Railay West Beach

Very picturesque location and worth the visit. Very easy to get from Ao Nang via longboat for 200baht per person return. We went just after midday and wasn't too busy. Lots of cafes or restaurants for food and drinks. More expensive than Ao Nang and they accept credit card but doesnt always work. Best to carry cash. Beach is very safe being shallow and quite calm. Can hire kayak or paddleboards for 200-300baht per hour. Main issue is that there are lots of very sharp rocks and we sustained a few cuts on our feet. Would recommend reef walkers. We only stayed for the afternoon as we were concerned re the return trip after 6pm.

Great and beautiful beach but go early get first boat or two. This is when we really enjoyed our time but it soon got busy. Also dont pitch up to close to sea as it comes in alot

One of the most beautiful & famous beaches in Krabi area! We came here with a longtail boat that we bought the tickets for right at the pier. We paid 200 baht for a roundtrip per person and the boats leave as soon as they're full (it can sometimes take some time, really depends on the weather and time of the day). The beach is wide, beautiful and peaceful, some spots with shade and even small caves you can sit under. There aren't any shops or restaurants at the beach itself, but you can enter Railay's main road that's full of these if you'd like to buy a drink or have something to eat. We on the right side of the beach, far away from where the longtail boats park, leave & depart from and we got to see some monkeys and even a komodo lizard at the wild which was insane!!

Quieter and less crowded than Railay Beach, although it is a bit of a hike to get there using the path. I saw many people rock climbing, which looked awesome. (On some maps it's named Tonsai Beach)

The beach is usually crowded, lots of boats that make noise and pollution. Cannot walk into the water because it's full of sharp rocks everywhere.

Stunning beach. We got there from Ao Nam Mao pier, costing 100baht on a long tail boat. The walk from the pier to the beach is around 10 minutes, and you walk past plenty of shops to grab bits and pieces. On the beach itself, there are plenty of spaces with shade, so just remember to bring a towel or a mat so you can relax. Only thing is I couldn’t find a hose or anything to wash off the sand afterwards. Also it’s not obvious where the bins are (there are some big wooden box like bins near the pier though). But nevertheless, a beautiful beach and a must visit in Krabi.

Way, way too touristy. Lost its beauty and charms. The beach was rather muddy and the water murky. No longer the beauty as it once was. 😞

Railay is just amazing! Small and peaceful with beautiful beaches that you can walk to closed rocks during low tide. At night sunset is extremely blue and red. Hope we can visit again next year! Highly recommended
