Railay Beach

Although the beach is a very touristy place with a lot of longtail boats arriving, it is worth a visit. The scenery with the rocks coming out of the water is amazing. There is enough space to lay on the sand or enjoy a swim. You can walk from here to the East side and the other beach, which are also nice. A lot of restaurants and bars or tourist shops available, I found the prices higher than in Ao Nang.

Beautiful and very clean beach — a must-visit when in Krabi. You need to take a boat to reach it, which itself adds to the experience. We had lots of fun, enjoyed the views, and spent a great time there. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.

Railay Beach is mainly fine sand, but some areas have a mixture of gravel and fine sand. It’s a very beautiful beach, but get there early before all the boats start to arrive. The only bar on the beach is Railay Cafe, and this has limited seats with beach and ocean views. Enjoy!

It's really a nice beach, water is much cleaner than in Ao Nang, there's no sand slime in it. There're cafes and restaurants. Please bare in mind that if you stay after the sunset, after 18:00, boat crew will charge you extra 50THB for the ticket back to the pier (also if you already have the blue ticket to come back).

Nice clean beach with dramatic cliffs. There are no coral reefs so snorkeling here has nothing special to offer. There are restaurants, bars and coconut stands on the beach. What my family and I liked the most was the low tide in the evening, revealing the bottom of a large stretch of beach with all the marine life, so it's interesting to explore with the kids.

Reachable only by boat, but the high frequency does not make it a problem. Will get crowded, but its large size provide plenty of room. Plenty of eating and shop possibilities in the village.

This small peninsula, accessible only by sea from Ao Nang Beach, about 15 minutes by longtail boat, has several beaches. The most beautiful, in my opinion, is Phra Nang Beach, considered one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world. Just a few dozen meters from the shore, enormous, striking limestone rocks rise up, one in particular accessible by wading into the sea at low tide. The water at Phra Nang Beach is very clean and transparent, while the other two beaches I visited, Railay Beach West and Railay Beach East, are reachable with a short 15-minute walk, especially the latter, which is a normal beach.

This is a must-see place in Thailand, especially at low tide when you can walk to nearby caves. The ferry from Ao Nang is well organized and runs all day 100 baht one way. Go early and can stay there all day.
