Ramakrishna Restaurant, located right outside the Vile Parle East railway station, is truly an iconic landmark that has been serving locals and visitors for many, many years. Known for its outstanding Punjabi, Chinese, and South Indian food, this place has maintained its charm and loyal customer base across generations. It remains crowded almost throughout the day, and waiting is very common, especially during peak hours. Parking can be a major challenge due to its prime location, so walking or public transport is usually the best option.
The restaurant offers two seating options—the ground floor has shed seating without air conditioning, while the first floor has an air-conditioned section for a more comfortable dining experience. One of the welcome recent additions to their menu is new South Indian varieties such as Bensa, which is absolutely delicious and worth trying. Their filter coffee is exceptional and has earned a strong fan following of its own.
Some of the other famous and timeless choices include tea and toast butter, puri bhaji, and masala dosa. The service is extremely fast and efficient, even during rush hours, which is impressive given the high footfall.
Overall, Ramakrishna continues to remain a classic and dependable restaurant, offering great taste, quick service, and a nostalgic experience in the heart of Vile Parle East.
