Beautiful food and excellent service. We had pork cooked in wine, meatballs, stuffed zucchini flowers, fried mushrooms and salad- all delicious

We had the pleasure of trying this place over the course of three days, sampling different dishes from the menu. Each day topped the previous one, both in taste and experience. The food is a true culinary highlight – every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully prepared. It feels like a little Cretan oasis tucked away in an already charming neighborhood. Absolutely worth a visit! For groups of more than four people, I’d recommend making a reservation.

The Rakoumel offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, ideal for a nice meal with friends. There are usually several tables outside. If they are all occupied, it may be possible to set up a new table. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The menu is a mix of traditional Greek dishes with many vegan options such as fava, stuffed courgette flowers and fennel cake. This place is a wonder! Very friendly atmosphere is the center id Exarchia. The food is very tasty and local cheese was the best ! Everything is freshly made and we will definitely go back. Prices vary but its definitely less than any restaurant in the center. We had a very delicious dakos, the most tasty zucchini flowers stuffed with rice and the guys were so into the meat and the liver The sweet we got was a cheese pie with honey and cheese from Sfakia, I would die for that !!!! 🥰😍😍🥰

Amazing food and service! Was sitting outside and a bird pooped on me and they immediately put me at the best table and replaced all the food.

Best Greek salad I’ve ever eaten! It was a very generous portion, fresh, and so filling. I ordered the Cretan pasta afterwards and wow I didn’t even need to because the Greek salad was so delicious and filling, although I’m glad I did because the pasta was incredible too! Well-priced, fast and friendly service, great food.

Great local food. Great Vfm. The waiter recommended his favourite dishes which were very good. Would recommend it to anyone who just arrived at Athens and want to try basic local food.

Excellent meal. Very friendly people. My girlfriend didn't like what she ordered, but they were totally fine about it, and made her something else, which was delicious. I had the Akapi which I would definitely recommend. After the meal they gave us two shots of Raki. We'd never tasted it before, but it was excellent. We don't usually drink, but it's something we'll definitely look out for in the future.
