RAINS

I went into the RAINS store on Lafayette to browse their collection. I received such wonderful service from SK that I ended up purchasing a coat. SK was very friendly and knowledgeable about all of the styles. She had great recommendations that helped me make a purchase that I am very happy with. I appreciated her patience in answering my questions and explaining the style differences. It is refreshing to receive such excellent customer service, thank you SK!

Pretty cool store and amazing Store Manager. Amir was fantastic and really helped me pick out the perfect jacket. Definitely recommend you check out this location and ask for him, he knows the product super well, and knows how to style each piece with intention!

The sales associate, SK, was so helpful! She brought a number of different styles for me to try and was so patient while I tried everything on. I ended up going with a color that wasn’t available at the store, but if it wasn’t for the great experience with SK I probably wouldn’t have purchased it.

Bought the convertible/2 way duffle backpack in September. Used it a handful of times. Strap completely broke off. Waiting on customer service. Update: changed review to 3 stars because the sales associate at the store I talked to was kind and helpful. I still have not heard back from customer service. We ended up going to another Rains store (in Paris) and they replaced the bag.

Quality rainproof jackets, pants and bags in actually good looking designs for the fashion conscious crowd that wants to stay dry. But with 3 shop assistants I didn’t even get a hello, not to mention help. And when the shop is this small, and you’re trying to establish your Danish foot on the American clothing market, your employees need to be more aggressive in a friendly way and sell product! Not talk about personal lives and yesterday’s hangovers...

went in to exchange my bag. very quick and easy! the sales associate was very nice and helpful. I love my bag and glad I was able to exchange it with their 2 year warranty! thank you rains!

Great customer service. Was looking for a backpack. The guy who helped me out was very attentive and went out of his way to make sure I found a product I liked.

I had wonderful help in the store trying several of their bags! I have also been very happy with the A line raincoat I bought online several years ago (after loving how it looked on someone I met walking in the park while it was raining!) It was great to try the bags on in person and I got the Sibu bag for a rainy trip to Basque Country. Wonderful bag!! Good price!

This is not a quality product and customer service is horrible. Take a look at the pictures. Customer Service said yesterday, June 14, 2024, in a call that they are aware of issues. However, they said that anything over two years will not be covered. This is not premium service and it is not a premium product, despite the premium price. Buyer Beware!

This store has been open for more than 6 years. I never noticed this store before. Today I went to the MOMA Store and a white bag caught my attention. So I checked out this bag and found out the brand called Rains. That is how I found this store. Small store with varieties of selection from bag, jackets and hats.

Welcome to NYC this new RAINS STOREFRONT! They just opened this new location on Wednesday and it is gorgeous. I purchased a new black raincoat and they gave out a free pouch with a 20% off coupon on there opening day. Everything is such good quality, and the raincoats are very durable. The concept of RAINS is "Danish rainwear." They make everything from Raincoats to Rain Jackets, Ponchos and even waterproof bags all at your fingertips deviled with outstanding quality and great customer service. I originally rented a RAINS jacket and ended up falling in love after I got stuck in pouring rain and my clothing were dry when I wore there raincoat. If you are into raincoats and rainwear I highly suggest paying a visit and purchasing A GREAT INVESTMENT for the rainy days!

The store policy is 14 day returns . I was one day late and the manager refused to take the bag back. Not flexible when dealing with customer service. Their bags are waterproof but no pockets at all inside the bag. These bags are no practical at all and not to comfortable when using them over your shoulder is just looks and weathered gear only.

Love this store. I had really great service. I purchased a raincoat and a roll top backpack on a recent work trip. Love the smooth feel of the fabric. It's worn really well so far. I use the items for work and they are still looking good. I wish that the store opened a little earlier than 11am, but otherwise the store is clean and well laid out.

Love the quality! Great products. Will definitely return for future jackets and gifts for friends.

I purchased their Mountaineer backpack around a year and a half ago and I love the back pack. I always get complements on its sleek and stylish look. I was on a hiking trip this past weekend and the main zipper separated from the bag in one section which made the bag difficult to close. I reached out to their support team via email, and after sending them the photos and receipt they sent me a brand new bag. They even allowed me to select a new color. The support team was very professional and timely in their responses. I love my backpack and this company. Highly recommended! Best, Hamilton

I second Dillon's review. The items are cheaply made and fall apart quickly. Good luck with that "two year warranty", most of the staff is beyond rude and DGAF. I'd be surprised if they make it another year. Def spend your money elsewhere.

I purchased a Christmas gift for my daughter from Rains on-line store. After I received it, I had to ship to her since she lives far away. Long story short, it did not fit her so she shipped it back to me for return to Rains. I received it and when to return it but was 1 DAY past their 35-day returns cutoff. No worries, I emailed them (3x), no response. I tried calling them -rings/rings/rings - they don't even have a vmail system on their phones. Their customer service does NOT exist. DO NOT BUY from this company. I will be turning them into the BBB.

I was at the Rains store at Bleecker street last Monday.July 25 I was browsing then saw a jacket I liked i asked to try a medium size. Then asked to take a picture and told the asian salesman I want to think about it to avoid impulsive purchase. The look he gave me was the worst. Didnt like the attitude. Im still considering buying the jacket but might go to a different Rain shop as I love the brand and have a few things from the Lafayette branch. Stay away from the Bleecker st store. Really bad customer service.

I ordered a rain jacket online and received a flimsy and cheap product. I initiated a return through their overly complicated and wordy website and when I requested a return label I was denied. Unlike every other online retailer this company makes a return process cumbersome and expensive. Don't purchase these cheap over-priced products.

I love the Rains bags and have several (all different sizes and colors) that I bought for myself and my partner online. I was a little intimidated to go to the Soho storefront but am so happy I did. The staff is friendly, helpful, welcoming and chill which I greatly appreciate! Of course I bought another bag and tried on a few of the rainwear offerings. I plan to either go back and buy a rain jacket there or order it online if I run out of time this trip.
