Heaven sent option right in front of the actual Western group of temples at Khajuraho. We toured the temples between 9:45-12:00 pm. The weather was pleasant enough, but of course sunny as hell. Imagine coming out of the sun into the AC and getting served chilled beer. An absolute treat. Good food options, very conveniently located, and tourist friendly. I asked them to refill my bottle and they did with chilled RO water. Served me RO water without any fuss.

While coming here, first of all you should know that Khajuraho is a village and food served in restaurants here is basic except hifi resorts n hotels. Don't compare with a tier 1 city. Keeping this in mind Raja cafe is the best cafe among the category. Service here is good. We were the first visitor and they switched on the AC without asking for. The paranthas were ok ok, with need of more stuffing. English breakfast was very good. Cold coffee was good n made of thick milk. It's just beside the union bank ATM, a few metres away from the exit gate of the temples. Highly recommend to come here.

After visiting the temples this is the perfect place to relax. The verandah has a wonderful view of the temples. Plenty of options for vegetarians. The chilli cauliflower and fries are delicious. The pizza is ok. India dishes are top quality.

Right opposite the temple complex with un unforgettable open and AC sitting under a big tree. Food is great (but priced a bit on the upper side).

After visiting the main temples in Khajuraho, we headed for brunch at Raja Cafe, which is perfectly located very close to the exit. We headed to the rooftop, which has a great view of the temples and is laden with trees. Since we visited in January, the weather was great, despite it being the afternoon. I first ordered a cold coffee, requesting less sugar and the coffee was amazing! My partner who ordered an Americano as usual tried my cold brew & decided to get one for himself at the end. He however forgot to tell them to tone down the sugar, so his was too sweet, like cold coffees usually are, so that's our fault. For starters we split a Caesar salad, which was deliciously fresh and very filling. Then we ordered a cheesy veg & chicken burger each. Both came with a generous portion of French fries and the burgers were the right kind of juicy. Tourists on a budget might find the Cafe on the pricey side. However, we found our food to be totally worth the bill.

Really enjoyed the food at this place. Although all of the foods were awesome, I really enjoyed and would highly recommend getting their burgers(veg/non both), their farmhouse pizza and chicken kathi roll and sizzlers. Their prices seem a little expensive but the fact that no tax is levied and portion sizes are big justify it. The view of khajuraho temples is amazing from the upper floor. The only negative was some flies that were constantly causing nuisance. I would recommend it to everyone looking for a place to eat near the temples.

Raja Cafe is one of the best restaurants I have been to. I really enjoyed the chilli toast, waffles, and vegetarian pizza. The service was excellent, and the staff was very welcoming. I also cherished the ambience and loved how they have beautifully amalgamated nature with the interior. The pink flowers glorify the place, and on top of that, you get an amazing view of the temples. I would love to visit this place again to enjoy the delicious food.

A traveler's oasis, Raja Cafe sits perfectly opposite the Western Group of Temples, offering a serene courtyard and rooftop terrace where the sunsets paint the temples in golden hues. The ambience, shaded by neem trees, is peaceful yet inviting—ideal for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. While service can occasionally slow during busy times, the combination of great food, classic hospitality, and unmatched views more than make up for it. In a town celebrated for its temples, Raja Cafe stands out not just for location, but for heart. A must-visit for anyone who wants their meal served with history, warmth, and a view to remember. 5⁄5 stars—from the heart, with a side of temple lights.
