The villa itself is exceptional — spacious, beautifully designed and easily superior to other properties we’ve stayed at in Singapore. The food was also excellent, and the setting was perfect for celebrating my parents’ birthdays (25 & 26 Feb).
Unfortunately, the butler service was a major disappointment. After a short buggy tour and receiving a contact card, there was no proactive contact at all. Not a single call during our stay, despite the service being presented as 24/7.
We had to chase for a pre-arranged birthday cake (booked since January), request and reconfirm our own late check-out, and even call reception ourselves when no buggy arrived at our confirmed 1:30pm departure. Housekeeping also turned up to clean the villa two hours after we had just checked in.
At check-out, the butler did not appear — only two plush toys were left at the counter, followed by an invoice email after we left.
For context, we have experienced excellent, proactive butler service at Marina Bay Sands, The Fullerton Hotel Singapore (Suites) and Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa (Villas).
Here, the service was disengaged and purely reactive.
Because of this, we decided not to extend our stay or dine at the on-site restaurants — which we had originally planned.
Amazing villa. Very disappointing butler service.
