Met up friends at The Raincheck Lounge. It was the perfect spot to enjoy good food and relax in a cozy corner. Cool vibe and great atmosphere. Service was awesome and the food was so tasty! From Egg & bacon on a bun or Eggs Benedict, all was perfect, fast and fresh!! Who can resist Mimosas for 5$ on Sundays?!! Good job Raincheck Lounge!! 💛💛💛

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time at this spot during our trip to Tasmania. It was a pleasant change to find unique menu options, offering something different from the usual cafe fare. The coffee was excellent, and the food quality was outstanding. The service was also impeccable. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Rain Check Lounge is an absolute lifesaver for an early start! The coffee is top notch smooth, rich, and exactly what’s needed to kickstart the day. The staff were welcoming even early in the morning, and the cozy atmosphere makes it a great place to take a moment before a busy day.

4.5/5! This is so good but the coffee is average. Being served by a short brown hair, she is a lovely staff.

I went for a sneaky little breakfast this morning. It was one of the loveliest café experiences I’ve had in a long while. The staff were all really friendly and happy. Fresh flowers on all the tables. Great batch brew. Food was incredible (especially the truffled mushrooms on rosti) and Bloody Mary’s were delicious and also hilarious as the bartender said he just felt like sticking a whole tree in the glass! The entire restaurant was looking at us as they arrived! It was quite a fun spectacle! Very dramatic 🤣 it put us all in a great mood. Highly recommended.

Good was great, but a bit pricey. Service was very ordinary, we had to ask the staff to wipe down the table! They had cleared and reset it without wiping down the table. She wasn't very personable after that. Food came quickly and was tasty, coffee was nice and hot, juice was good.

Looking for somewhere for an early dinner at 4 pm, we decided on the Raincheck Lounge. I guess being at the end of the work day for the wait staff predicted that we wouldn't be greeted as you normally would be but told to sit wherever we liked. Being OK with that we took our seats. The service remained the same with a waiter with little motivation to provide any kind of personality into his service. Food was okay but the chicken burger could have had a few more things in it other than lettuce and cheese. Wine was served in glasses that looked like they had seen better days. I get it, perhaps the day had been long, perhaps we weren't some of the beautiful hipster type that frequent the place but perhaps, just perhaps the service could be more professional to encourage us to return to spend our money. 😬

Yelp
Goldilocks eats here - its just right. I had passed this place several times and always seemed busy, many locals at the tables. Decided to have brunch - and wow it is great - coffee is great and food is great. Table service - the friendly staff will find you a spot. Menu is pretty standard but a few interesting dishes. Reasonable GF options, try the Raincheck Stack. Ordered coffee and brunch - service was prompt coffee arrived and just after the food. Coffee ticked all the boxes - crema, smell and taste was just right. Brunch was great - busy buzz about the place. The food was ideal. 5 stars!

Yelp
Raincheck, sitting on the northern edge of the North Hobart Restaurant Strip, past a few of the chain franchises is pretty understated, from the outside at least. It's not huge inside but not tiny either, with a few tables outside along Elizabeth Street for people watching. The menu is small but not plain, specials regularly change and offer more than just the bare minimum. Coffee is good, not spectacular but ironically there aren't that many great coffee places that end of North Hobart. However if you want a coffee past 3pm it's one of the few places that's still open "late"- I.e. 8pm. It's one of the most consistently high quality cafes that end of North Hobart, and it manages to straddle the line between a "cafe" and a "restaurant".

Yelp
Great burrito bowl. Fresh ingredients and great flavour. The service was prompt and friendly. Definitely a business worth supporting.

Yelp
Is this the place to get the best coffee in Hobart.... who knows, what i do know is that you can't go wrong with the coffee here. We also did lunch and breakfast here over a couple of days. No complaints, food was very good.

Yelp
Hmmm, why is this place so popular with the locals? Unfortunately I didn't find out on this visit. Their menu is short and varied, just what you need early in the morning. I wouldn't choose to eat here for breakfast again, for a number of reasons. The coffee was good but not great, there's a lot better in Hobart, They have tried to put their own twist on eggs benedict, bacon instead of quality ham, not only that, the bacon was full of fat, To add to the cholesterol they have also added cheese. So if you feel like a mouthful of fat then maybe you'll love it. The bread was way too thin and tasted like it had been bought from coles from their so called gourmet section. Presentation was also poor mind you I suppose its too hard to dress up a plate of fat. Service was good to start with, an attentive waitperson, but the meal took a while to come out. When paying my bill, I decided that the counter staff need a holiday to learn to relax again. They really need to use more quality locally sourced produce. The good points were; a great space, egg yolks were runny, and the sautéed Huon mushrooms were delicious.

Yelp
The service was fine. The eggs royale were kinda weird and lacking seasoning. The soy latte was bitter. The place was bustling, although I'm sure it's more about the atmosphere than the food or coffee...

Yelp
Every time I go here I feel the same - it has lots of potential, but fails to live up to it. The food is ok, but nothing unique or special to differentiate it from other cafes around Hobart. There is nothing specifically wrong, the food just lacks imagination. The place is generally crowded, and I think that is more to do with location than anything else.

Yelp
I really like the Raincheck Lounge. The atmosphere is always great and the decor is funky and fun (did I really just say funky?). During the day they serve good quality cafe food and at night they swap over to a pretty good tapas menu. The food and coffee is consistently good, but service can be a little slow when they're busy - if you are in a rush make sure to let them know.

Yelp
I don't know why the average rating is so low because I have loved everything I've eaten here. Their Spanish omelette is full of cheese, chorizo and flavour and it's huge, the maple syrup, bacon and banana French toast is also a delicious feast. I had a flourless chocolate cake one night too, which was decadent, chocolatey and so, so satisfying! The decor is nice and homely, it's always warm and the staff have only been friendly

Yelp
Good food, ok coffee, great atmosphere and waitstaff with a refreshing sense of humour.

Yelp
I've been a fan of Raincheck lounge for a number of years...I think they've been open for just over ten now! Anyway I'm a huge fan of their coffee and super easy atmosphere! This is the kind of place you can roll in an just have coffee and be left along on the couch to read a book or paper in a nice environment...no hassle to move along or order more. If you do go for some food expect it to be full of good flavored and calories! I particularly love their burger options and huge breakfasts!
