This was our last stop on a 3 week Legacy Vacation. This was the first trip to FP for most of our group, and this was a great way to complete out time. We sort of knew what we were getting, but were all a little anxious about what we were getting into. That quickly ended as soon as the boat hit the dock. The whole crew, including all of the dogs met us when we arrived at the dock. Yes, it is an hour boat ride from the airport, but the transportation was efficiently run. The resort has a true Family feel to it. the Staff is minimal and all live on the premises. It is a very laid back vibe, and just what you need to completely unplug for a few days. ||Lets talk food ! The meals were always prepared fresh everyday. The Rolls and bread were hot if we were diving early, right out of the oven. Lunch and dinner were usually catch of the day. The joke was, if we don't catch anything, we fix chicken. The fish dishes were prepared in a variety of ways so it was never the same. ||Rooms - We stayed in a Lagoon Bungalow. The Oceanside Bungalows are nicer, and the bathrooms are inside your hut. They were also a little more enclosed due to the heavier weather that hits from the ocean side. Our Bungalow was very open with a curtain door, and open sides, but private enough with the roof line. The resort had a powered Themo-cell in our hut, mosquito's were not an issue. We had a private bathroom, but it was a separate hut adjacent to our Bungalow. Because of the openness of the hut, if you are squeamish about critters, maybe this is not what you want. We loved the vibe, with the wind blowing through at night, and hearing some of the waves crashing from the ocean side, we slept great ! Not a lot of storage in our unit, but our visit was only 5 days. ||Extras - half of our group was there to dive. The Resort had excursions everyday to different points that were close. Moon Beach, Pink Beach, and an outer Island for snorkeling or Sun. The Dive Shop was located on site. We had full use of the Kayaks they had on site and we did some afternoon runs on the Lagoon to snorkel in different places. ||This is a very secluded Resort at the far south end of the Island. If you are looking for shopping, outside restaurants, or other attractions, not the Resort for you. If you want a relaxing vibe and unplug, BOOK IT !

We stayed here for 12 wonderful, offline days, and recommend Raimiti wholeheartedly! We had 4 nights in the charming and simple lagoon-side bungalows, and the rest on the ocean side. We loved both, but the ocean side gives you ocean winds and more space. It is rustic & quiet - if you need a spa, room service and a nightclub, Raimiti is not for you. But if you like a morning swim with blacktip sharks, solitary walks on the reef, or romantic sunsets, then you should make the journey to this little isolated paradise. If you are divers they cooperate with the Enata dive center wich is on site.

We had an absolutely stellar stay at Raimiti. Everyone was so friendly and welcomed you wholeheartedly to their paradise 🏝️ we came for three nights during our honeymoon to FP and we really wished we had booked more! It was so serene, the food was amazing, we watched blacktip reef sharks each morning, went diving with Enata to the south pass for 4 unforgettable dives. This place is utter bliss! We will return ASAP!

Someone once described Raimiti as being “on the edge of the world,” and they weren’t wrong. Staying here felt like a page out of Castaway or Robinson Crusoe: remote, simple, and unlike anywhere else. The team at Raimiti made the experience even better. The welcome was warm, the food was excellent, and the whole place had real character. Sharks passed along the shoreline, crabs wandered the paths, music played at dinner, and the nights were made for stargazing. During the day, my wife and I dived with Enata Diving and spent slow afternoons back at Raimiti. There’s no WiFi, which made it easy to switch off and just enjoy being there. The bungalows are basic but comfortable, with plenty of charm. No air conditioning, but with a breeze we slept well. The Crusoe ocean bungalow is worth it. The sound of waves at night is unforgettable. Bring bug spray for calm nights when the wind drops. If you’re after a sense of adventure without giving up comfort, this is the spot. And if you dive, the South Pass and its “wall of sharks” is a must. We visited Moorea, Bora Bora, Rangiroa, and Tikehau, but Fakarava was our favorite, largely because of Raimiti. When we come back to French Polynesia, this is the one place we’ll return to.

If you are considering visiting this beautiful part of the world just do it!! You need to be ok with leaving a few creature comforts behind and have a sense of adventure but you won’t regret it! We had a large bungalow on the ocean side with the sound of surf crashing on the reef to lull you to sleep at night. The view from our deck was never ending looking out at the blue blue pacific ocean. We sat on the deck and watched the hermit crabs going about their very busy lives, the sea birds and atoll doves flying by, the incredible coconut crab eating urchins and other delights of the sea in the shrubs out front. At night the carpet of stars overhead was incredible. The staff here were warm and helpful, the food coming out of the kitchen for lunch and dinner was surprisingly great (surprising because of how far away from everything we were), the daily excursions were simple, well organized and fun. Our snorkel through the South Pass will never be forgotten because of the abundance of sea life and crystal clear water. We were here 4 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. With each day the stress of daily life began to melt away a little more. I hope to be able to come back here again some day and stay longer. Thank you Raimiti for sharing your paradise 💙💙💙

In November I stayed at Raimiti pension at the south end of Fakarava for 8 days. It was my second stay. My last visit was 9 years ago. Then as now it is a portal allowing you to view and step into nature as it is. It is a beautiful elegant environment. Bungalows face both the ocean side of the motu and the lagoon side. Activities like snorkeling are usually best done on the lagoon side and the staff routinely take 1/2 day trips to various motus on the lagoon for snorkeling and bird watching. I have seen snorkelers on the ocean side but it is not a common sight. ||One of the most exciting activities in the south is scuba diving. There is a dive shop on the premises run by Enata Fakarava Diving. We dove with them for 7 days and can only say it was the best. They provide gear if needed along with tanks and weights. Almost all the diving is in the south pass. The south pass is home to hundreds of sharks, hectares of coral and large schools of fish. The ecosystem is very much alive. There are Crown of Thorns starfish which are a menace but the locals are working hard to remove them and use them as fertilizer. ||Despite being at sea level the night sky is magnificent, very very mesmerizing. Almost every night I was able to enjoy star gazing and also photograph the sky. It’s easy to see local galaxies nearby our own easily seen galaxy. ||During our stay in the north some one told us there is nothing to do in the south. I beg to differ! If you are focused on going to restaurants stay in the north as there are a number of them. Or if you feel the need to go shopping in the only store then, yes, Raimiti might not be your cup of tea.|If you want to embrace nature then travel south to Raimiti, its the place for you. There is no caveat here, you must know yourself. ||The bungalows are more than adequate with a bathroom and shower in each. The bungalows have electricity and lighting but a flash light is useful for walking in the evening from dinner to your bungalow. The proprietor and staff work hard to make your stay comfortable and interesting. Beds are made every day, towels and soap are provided. Bring your own shampoo.|The staff provide excellent cuisine, breakfast lunch and dinner. Raimiti is in a very remote part of the island so each day is the chiefs choice, often fish and a variety of vegetables. There is a bar which opens at 5 pm serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks/soda. But the drink of the day, all day, is water which is provided in abundance. ||There is a magic about Raimiti. One simply melts into the exquisite world of the motu. There is a certain elegance about the place leaving me with lasting impressions like a Monet.

This was so amazing and refreshing. Mahlua has created an off the beaten path paradise. Everything is so charming and you really feel welcomed. There’s a dog welcoming crew and you eat fresh fish daily. The open air bungalows with the white noise of the ocean are exactly what was needed.||A few tips: bring a refillable water bottle, bring ear plugs to sleep if the ocean waves are too much for you, bring bug spray. Book in advance especially if you plan to partake in their amazing diving !||This is the perfect setting to unwind and unplug. I highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

Amazing amazing place. Perfect balance of off the grid and boutique hotel. Food was all great. Staff beyond friendly and helpful. Wildlife everywhere and dive center onsite was perfect. Other daily activities if not diving. Highly recommend
