This place was honestly awful from the moment we walked in. The smell is disgusting, the corridors reek like an abandoned hospital. Instead of actually cleaning, it feels like they just spam Glen 20 everywhere, which somehow makes it worse. It’s a strong chemical stink trying to cover something very unclean. The front desk customer service was extremely rude and dismissive. No communication skills, just attitude. The hotel itself is old, stained, and depressing. Nothing feels fresh or well-maintained. There’s no pool, no nice facilities, nothing that makes you feel comfortable or relaxed. The beds were very uncomfortable, and to be honest, I didn’t feel clean or safe sleeping there I even worried there might be bed bugs based on how the room felt and looked. Overall, the place feels neglected, uncomfortable, and unpleasant. Definitely not worth the money and not somewhere I’d ever stay again. Avoid. At. All. Costs.

Stayed over the weekend with my kids. I was pretty disappointed all in all. For almost $500 a night I definitely expected more. No pool, no room service or anything available. The carpet smelt and was absolutely filthy, stains on the bedding, spare blanket unwashed. The tv wouldn't take a hdmi cord so we couldnt chromecast tv and was expected to pay $5 per movie if booked. Worst of all I didnt sleep for the whole 2 nights because I had my 5 year old with me and both the balcony door could be easily unlocked to go out and the front door can open from the inside to go out.. no chain.. no other way for a safety lock so even going to the bathroom worried me leaving her. I dont often get an opportunity to book a weekend away we wanted to relax and binge watch tv and couldnt even do that.. and to have spent that much money I will probably never return im so upset. I booked... then read the google reviews so rung with my concerns and was told not to worry all the carpets were replaced etc. They weren't and room smelt so stale and old. Felt the need to wash all our clothes when we got home. I also notice you simply just get a reply on here saying sorry and not actually a solution. Like I said this was meant to be a treat for myself and my kids and it ended up being far from. The doors were the worst when you spend that much money you shouldn't have to worry that much.. so upset

Excelente room with modern kitchen facilities and bathroom. Verily well located, at the main centre of Scarborough and at 2 minutes distance walk from the beach. It also has Harvest french Bakery / patisserie which is probable one of the i have been too!

The location was fantastic. The apartment shares floors with live in residence, you exit the Lift and were welcomed with an aromatic distinctive smell. The room was nice enough it was well lived in, with visible cracks in the paint and grubby marks on the wall. The guest services were fantastic. Besides it looking very lived in! It was great! On the expensive side for what you get.

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and to say the experience was disappointing would be an understatement. From the moment we arrived, we were met by an extremely rude front desk staff member, which immediately left a bad taste and set the tone for our stay. In hindsight, we wish we had checked the reviews before booking. As soon as we entered the hallways, we were hit with a strong musky smell mixed with harsh chemical fragrances that seemed to be used to mask the odour. Coming from a home that avoids fragrances and chemicals, this triggered allergies and asthma symptoms for us. Unfortunately, the smell continued into our room. The air conditioning was another major concern. Dust was visibly blowing from the unit, so we checked the filter and found it to be absolutely filthy, clearly not cleaned for months. We were also concerned about safety. The elevator felt very unreliable and had reportedly broken down recently. When we asked to use the stairs instead, we were told they are locked. When we asked what would happen in the event of a fire, we were told they would be unlocked — however, staff leave at 9pm, which raised serious safety concerns. Overall, this stay was upsetting and stressful, especially given it was meant to be a special anniversary trip. We would not recommend staying here.

Parking a vehicle higher than 2.2 metres was a real issue. The staff member wasn't very helpful as to were to go to park. Took 1 half hrs to find a park . We were given the wrong instructions for our room lift 1 level 3 room 09... We got stuck on level 3 at room 09 tried to ring the number supplied no one answered 🙃. We got in the elevator to see if anyone was at check in. We were told we were given the wrong instructions lift 3 level 1 rm 109 .. She wasn't really bothered by this said sorry but felt it was a inconvenience for her. We are also owners of whydum for 13yrs and found this accommodation to be not great . The morning staff were lovely. I felt it was a staff issue that made our stay uncomfortable from the start.

Room36, 2 bedroom business suite on level 5 had good views, balcony was great and big. Location was good, great walking distance to beach and local shops and restaurants. Peaceful and quiet during our stay. Night markets were on with food trucks so that was a bonus. Our only downfall was that the carpets were very soiled and in need of cleaning and the carpets outside room were dirty too.

If I could give zero stars I would. My partner and I stayed here for our two year anniversary. The first room we were placed in had a view of the apartments across the road and an air conditioning unit that made the most obnoxious noise. We had no other option but to ask to move rooms. In the second room, when it came to have a shower, the water was freezing cold. After calling reception, at 8:55pm, the lady said to “turn off the hot water system and wait 5 minutes.” After waiting, still no hot water, we tried to call her back but of course reception closed. (All part of her plan, if you ask me). We were forced to take a cold shower at night and in the morning in the middle of winter. First world problems I know, but when you pay over $200 for a night stay at a ‘nice’ hotel you would at least expect a hot shower. Don’t bother going here, waste of money!!
