so I was only able to open the balcony door for relief.
The hotel is generally beautiful and well landscaped, but there must be more investment in a proper HVAC system to improve the air quality and humidity.
