A 4WD is suggested but there's no way I'd take a sedan or hatch in the heavily rutted road unless it was a rental! The experience at the end is well worthwhile, particularly at sunset.

OMG!!! Please Premier of NT, improve the road to visit this beautiful place. If we did not have a medium SV I doubt whether we would’ve made it! But the valley itself was beautiful with a clean toilet too .

Look, it's a great park it just needs the road graded in, and also, the paths need cleaned up. They are made up of all those horrible plastic squares that have deteriorated and have lots of sharp pieces for humans and animals. Needs to be removed. Otherwise, I would give it a 5.

The location is wonderful and the camp fire pits are great. Environmental destruction: But as other reviewers have said the logic of putting cheap black plastic paths in - in places that regularly reach about 40 degrees and is in the hot sun in a forever summer is insane and has caused more environmental damage than visiting whitees. There are hundreds and thousands of black plastic bits now over this land. Pit toilets: The pit toilets are disgusting. No water for the toilets so make sure you bring baby wipes and fly spray. Not sure why they can’t invest in tanks so people can at least wash their hands. Accommodation Bookings online only You need to book this site before you leave home. There is not internet out here.
