The toughest review is the one you write knowing the establishment tries, but it's not a 5* establishment. Everything on the surface appears great when you first walk into the lobby. They have lots of amenities but a few fall just short. The pool is just that, a pool... don't expect lounge chairs to sit poolside with your kids. It is as advertised, a pool. The room looked great on the surface but then you see how dated it is. The sink has rust spots. Nothing housekeeping can do about that, the sink needs to be replaced. The tub should be replaced. The grout needed some cleaning as mould shows in photos. I hate leaving a review like this because they do a lot of good thing but a lot fall just short of great. I wouldn't give them lower than 3.5 stars but if having to choose 3 or 4 star I will lean towards a 4 based on our overall experience.

The view out of the window was amazing. That’s on the plus side, but that was all. It must have been a great hotel when it was newly opened but this was a long time ago. Since then nothing was updated, the hotel is in a truly bad shape, parts of it are ruins. Service is in a similar condition. I asked at the breakfast bar if I could have warm instead of cold milk. Never got such an unequivocal answer: “No!”

We just needed one night in Belize City before our morning flight home and this place worked well. Close to the ferry docks and right on the water, we enjoyed our evening here. This place is like a mini city with movie theater, casino, restaurant, salon, etc. |The room was spacious and had everything we needed. But the big draw to me was the waterfront deck. We ate dinner in the balmy air watching the sunset. It didn't even seem like we were in the city, it was so quiet and peaceful. it was the perfect way to end our trip. |We felt very safe here and the staff was friendly. Although it's a bit past it's prime, it's a good option when staying in the city.

A Hotel stuck in the 80's which is kinda cool, except there not good service and expect a subpar room. I saw Housekeeping on Day 3. People are not real friendly since they don't want you there. (that is a long discussion about the British history). Yes they speak English but it doesnt' matter because they will only talk Criole around you anyway. It's there way of saying I don't like you. No activities at the hotel and the pool is a wasteland, maybe because it's off season but my gut tells me that tourists just don't wanna be here. A couple decent restaurants around but nothing else. Go to Midtown Restaurant only, it's the best. No beach. Take your chances walking around solo at night as a gringo. I hit the Publics grocery store couple times and was the only white guy in sight walking around. Theres no real nightlife, sporting events, or festival in belize city, mostly just filled with road bumps and unfriendly people. All the research and reviews seem to show Belize is developing and becoming popular which is why I went to check for myself. Maybe on the expensive islands or even Placencia or Corozal. But for the most part, and I drove the country side to Orange walk, Belmopan, and Boom - this country is not offering any development even remotely. You will wanna really think about it before travelling here.

Im giving 5 stars because there was a smart TV in the room, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The view of the ocean from the room was nice, the staff were all very friendly and accommodating, the casino is big with many machines and table games, the free breakfast buffet was good but could have more variety, taxis come every few minutes out front for easy transportation, the room had working air conditioning and hot water, and the price for the rooms are reasonable. Also they have a movie theatre. Yes the rooms are a little outdated, the tub/shower filled with water and took an hour to go down, if you hear a loud buzzing its probably the phone so just unplug it, there are not many dining options around except the hotel or the pizza place next door (which is great), if you want to walk to the water taxi its about 20 minutes, theres no beach or any swimming in the ocean but there is a nice big pool. Dont let the bad reviews ruin a good lodging option. I would stay here again.

Rooms outdated, High humidity, Tv local stations only available and resolution is attached on photos. No smart tv. Air conditioner is so noisy that’s wakes me up 5-7 times at night. No sound barrier in the rooms. You can hear next room. No privacy. No kettle or etc. only small bottle of water in 4 people staying rooms. Not enough shampoo and conditioners for 4 people. No security that’s is biggest issue. Casino brings lots of people from outside Parties 🎉 front of your room from outside residents until sunrise . Breakfast menu is basic and definitely needs more staff in restaurant. Lunch-dinner menu is same and decent (payable) but if someone wants to take your order. Lobby looks amazing but that’s the only location in hotel. Lots of maintenance work left unfinished inside the building everywhere. Definitely far away from technology and 3🌟 star. Front desk is brilliant but they can’t do so much because management is the main problem in hotel.

The room here was not the best, but it was okay enough. The theater and the service that the females there provide, sucks. One of the theater screen is dirty, it looked like someone tried to wipe it and left it smeary. The females serving you are very unfriendly, and the payment process is lengthy because they charge the movie and drinks separately, even though it's being charged on the same machine. They need a better system so they can separate the different types of charges internally. The popcorn did not have any salt. And they took forever to take off the light after the movie started, making it hard to see the screen.

Positive: "" Negative: Pretty sure our room had bed bugs. We let the staff know. Only offered to move our room, but we were checking out anyway. We were told reception would give us a call, never heard anything else.
