Raffles Hotel Le Royal

We had a lovely stay at Raffles during the New Year. The reception staff were friendly, Chary was very welcoming and hospitable, always attentive and always there to assist us with a smile. Thank you as well for the thoughtful gestures for the children.||Breakfast was fine in terms of food but the service experience could be better. The waiting time was longer than expected, and the service felt less personal than the luxury standard we anticipated.||Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The hotel features wonderful swimming pools and a jacuzzi, and the property itself is beautiful and charming, showcasing local heritage and culture through its well-maintained colonial architecture.

Impeccable service. Lovely ambiance. Great location. The pool area is an oasis. The Brasserie for dinner is not up to the high standards the hotel sets - food unimaginative and no beers on tap (Brasserie is French for brewery after all). By contrast, the breakfast is excellent. Finally, the Elephant Bar is a very special place - friendly staff, perfect drinks, good bar food. One point of criticism: Heineken as the only beer on tap is disappointing. When in Phnom Penh, I would like to drink Cambodian draught beers.

My stay was highly enjoyable, and the hotel’s facilities were of an excellent standard. The only minor observation was that some staff members had limited English proficiency, which occasionally resulted in slight communication challenges and minor delays. Nevertheless, the butler service was exceptional. I would also like to extend special recognition to the hotel manager for her exemplary attention to detail and outstanding guest engagement. Her professionalism and dedication to service were truly commendable. In addition, I would like to acknowledge the Concierge Team for their excellent organisation of day trips and a magnificent food tour, which my family and I thoroughly enjoyed and would confidently recommend to other guests. Finally, special recognition should be given to Adrien at the front desk, whose exceptional professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine customer engagement made him a true asset to the hotel.

We have just enjoyed a lovely stay at Raffles Hotel Le Royal. The staff here is superb, attentive, and very friendly. The guest's relation manager and Head Butler (French team member) were incredible in ensuring that we had the most pleasant stay; nothing was too much trouble, and their desire to ensure our stay was memorable was very touching, service from the heart! We enjoyed the Gin Bar where the staff here are very knowledgeable about the Gins, friendly, good fun, and there is a selection of about 220! We really enjoyed our evening in the Restaurant Le Royal, the service was exceptional, and the food was absolutely amazing, such a treat! Le Phnom 1929 was a great place for breakfast, the staff were all very helpful, friendly, and wished to please. We ate here on arrival in the evening, and we were looked after by a team member called 'Monday' (name Saakaan?) who was absolutely wonderful, full of positive energy, and such an ambassador for the hotel. The receptionists were always smiling, attentive, professional, immaculately dressed in their uniforms, happy to help, warm, and friendly. The housekeeping team at the hotel is fantastic, so clean, and they pay great attention to detail. The tuk-tuk service was much appreciated and enjoyed. Lovely historic hotel with impeccable service. Rooms are large and have lovely retro details and finishings. Every staff member greets you and asks if they can help so you never feel at a loss for help when you need it. The food, especially the breakfast and coffee, was exceptional. I enjoyed an incredible massage at the spa that capped off a really great stay. The Elephant Bar has great drinks and snacks during happy hour and the staff there learned our favorites after only a day or so.

Very much enjoyed our stay. The entrance foyer is elegant and relaxed. The rooms small but comfortable and well maintained. The breakfast was good with the bonus of rosé champagne. The cocktails at Elephant Bar were tasty and nicely sized servings. And the dinner at Restaurant Le Royal was relaxed and enjoyable with a reasonably priced wine pairing to match. The spa had a Valentines Day campaign for couples which added to our stay. Overall what we had hoped from the Raffles and a recommended stay.

Great location with very attentive staff. The room was a great size with a very comfortable bed and super pillows. The grounds were well kept and the pools were a reasonable size. We ate dinner here and the food was excellent without being too pricey. The breakfasts had plenty of choice for everyone and it was nice to be served rather than buffet style. The Elephant bar lacked a little atmosphere but it was ok. Would definitely stay here again

Went for high tea, it was delightful. Someone blessed us with a gift card and the staff treated us as well as if we were paying ourselves. Good food, great atmosphere, very peaceful and elegant without making you feel under-dressed. I think the only negative feedback was that the actual tea was not very good, tried 3/6 they had on offer and they were all pretty blah. BUT it didn’t detract from the excellent service. Thanks guys! We had a great time.
