Raise View

My son bought me and my husband a voucher for a stay at Raise View after reading such positive reviews - it didn't disappoint! A perfect location with amazing views, beautiful furnishings and Jacky is a wonderful host who cooked us a delicious breakfast. I would recommend a stay here to anyone and we hope to return again.

Beautiful B&B, lovely room and very comfortable bed. The breakfast is divine and Jacky is a superb host.

Jacky keeps a very pretty B&B in one of the loveliest villages in the Lakes. Beds comfortable, the bathroom was well set up and the breakfast yummy. We stayed in the Easedale room. The room and bathroom are not large but well appointed and absolutely fine for our 4 night visit - who needs a huge room anyway when you have the Lake District at your doorstep! Jacky is a mine of information on the Lakes. You want a scenic drive, a walk or tramp or info on local pubs/cafes/restaurants, just ask and Jacky will fill you in. Well worth it, thanks Jacky.

Amazing place! Better than many 5 star hotels in which we've stayed. The Rothay suite is very stylish with a walk-in shower (with comfortable monogrammed bath robes!), a really comfortable and huge king-sized bed, fabulous views, great coffee and tea making facilities in the room. The residents lounge was particularly comfortable, with a great range of maps and guidebooks to borrow. The breakfast cooked personally by Jacky was delicious, and she gave us some great tips for walks and restaurants. Car parking was easy (directly next to the house). Our only regret was not staying longer so we are very much looking forward to coming back.

Fantastic bed and breakfast. Luxurious bedroom with modern facilities. Fantastic location with breathtaking views. Excellent breakfast. Easy walk to village centre. Some good circular walks from the accomodation. We will definitely be back.

What a place!! Jacky went above and beyond to accommodate us and our guests for our wedding weekend. We had numerous phone calls/messages exchanged in the lead up to the day, to organise logistics of hair and make up suppliers to ensure our stay worked well given the numbers of people in rooms etc. Jacky even provided a bottle of bubbles for the bridal party to enjoy. We had full use of the house, and Jacky was so accommodating in letting us rearrange the guest lounge for hair, and also changing tables around in the dining room to ensure us and our families could all eat on one table. Not to mention the fact she happily printed off my husband's final speech. The B&B location is gorgeous, right in the heart of stunning Grasmere. The views from the rooms are just breathtaking and we cannot wait to return. Thank you Jacky so much for your kindness, patience and incredible hospitality. Beautiful B&B. Laura & Aaron Rose xx

We had an incredibly relaxing and delightful stay at Raise View. Jacky was wonderfully welcoming and helpful. We stayed in the Easedale Room, which looked out onto a field full of new lambs at play, with Helm’s Crag in the distance. Our room was bright, spotless and well appointed. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the en suite shower was luxurious, just what we needed after hiking all day. Jacky offers a large selection for the excellent fully cooked breakfast, made with fresh local produce ( the avocados on toast was delicious). When we arrived in the dining room for breakfast, our fresh fruit selection was on the table waiting for us. We had never visited the Lake District, and Raise View was simply the perfect introduction. Jacky couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating, the perfect host. We absolutely loved our two night stay, and plan to return for another. Most highly recommended!

Jacky is a wonderful friendly host and provides a fabulous breakfast. The location is excellent, just a short stroll into the village . It's also a great location for daily walks. The room was very clean and comfortable. No hesitation in recommending Raise view. Thank you Jacky.
