Rafalias Mansion

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying in Rafalias Mansion - if you’re thinking about going.. GO! It’s a beautiful location.. and the biggest, most beautiful garden on the island! Our room was great - room cleaned everyday - excellent service from the team and of course Andreas for his wonderful hospitality and stories. We were welcomed by Andreas in his beautiful home, he also gave us so much information about the island, history and things to enjoy and places to eat. The location is superb - very central near to the harbour, everything is on your doorstep. The small touches; bath robes, breakfast for us in our room, washing machine free of charge, Korres toiletries.. it made the stay so enjoyable. Thank you for your hospitality and the warmest welcome! We hope to come back some day.

This is by far the best place to stay in Hydra! Our room was absolutely stunning — beautifully decorated, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. Every day, we were pleasantly surprised with a tray of delicious treats, which made us feel truly cared for. The owner is simply wonderful — warm, attentive, and always ready to help. He even made us fresh juice one morning, which was such a thoughtful gesture. This stay was one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

This was our second time staying at Rafalias and can easily say it’s our favorite place to visit. Everything about this place is perfect, especially Andreas. No one puts more love and care into his property than he does. As soon as you step foot inside you can feel the love and the magic of Hydra. We can’t wait to come back!

We stayed at Rafalias Mansion and it was honestly one of the most welcoming and beautiful places I have ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, Andreas made us feel at home with his kindness, warmth, and incredible attention to detail. His hospitality truly exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spotless, stylishly decorated, and perfectly equipped with everything we could possibly need. The mansion itself has a unique charm — centrally located yet peaceful, with a stunning, spacious garden that makes the whole place feel like an oasis. Staying here was without a doubt the best decision we made in Hydra. Everything was comfortable, thoughtful, and simply perfect. We fell in love with this place and with Andreas’s generosity and warmth. Next year we are definitely coming back, and we wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else!

If you’re going to Hydra, you must stay at Rafalias Mansion!!! This is accommodation that breaths history, tradition, style, and superb service. The family that owns it is second oldest on the island and generations have cherished and contributed to what the place is today. In addition to your own studio with little kitchen and bathroom, you can make use of a beautiful common garden with tables, beach chairs and jacuzzi. The rooms are being cleaned every day; you are brought some cold water and breakfast basket (consisting of bread, honey, jams). The room has bath robes, slippers, beach towels, a beach bag and even a snorkelling gear. Now, that’s really thought-through service! You should think of it as a boutique hotel, rather than a private accommodation. But unlike in a hotel, there is lovely Andreas who will warmly welcome you and remain at your disposal for anything that you may need throughout your stay. He provides great tips for the island, and if you’re lucky, he may even grab a drink with you and share some stories. The location of the place is great, with just a short walk from the port, where all the action happens. Overall, you won’t find better value for money on Hydra nor the more enjoyable accommodation!

The host makes you feel at home by proudly introducing you to the house, which is filled with family memories collected through five generations. The rooms are comfortable and clean nests, while the garden is a wonder in which to stop and relax. With the suggestions of the host and the equipment made available, the rest of the island is at your disposal to enjoy.

Amazing place… The best place to stay if you come to this amazing island of Hydra!!! Historical mansion with a lot of tradition, perfect rooms, beautiful garden, best hospitality from Andreas and the people there!! Hint: close to the pharmacy and down city of Hydra… Everything close!!! It s a paradise you must visit!!!
