Ramada Suites by Wyndham Queenstown Remarkables Park

Kind staff, but there are so many maintenance/cleanliness failures that I find it very hard to believe this is a 4-star hotel. Perhaps it was in the 90s. There are very few electrical outlets and no USB ports. There is a handy washer and dryer and kitchenette which tells me they expect people to stay for a while, but then there are no shelves to put clothes on, and nowhere to put your toiletries either. Things in the room were broken or run down and there was a weird smell throughout--I think from the couches having seen much better days. They only clean your sheets/towels "every third day" so they say--It's day 6 and they still haven't done my room at ALL, never been in once, despite my specifically asking them to service the room twice now. The gym is the saddest hotel gym I've ever seen and very dirty (see picture: someone else left that message who knows how long ago?) There are signs asking people to wipe the machines down after use but no cleaning solution to do so, so I can only imagine how much bacteria is on those few machines. With an overhaul of the room furniture (add lamps with USB ports!) and much more care to cleaning, and attention to the gym, this could be a 3 star hotel. Right now I'd say it's a 2-star motel from the shady part of town. Location is good in the sense that if you're coming here for business, it's close to groceries and the airport. It's not easy to get into Qtown from here though.

Location was good, close to supermarkets and cafes. The mountain view from our room was spectacular and we also appreciated the washer/dryer facilities in the bathroom. However, the service from the receptionists could be improved as they were not very friendly. Moreover, the room had a distinct musty smell, perhaps from the carpet and couch.

Awesome location with stunning views and excellent rooms. Rooms: Everything's new, luxurious and practical! There is a full-sized washer and dryer (plus free washing liquid) in every room (tucked discreetly in the bathroom). The bathroom, shower, etc, are awesome, beds are great, etc. View: We had The Remarkables as our view. Can't get better than that! Location: We also loved the location as it was out of the hubbub of downtown Queenstown and very handy to all the necessary supermarkets, eateries, and the airport.

The room is clean and conveniently located. The facilities are excellent. The Ramada Remarkables offers a self-serviced accommodation, making it suitable for families wishing to prepare simple breakfasts or pack picnic lunches. The washer, dryer, and dishwasher are all in good working order.||I reserved two rooms a few months ago; however, they were allocated separately, not close to each other, which was not ideal.

Loved our stay. Room was so clean and comfortable. Check in and out were great. Massive bonus there was free parking underground and a cafe inside the hotel on the bottom floor. And washer and dryer in the room was so handy.

Fantastic location. Bus stop across the road to get into CBD. Room has everything for cooking. Remarkable Park has great food options like PJ Grill & Bar (good venison) and The Shelter (fish and chips). Reception staff are so helpful. On the ground floor there is an eatery by Frank which is good. At Remarkable Park, there is New World Supermarket, Pizza Hut, Unichem Pharmacy and many other shopping options.

Our stay at this property six months ago was extremely disappointing and remains unresolved. Upon arrival, the room was in an unacceptable and unhygienic condition. There was human waste left in the toilet, the room had clearly not been properly cleaned, and several advertised amenities were out of order. It was evident that the room had not been adequately inspected prior to being allocated to guests. This situation was both distressing and entirely inappropriate for a hotel of this standard. Rather than resolving the matter in a meaningful way, we were provided with dry-cleaning vouchers, which did not address the seriousness of the issue. Due to the condition of the room, we felt we had no reasonable option but to leave after one night and secure alternative accommodation at significant additional expense. At the time, we were assured that a refund would be processed. Six months have now passed, and despite numerous attempts to follow up, we have not received the promised refund. We have repeatedly been told that management would return our calls, however no call-backs have been made. The ongoing lack of communication and accountability has been extremely disappointing. Regrettably, this has been one of the poorest customer service experiences we have encountered. We hope this matter is finally addressed and that future guests do not experience similar treatment.

This stay was a complete disappointment from start to finish and should serve as a warning to future guests. Despite arriving at 4:30 PM, we were told our room was not ready. From that moment on, it became clear that organization and guest care are not priorities here. We specifically chose this accommodation outside the city center because Booking.com advertises free parking. Only upon arrival were we told that parking was “limited,” forcing us to pay for parking elsewhere. In hindsight, this is almost absurd, as we later discovered that we were able to park for free in the city itself every single time. We literally paid extra money to stay in a worse, less convenient location. The room itself was in unacceptable condition. Even basic items such as soap were not refilled. The dryer made an extremely loud, vibrating noise and was completely unusable. There was a constantly flashing light, a sink that barely drained, and kitchen equipment that was in a shocking state. The pans were extremely dirty—far beyond normal wear—and clearly not cleaned properly. After waiting an hour for replacements, the situation barely improved. With a tiny sink and a poorly functioning dishwasher, it was practically impossible to clean anything properly at all. The most disturbing issue was the air-conditioning and ventilation system, which was visibly filthy and full of dust. Dust was blown throughout the room, covering our bed, clean laundry, and personal belongings. This is not just poor maintenance—it raises serious hygiene concerns. As bad as these issues were, what truly made this stay unacceptable was how our complaints were handled. We reported problems repeatedly throughout our four-day stay, ranging from missing basic supplies to serious cleanliness issues. Each time, we were reassured that something would be done, yet nothing was actually resolved. We were simply kept waiting and led on. Even after our stay, the management has completely ignored us and never responded. The problems themselves were already unacceptable, but the way they were handled is frankly embarrassing and shows a shocking lack of professionalism and customer care. We would not stay here again under any circumstances and strongly advise others to look elsewhere.
