13 Things to Do and See in India in 2025

"I consider this large art-deco cinema in Jaipur the best place in the country to catch a Bollywood film—the pastel-colored interior, efficient suit-clad staff, spacious comfortable seats and the lively atmosphere of hundreds of excited local moviegoers make you feel like you're at a premiere; when the film ends you can walk two minutes to MI Road for Jaipuri lassi shops, and tickets generally range from 100–400 INR depending on seating." - Matthew Kepnes

Raj Mandir Cinema is not just a theatre — it’s an experience! Visiting this iconic place in Jaipur felt like stepping into a piece of cinema history. Known as one of the most beautiful movie theatres in India, Raj Mandir truly lives up to its reputation with its grand architecture, vintage charm, and royal ambience. The moment you see the exterior, you’re impressed by its unique art-deco style design and the giant illuminated façade. Once you step inside, it feels like entering a palace — the interiors are luxurious, with chandeliers, soft lighting, and pastel-colored walls. The auditorium itself is huge, and the seating arrangement is very comfortable with great visibility from every corner. The curved ceiling, mood lighting, and rich decor make the whole movie experience feel special and elegant. I watched a Bollywood movie here, and the energy of the crowd made it even better. Locals clap, cheer, and whistle during key moments, making it feel like a true celebration of cinema rather than just a screening. The sound and picture quality were excellent, and the staff was polite and well-organized. The theatre also maintains good hygiene and cleanliness despite heavy crowds. Outside, there are several food stalls and restaurants where you can grab snacks before or after the show. The ticket prices are reasonable considering the overall royal experience. Overall, Raj Mandir Cinema is a must-visit attraction in Jaipur — not just for movie lovers but for anyone who wants to feel the city’s cultural and cinematic spirit. Watching a film here is something you’ll remember long after your trip ends. Highly recommended! Just a thing to keep in mind: you might find it messy. Seats and floor

What an experience. Lovely theatre and huge screen. Massive crowd - around 4-5 times more than usual multiplex. The vibe and feel of the place is satisfactory. Watched SSKTK - last week. However., the snack options - the quality can be much better.

Ram Mandir Theatre stands out for its stunning architecture, blending tradition with elegance. However, the ticket prices are unreasonably high compared to other theatres. The ambience impresses, but the cost makes it hard to justify frequent visits despite its visual appeal.

I had gone there for 2 times. The interior is really very appreciative and the staff really provides evrything like where to go and where to sit and the sound system is really impressive. But one thing that i really love is the lightning and the interior design also the theatre is very well structured. Online Booking is also can be done. The facility for food and beverages is also . Overall the staff behaviour is good and every facility is there.

Raj Mandir Cinema in Jaipur is more than just a movie theatre—it’s an experience in itself. Often described as the “Pride of Jaipur,” this iconic cinema hall is renowned for its grand, opulent interiors and royal ambience. The architecture is a stunning blend of art deco and traditional Rajasthani design, making it feel more like a palace than a theatre. Watching a film here, especially a popular Bollywood release, is truly special—the energy of the crowd, the cheers, and the lively atmosphere add to the charm. The seating is comfortable, the sound quality excellent, and the overall ambience unmatched. Even if you’re not a movie enthusiast, a visit to Raj Mandir is worth it just to witness its majestic interiors and soak in a piece of Jaipur’s cultural heritage

Very Good interior. Look like kings palace. Screen and sound quality is also good. Staff behavior is very good. I send online payment of 700 rupees for ticket but staff says he did not receive any money. My payment status was success ful. He said wait for till 1 am if I receive then I will return you. He gave me his number. Second day on 15 Aug I called him then he transfered my money. Thanks for his good and kind behavior.

Interior are magnificent, lovely. It has close to 1000 seats. The sitting is uncomfortable though. The front seats are movable but cramped up and need to really adjust. Other seats are reclining sofa seats but felt uncomfortable. Food is available.

I always skipped watching movies in this cinema, as they usually showcase family dramas and all mushy movies. This time my friend forced me into it, watched Malik here, the theater is all upgraded in sound and video quality. Loved the traditional sitting arrangement of Dress Circle, Balcony, and Box. The price is on the costlier side, but maybe it is because it is more of a tourist destination than a cinema. They have a locker (cloakroom) facility, which is very helpful for people who are there for shopping.
