Ramada Encore by Wyndham Dar Es Salaam

I have to issue a warning, they have a serious problem with the safes in the rooms. I will give them the benefit of a doubt, as you see. In my room the safe wasn't working, acting strange. So I went to reception to find help. A guy accompanied me and confirmed. But since the handyman for the safes was not on duty for another two days they told me to pack up my things to switch rooms. I had already ironed my meeting clothes but agreed and packed. The guy took me to TWO other rooms on a different floor that were unoccupied, but those safes weren't working either! That's three in total. One of the safes would accept some very limited number of combinations... Now, people, what do you think? Them making you waver responsibility because you use the safe for valuables? I dunno. |Also, the chair was broken, and there was only one towel in the bathroom (hard to wash your hair, and shower at the same time) but those are minor things in comparison.

The food was truly amazing. Coming back home and tasting the food here, I just wanted to go back to the hotel and have the delicious meals prepared by the chef. Need the brownie recipe🤤🤤||Overall experience was great. Staff were nice, welcoming and helpful

Excellent hospitality, great food. Simply a good place to relax and work from! The transfer from Airport to Hotel and back were seamless. Despite the shortness of the visit access to many facilities of interest like the Gymkhana Club Golf and many other places was a walking distance away!

Perfect location! I come and go for business and this is the best spot: walking distance to most of my meetings and the city's main conference center. Modern, clean, very nice rooftop bar with a great view. Food is very tasty and drinks are pretty cheap.

My spouse and I stayed here for 11 days on vacation. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially when my husband returned to the hotel unwell. The surroundings were well kept...I would suggest a better wifi/cable system and the room keys kept needing to be reset (minor) A tasty combination of cultural/continental/american breakfast was included daily. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and I must give all my gratitude to Chef Daniel and his staff for going all out, even baking us a personal cake and getting me the most beautiful bouquet of roses...all while preparing for a christmas event being held onsite. We enjoyed sitting up at the Skybar..it was mostly quiet but the views were nice. We did not utilize the gym, even though we did manage to locate it. Overall we had a good stay and we would stay there again....we spent most of our days on tour, but the hours spent in the hotel were satisfactory.

This is a clean, modern hotel in a good location. Everything in the room worked, the water was hot and the internet was good. Breakfast is fine but nothing special. Overall a good hotel for business. I only stayed for a couple of nights but it was a good base.

This hotel is frequented by many international consultants. I spent 3 weeks here and managed fine; the gym is very tiny; there is no room for yoga mats, and rooms have a bit of a musty smell... hard beds, aging infrastrucure,(pool not functional) |However, on the positive side, the hotel is quiet and the staff are very friendly and helpful; chef Dani cooks amazing food, the security staff is super attentive; centrally located with a nice rooftop bar and outside area overlooking the city (can order from the kitchen). Request a room on the water side.....|Overall, I'd suggest this hotel is a bit overpriced for its value (room and meals).

Very clean, great staff, but the real highlight is the food. There is a restaurant at the 6th floor and a bar at the 13th floor. Already tried the sliders, the lasagna, the samosas and the Nhama Choma (goat ribs). They are delicious and there is always a good ambience. You might make a couple of friends there.
