A Review of NOUN Hotel in Oklahoma

"The hotel's main dining room that adjoins the lobby and spills onto the sidewalk like a Parisian café, serving farm-to-table, seasonal American cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; positioned for both casual meals and more formal dining tied to the hotel’s design-forward vibe."

We stayed at the Noun Hotel and had dinner and lunch at the Rally, and will definitely be back! We got the salmon, burger and cheese board, as well as a sparkling wine and breakfast the next morning. The price was reasonable, the staff was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious!

I called ahead to make sure there would room for 2, since the other brunch restaurants were on an hour wait. We were seated, the restaurant wasn’t busy & looked fully staffed. We waited to be greeted for awhile and no one came, had several servers make eye contact and pass by to go take care of their own tables without a word. We ended up leaving. I understand sometimes things happen like this, but it was our first experience here and not a good one.

Had our first dining experience here and were very pleased. Food and decor were excellent. The meal was delicious and properly prepared, served appetizingly. We’re adding this to our fine dining rotation. Looking forward to returning with friends!

Stopped in for an early morning drink (bloody mary). My server/bartender was great. She was very friendly and accommodating. Good conversation with her. The restaurant/bar was very clean. Highly recommend. Loved the horns down! Boomer Sooner!!

My steak was cooked perfectly. Everything tasted amazing. Our wait staff was great! I ordered the Femme 75, milli martini, and filet mignon.

Only had a short time to eat because of my schedule and they were able to quickly get my food out to me while still making it fresh and to my order. The food was very good (I ordered the cheeseburger and fries)

Some of the best damn cocktails in town. Sazerac and espresso martini by Emiliana are amazing. Great atmosphere. Boomer!

I had such high expectations for this restaurant and I am sad to say our entire party of 7 was greatly disappointed. The hotel and rooms are gorgeous, and although the restaurant was very attractive there isn’t anything else positive I can say about it. Let’s start with being seated at what they said was the best table in the restaurant, the Chefs Table. This table is the closest to the kitchen and the constant server traffic was very unpleasant. There were plenty of other open tables we could’ve been seated at which would’ve been so much better. Next up is the service. It was horrible! The restaurant was severely understaffed and it wasn’t like it was busy. We had a 7pm reservation and I would say only about 60% occupied and this was on a Saturday night after graduation. Drinks took forever and so did the food, which couldn’t even come out together. Finally, the food quality. It was the biggest disappointment! The dip tasted like hamburger helper, I would rate the fish and chips at Long John Silvers of higher quality, my salad had 5 small chunks of chicken that tasted as if it came from a can, and we swear the steak was microwaved. On top of that they ran out of mashed potatoes and there was no trace of truffle on the truffle parmesan fries. We truly feel we could have experienced a truly superior experience if we went to Chilis and spent 50% less. It feels to me like management needs to wipe the slate and start over. Unfortunately we won’t know if they do because we do not plan on returning.

Yelp
Our server Brie was absolutely amazing and she took great care of us. The French Onion Soup & Shrimp cocktail was delicious. The brisket was OK but the scallops potatoes were awful. The cream corn was good and our son's chicken sandwich was awesome.

Yelp
I was looking for a nice, fine dining style place to take my wife out to dinner for her birthday... *on Christmas eve*! It was an 11th-hour decision so it had to be good, there had to be a reservation, and the timing and location (within 15 minutes of "Mooreman" (Moore-Norman borderlands in Oklahoma) had to be right to make it work. I found all that and plenty more in "The Noun Hotel" and its restaurant, "The Rally Kitchen + Bar". I had the impression that it might be somewhat upper-crust and that impression was spot-on. We arrived at the appointed time and were immediately seated and served impeccably by Brook, who should teach classes in how to be the best hostess in the world. The entire wait staff were on-point with friendly service. The decor, the facility, the demeanor of the staff; all of it was all one would expect from anyplace in the most well-to-do areas of OKC (or Dallas, or Houston or Kansas City), and then some...but Way Closer To Home. My wife had the Short Rib Pappardelle Pasta, and it was delectable... she informed me... there was none left of it for me to taste. Likewise devoured and decimated was the dish I chose, the Seared Salmon Filet, which came on a bed of quinoa, and accompanied by Broccolini spears. The sauce spread artistically around the plate was a sweet-hot combination that delighted the palate and added nicely to the mix. Did I mention that the staff were just the best?! They are. The Noun Hotel is a half-dozen blocks south of Main Street on University Boulevard, really close to the University of Oklahoma campus. For parents looking to take their OU students someplace nice for dinner, this is the place. All the stars. We'll see y'all there!

Yelp
Incredibly poorly managed! When we went to be seated the hostess told us the wait was as long as an hour and a half, and when we checked open table they had reservations open for within the next 15 minutes. after making that reservation we waited at the hostess stand for 30 minutes and no one would come to seat us. After accumulating a line we asked to speak to a manager and were informed that there wasn't even a manager on site. So disappointing!
