This hotel checks all of my important boxes when it comes to deciding on a hotel... Price, safe and convenient location, cleanliness, nice showers and comfortable beds.
Although the property is dated, and my spacious room resembled something from the 1990s, it was clean, had a nice 55" TV, a safe, an iron and ironing board, a small refrigerator, a/c that was relatively quiet, a very large desk and easy-to-access night stand lamps.
There is a pool, and it appears to be well maintained but no restaurant or cafe on the premises. However, right door is a Trader Joe's, and plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
The hotel sits on an historic site (same address, in fact) that was once the Tropicana Motel, which was later bought by the famous Dodgers pitcher Sandy Koufax in 1962. That motel was eventually demolished, and Ramada built this place in the late 80s. Not the same structure, of course, but still some cool history.
