"A beautiful hidden gem away from town. Odelay is our regular spot for coffee and food. Always fresh, consistent and served with a smile. Allpress coffee is delish. Definitely worth a stop before you hit the airport." - makebardo

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and profound distress regarding a severe security incident that occurred during our stay at your hotel on August 23, 2025. This matter remains unresolved despite my attempts to communicate with your staff, and the lack of follow-up from your end is both unacceptable and unprofessional.||On the evening of August 23, 2025, at approximately 9:00 PM, my husband and I were in our room when we suddenly heard the door being accessed. To our shock, a tall, man successfully used a key card to enter our room without any prior notice or consent. At the time, I was fully clothed, but my husband was only in his underwear, preparing to shower. The intruder—who claimed to be a guest himself—explained that the front desk had provided him with a key card to our room, which he even showed us as proof. He then left to confront the front desk, but unfortunately, no staff were available at that hour.||This incident left us feeling extremely vulnerable and unsafe for the entire night. We were unable to sleep, plagued by anxiety that someone else might enter our room at any moment. The thought of what could have happened had I been in a state of undress is deeply unsettling.||The following morning, I reported the incident to the front desk and emphasized that, as frequent travelers who have stayed at your chain’s hotels worldwide, we had never encountered such a reckless breach of security. I expressed my anger and frustration clearly, yet the staff merely apologized and proceeded to process my payment as if nothing had happened. I requested a formal explanation and provided my contact information and email address for follow-up. However, it has been nearly a month since the incident, and I have received no communication whatsoever from your team.||This is not only a gross failure of your duty to ensure guest safety but also a blatant disregard for customer dignity and peace of mind. As a global hotel chain, your brand promises certain standards of service and security, yet you have failed spectacularly on both fronts. The fact that such a incident could occur—and that it has been ignored thereafter—is appalling and reflects poorly on your organization’s values and commitment to guests.

We stayed here for our skiing trip. Near airport and many malls with plenty of eatery and supermarkets. Need to drive, and might not get a free parking spot. There is a paid lot nearby, so at least parking is not a problem. The rooms has laundry washing machine and dryer, so it is quite convenient for ski trip. Note that the front desk is only from 8am-8pm. Front desk is quite helpful when they are around.

It's a great location if you want to be near the mountains. But if you're looking to be near bars and pubs, then it's better to stay in town. Either way, it did the job. We had a lovely studio with a kitchenette, washing machine and a dryer which was very practical and saved us a lot of money. We also had nice mountains views from our studio window. Nice cafe on the ground floor of the hotel too.

We loved our stay at Ramada! The room was spacious and great for entertaining our friends. As travellers we were super happy to find out we had a washer/dryer and washing powder. The location isn’t ideal if you want to experience Queenstown however if you want to be right near the airport or the Remarkables it is a great place to stay!

This was my 1-year-old’s first trip, and I had specifically requested extra cleanliness for the room. Yet when we arrived, the entire corridor smelled of food, and the room itself was poorly ventilated and suffocating — completely unsuitable for a baby. We had no choice but to check out within 5 minutes of entering. To make matters worse, I had arranged a special surprise for our stay, but instead of discreetly setting it up, the front desk staff announced it at check-in, embarrassing the very guest it was meant for and ruining the moment before we even stepped into the room. The front desk displayed no empathy, no knowledge, and no problem-solving skills. She could not show the refund or cancellation policy in writing, offered no alternatives, and made no effort to accommodate us. For a hotel, this was shocking — the one person who represents the property to arriving guests was entirely unhelpful and untrained. I was told a manager would reach out the next day, but no one did. I had to follow up myself three days later. After explaining everything for 20 minutes, I was simply told to send an email. Still, there was no apology or acknowledgement of how distressing this experience was for our family. This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and I will never recommend this property to anyone.

Stayed here in April 2025 with a friend (mid 30's) for one night before flying to the North Island. It was perfect for us as we were half way done our trip so wanted to do laundry and picked the room that had in suite laundry. Beds were comfy. Shower was clean with good shower pressure. Pretty much a generic hotel, but was nice and good for what we needed it for. Good food/shopping within walking distance. Not overly close to the better part of town, but not far away.

Staying here was an eye-opening experience. I didn’t realize being a receptionist required absolutely no knowledge of hospitality — apparently, it’s just about standing behind a desk and looking confused. Every question I asked felt like I was solving a riddle no one else knew the answer to. Honestly, the hotel should be charging extra for the entertainment value of watching the staff try (and fail) to do their jobs!!

The hotel is very basic and reminded me of college dorms. But it's clean, warm and comfortable, and close to the airport for those departing early the next morning. Our family members stay here for a night before early flights. Conveniently located by the supermarket and a strip mall with shops, cafes and restaurants across the parking lot. There's also an eatery inside the hotel. Mountain views all around. The rooms even have a washer/dryer, a kitchenette and a small dining table which is very handy for longer stays.
