I have stayed many times for work, and there have been problems every time. The rooms have no sound isolation, and they start hammering to work on other rooms very early. You don't decide when you wake up, the hotel does.
The doors do not lock properly. Although there is a lock, it has no effect as it is bypassed by the key card or the door handle. There is often breach of privacy as the cleaning staff enters the room early in the morning. Sometimes even other guests can enter, because the hotel has no system of which room is occupied. Expect unwelcome encounters at strange times.
Some of the bathrooms have bathtubs, but not all bathtubs have a seal to be able to fill it up. Some bathroom sinks have permanent seals and can not be emptied. Some toilets don't flush properly.
Sometimes there is a carton of drinking water, but not always. Just hope to be lucky. The tap water is not to drink.
Often the small lamps don't work, or there is no lightbulb in them.
There are almost no savory breakfast items, except for some small bits of sausage, maybe some potatoes if you are lucky, and some weird "scrambled eggs", although it tastes artificial, probably some water and powder mixed. And it is usually burned. The rest of the breakfast is only cakes and pastries.
Overall, there is no privacy (strangers coming in), loud neighbours, little consistency in the quality of the rooms, and underwhelming breakfast.
There are positives though:
- Most of the staff are really friendly
- The rooms are usually clean
