I had a very pleasant stay at Raffles Phnom Penh, with several memorable moments.
I would especially like to compliment the housekeeping team for their thoughtful and delightful service. One day, I left a tip with a small note asking them to fold a towel elephant. When I returned to the room, I was surprised to find two towel swans arranged with rose petals instead—far beyond what I expected. It was incredibly cute and genuinely made my day. :)
The food quality was excellent. I ordered room service twice during my stay, and both meals were delicious. Once the order was placed, the delivery was prompt and the service was efficient.
That said, there is room for improvement in the room service phone system. On both occasions, I was unable to reach room service directly by phone and had to call the front desk first, who then asked room service to call my room back. It may be helpful for the hotel to check the phone lines or internal call routing to make this process smoother.
Another area that could be improved is the breakfast service speed. Although the kitchen appeared well staffed, the waiting time for breakfast was quite long each morning. On one occasion, I ordered a bowl of noodles and waited nearly 30 minutes, which felt a bit long for breakfast service.
Overall, Raffles remains a charming hotel with warm service and excellent food. With some improvements to the room service communication and breakfast efficiency, the experience would be even more enjoyable.
