On the Grid : Fabrika Daga

"As the name suggests (“daga” means rainbow) is rich with tastes, be it for coffee or delicious breakfasts and desserts. Situated below Dondukov boulevard, this place is perfect for energizing before a long day or a walk around one of Sofia’s quietest and most charming neighborhoods." - Next Digital Creative

Small brunch spot in Sofia, and while it has charm and some standout elements, a few details kept it from being a five-star experience. Pros: Tasty food: The flavors were genuinely good. The Egg Benedict and other dishes were well-seasoned and nicely presented. Fast service: Orders come out quickly, which is great if you're short on time. Areas for improvement: Cold egg: The egg in the Egg Benedict was unfortunately cold, suggesting it may have been prepared in advance. No cold coffee: Surprising and disappointing during the hot summer months. Portion size vs. price: Portions felt quite small compared to what you'd expect at that price point in Sofia. Limited seating: There are only a couple of places to sit. Be prepared to wait or take your food to go. Other notes: This is a self-service spot—order at the counter and pick up your food when it's ready. It’s not a sit-down restaurant, more of a casual takeaway or quick bite kind of place. Summary: A flavorful brunch option for those on the move. Just know what to expect in terms of portion size and setup. Still worth a visit if you’re nearby and craving something tasty.

I used to come here frequently almost six years ago and it was a pleasant surprise to see it still open and serving amazing food. A fantastic option for breakfast, off the main streets and a really nice location. Eggs and Avacado a highly recommended as well as fresh Orange juice. Highly recommend for breakfast.

The food was good, typical brunch food, what i really liked was that they had a creme brulee donut that was delicious. We ordered some french toast and some eggs benedict and a donut for dessert. The only downside was that the space was a little cramped, and the toilet was kinda messy. But overall, it was a good experience.

Amazing place. I've been to this place so many times since I was a kid, and I've loved it ever since. We were very pleased with the kind smiles, awesome food, and pleasant atmosphere that this place could offer. The menu on the photos here on Google maps is a bit outdated since the menu that they gave us at the restaurant was different, and stuff were a little bit more expensive. Overall great!

Our favorite dish are the delicious Panagurski eggs - we absolutely loved that at Rainbow Factory, they are seasoned with Za’atar (and not with garlic)! The Mekitsi were wonderfully hot and crisp, served with plum jam and sheep cheese. Self service.

The food here is out of this world. We took the beef sandwich, eggs with yogurt and zaatar, salad with grilled vegetables, and several drinks. We also took home a piece of sweet banitsa (if I remember correctly) which was amazing with just the right amount of sweetness. The service was a little tired maybe, but it was Sunday morning so I can't blame them. The biggest surprise was however the toilet paper in the bathroom! It's the GOOD kind! The thick and soft paper, the expensive one! So many restaurants and cafes cheap out on the toilet paper, maybe thinking no one will notice, but we do, and we always appreciate attention to details.

One of staff came to us said the other staff want us to come back to pay and pick up the food for items they have missed. (You should have listened well at first or waited until we finished our warm food ) Staff was RUDE!! food was not good at all Pancake thing was way too salty it wasn’t eatable. So disappointed

Conveniently located brunch spot with tasty food and friendly staff. They offer a “menu of the day” with soups and special dishes. I had the salmon sandwich and it was flavorful, though the salmon’s color seemed a bit off. My friend got the chicken tortilla, which was absolutely delicious.
