A 4WD is suggested but there's no way I'd take a sedan or hatch in the heavily rutted road unless it was a rental! The experience at the end is well worthwhile, particularly at sunset.

The location is wonderful and the camp fire pits are great.
Environmental destruction:
But as other reviewers have said the logic of putting cheap black plastic paths in - in places that regularly reach about 40 degrees and is in the hot sun in a forever summer is insane and has caused more environmental damage than visiting whitees. There are hundreds and thousands of black plastic bits now over this land.
Pit toilets:
The pit toilets are disgusting. No water for the toilets so make sure you bring baby wipes and fly spray. Not sure why they can’t invest in tanks so people can at least wash their hands.

Beautiful place to camp for a couple days, except for the flies...very friendly. Camp ground is great picnic shelters, BBQ and toilets. Recommend
