We stayed in the "treehouse" room, which I'd definitely recommend if it is available. A little like "glamping" - very sound structure but was open to the forest on the upper sides, very clean and lovely, surrounded by beautiful trees and could hear so many birds. Outdoor shower but secluded and private. The owner was friendly and helpful, even took us on a guided walk around the property, discussing the rainforest plants and the quirky sculptures throughout. Although there was a small kitchen in the treehouse, we mostly ate nearby as several decent restaurants/cafes in Cape Trib

Gaye and Lee are outstanding hosts, full of information and stories. We had 4 nights in the treehouse and explored the property every day and most nights. Fireflies! The creek is full of life at night. Falling asleep to the sound of the creek and critters was magical.

This is a unique place to experience the rainforest and get away from it all. The accommodation is really unique but has everything you need to make it comfy like a great bed, tea and coffee, hot showers and a small fridge in each room. ||Gaye and Lee are loving their new life onsite and are working hard to show off the uniqueness of this property which was made from hand and has so many fun and quirky statues onsite. They love a chat with guests and the opportunity to show off their piece of paradise.||My 13yo son wasn’t sure at first but when he met the owners and their dogs and realised he could get wifi on the reception couch he enjoyed it 😆||Walking around the property in the day and night are great experiences to appreciate all that’s there. ||During our stay we did a full day 4wd trip with a local, Kane, the zip lining and ocean safari snorkelling (always go in the morning for better weather). Stop in Mossman to get supplies at Woolies on the way up. Gaye will give you the tips when you book.||We actually stayed in 2 rooms onsite. The bungalow is smaller (but newer) and as a teenager and mum travelling, they kindly moved us to the larger room the next day which was also great. We looked at the treehouse too! That’s fun and a work of art in itself!||Thanks Gaye and Lee, we appreciated your warm welcome and James misses Allota already. Em&James. 😀

We were lost for words about how incredible this place was. It truly embraced the nature of the Daintree Rainforest surrounding the area with the creatures just wondering around us without either the residents or the wildlife disturbing the other party. ||||The bed was comfy, the sounds of nature were just beautiful, no noises of traffic or light pollution anywhere. It was just peaceful and we loved it. ||The water comes from the streams located nearby so you can rely on it coming from a good source. ||It's amazing to think that one person built all of the rooms here in addition to the 100+ unique statues onsite. ||||You have to stay here when visiting North East Australia. A simple fact. If you don't, you'll regret it.

After staying years ago in one of the cabins, finally got to come back and stay in the treehouse. This is in my top five places I've ever stayed. Situated down a winding pathway from the other accommodation, the treehouse sits at mid level right in the rainforest. No human-made sounds can be heard, only the birds, rustling palm leaves and a nearby stream. It is well designed to take in a 270 degree view of the forest while lying in bed. There is a small, but functional, kitchen and upstairs toilet and a downstairs shower open to the forest (instantaneous hot water). Some of the furniture and fittings were made out of local timber by the first owner/builder. We were thrilled to see a young cassawary and bush turkeys right outside and to watch bats flying by at dusk. Since staying at the property previously, new owners Gay and Leigh have made some improvements including solar power and batteries, allowing a fridge and fan in the treehouse. It is the perfect mix of comfort and nature at the treehouse.

Location is an absolute highlight - completely nestled in the Daintree rainforest. Our cabin had a private outdoor kitchen and bathroom overlooking the rainforest, and our own private pathway to a table/chairs/sculpture under the rainforest canopy. It'd be impossible to be more immersed in the beautiful environment. Our cabin was beautifully clean and we received a very warm, friendly welcome from Gaye who showed us around the property. There are many spots on the property for guests to use and enjoy the rainforest even more, including seating by a private creek. You could stay here without even leaving the property and have an amazing rainforest getaway. However it is only a short walk to restaurants, cafes, and the beach.

The sculptured treehouse was a unique and adventurous experience to stay in. It's an artists paradise, in a scenic, natural lush forest setting 150 metres away in all directions from what feels like civilisation.. very private. Listening to the sounds of birds, rustling foliage and the running creek made mornings a very relaxing way to wake up. There are no windows to close, therefore you're open to the elements, which is exciting and another unique part of the experience. A shade cloth is available on all sides if you feel the need to use it... We didn't. The bed was extremely comfortable with the added benefit of a toilet on the same level as the main living area. The outdoor bathroom (with running hot & cold water shower) was a fun experience especially with the local bush turkeys metres from us who weren't bothered by our presence. We stayed 4 nights, yet I could have stayed longer. We cannot speak high enough of the owner's, Gaye and Leigh who were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us to make our stay more comfortable - Thank You so much... we will be back!!! ||||Walking around the property on the specially made paths, to view sculptures in amongst the forest was nothing short of amazing... It's got to be seen to be believed. There's even a man made pool to dunk in within the running freshwater creek, with a sculptured table close by to relax with a few drinks We can guarantee you've not stayed anywhere in comparison to this property. ||||For those with mobility issues keep in mind that the main living area where the bed, kitchen, table, balconies and toilet are, is on the first level, while the bathroom and sculptured lounge are on the ground level. There's approx. 15 stairs to climb to the first level with a great sculptured handrail you can hold on to. ||||The property is a half hour walk from the beach and a wonderful boardwalk leading to an inlet home to a few local salt water crocs... Don't swim!! This is a mecca for bird-watchers. Also a short walk in the opposite direction is a natural spring creek where you can swim next door to a cafe selling a variety croc, emu and kangaroo burgers that were super yummy.

We loved our 2 night stay in the cabin.|With our love for camping and nature it was a wonderful mix of feeling like we upgraded and treated ourselves to some nights away from the swag.|The outdoor kitchen enabled us to be self sufficient and cooked our own meals during our stay with it being incredibly clean considering it was exposed.|There is a private creek for guests to swim in & a sculpture walk through the forest.|With the accommodation being situated at the north end of cape Tribulation, it meant that many amenities were close by like Emmagen creek for a swim, coffee in the mornings, broad walks, the beach and wood fire pizzas at a local camp ground.|Gaye was a lovely host who made us feel comfortable from the moment we got there but gave us enough space and privacy. |We’ll be staying again. |
