Lahore railway station has improved a lot. Their family sitting area and platforms are well maintained now. I like the vibe of starting too. It gives you classic Englishman built building with cool and antique vibe. I have visited and traded from here many times. The cleanliness was great. I appreciate the management.

Visited Lahore Junction recently and honestly had a pretty good experience. The old building has its own charm, and even with the crowd, it wasn’t hard to figure out where to go. Staff were decent. Platforms were clean enough and the signage helped a lot. Overall, a smooth stop for a traveler passing through.

The railway station lahore is the most oldest station in Pakistan. It builts before Pakistan creation and built by English government. The Railway station is very busy as there are always train service in action. There are around 20 platforms and you get trains for all over Pakistan. Almost every facility is available. Recommended to travel by train once.

CIP and Family Lounges: The introduction of the new Commercially Important Person (CIP) and Family Waiting Halls is a game-changer. These areas offer plush, air-conditioned comfort, free Wi-Fi, modern workstations, and refreshments, often at a very reasonable price point (reportedly as low as Rs300 for the CIP lounge). It provides a genuinely five-star experience that rivals many smaller airports. Improved Accessibility: The installation of modern escalators has significantly enhanced accessibility, making it much easier for the elderly, women, and those with heavy luggage to move between the busy platforms. Amenities: Basic facilities are well-covered, with improved seating arrangements and cleaner waiting areas compared to previous years. There are now several food outlets, including international fast-food chains, making meal options plentiful. While the station can still be overwhelmingly crowded during peak times, and some maintenance issues might persist in certain side areas (like cargo lanes), the overall commitment by Pakistan Railways to revitalize this iconic landmark is highly commendable. The Lahore Junction Railway Station offers a vibrant, efficient, and historically rich transit experience that is an attraction in itself. It is the perfect gateway to and from the heart of Pakistan.

Despite renovation, Lahore Railway Station still lacks basic standards. Although an information desk has been added and paid washrooms are available, these changes are not enough. There is no proper price control at food stalls, and hygienic food is largely unavailable. Serious attention is required to improve passenger facilities and overall management.

Wow, the station has changed so much recently! The new escalators on the platforms are a lifesaver, especially when you have heavy bags. I also really liked the upgraded AC waiting halls and the new CIP lounge—it feels much more like a modern terminal now. Cleanliness has definitely improved, and the new LED screens for train timings make things so much easier. Great to see this historic building getting the modern touch it deserves!
