Why Grand Junction, CO, Should Be Your Next Weekend Getaway - AFAR

"A downtown brewery started by a local native that produces IPAs and flavored stouts and helped energize the nearby dining scene by inviting former protégés of a well-known local chef to operate a small gourmet kitchen beside the taps." - Kelly Bastone

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hidden gem alert! I stopped by Ramblebine Brewing on a recommendation from my Uber driver—and I’m so glad I did. This place has a fantastic selection of beers on tap, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The gentleman who served me was friendly, patient, and offered some great suggestions based on what I like. Excellent customer service really stood out here. Outside, there was a food truck serving sourdough pizza (I wish I remembered the name!)—and wow, it was incredible. The crust was perfectly crunchy, and the toppings were balanced just right. I had the Spicy [Something] pizza, and it paired flawlessly with my beer. If you’re in Grand Junction and looking for a place with great beer, tasty food, and genuinely kind service—Ramblebine is a must.

Tried the summer ale and the plum sour — both were excellent. The plum sour in particular was one of the best I’ve had. Service is order-at-the-bar and was efficient and friendly. Great service. The outdoor patio is a lovely place to sit with a nice chill atmosphere. The food truck that day only offered chicken nuggets, with no vegetarian options, though it appears the vendor rotates.

Google
Check this place out, you won't regret it. Great atmosphere, dog friendly, good variety of beer: all made in-house. The food truck is the same every day and serves amazing food right to your table. Burgers, vegan, zucchini fries, pulled pork, corn dogs. Live music some nights

Ramblebine Brewing is awesome! I enjoyed several of their beers, got some sweet merch to take home and had a top shelf quesadilla from El Compadre food truck. The Junctown Lager is surprisingly good and very drinkable, a nice light, easy going beer for a hot summer day. Of the two fruit beers, I preferred the blueberry over the strawberry. The God Hammer Red is a tasty beer, worth trying for those who like more flavor than a lager, but don't favor IPAs. Both Hazy IPAs were solid and delicious! I got a 4 pack of the Aqua Boogie Hazy IPA so I could enjoy more later. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The whole place was clean and welcoming. This place is definantly worth a stop if your in Grand Junction, I hope I get to come back soon! I loved it!!

Google
It's dog friendly inside and out, has delicious food, and great beer! I ordered the bacon burger and subbed in the chicken. It was the best sandwich I've had in quite some time. My hubby ordered the chicken bacon ranch diablo with loaded fries. The only note to be made (by him) is the Diablo addition wasn't very spicy. I think he was looking for more of a kick. We'd recommend this brewery to anyone looking for a good time!

Google
Great beer selection and most recent a very well done Octoberfest on tap. Both beer tenders were friendly and fast. Very clean and well laid out, we arrived as it opened and it was nice and quiet. Great spot if traveling I and out of Grand Junction

Drinks were good but the service and the experience we had was below par. We came at 9pm when they closed at 10pm. They did last call at 9:30pm. Promptly after, they started stacking chairs even though there were still a few tables left. They also stopped the music at the same time. At 10pm on the dot, we were told to leave even though we weren’t completely done with our drinks. Some people at the bar also had full beers and were told to “chug it or leave.” What was even worse was that the bartenders were talking quite loudly about an incident in the bathroom. I probably wouldn’t return.

Google
Best brewery I’ve been to in awhile! The service, menu, and quality of beer all seemed to reflect a true passion for what they do here. Inside was super comfortable and a great environment to hangout in. Great prices too! We tried many beers, but our favorites were the white stout, blueberry sour, and barrel-aged saison. If we lived in Grand Junction, we’d definitely be regulars. I hope we can come back soon!

Yelp
Such a fun brewery. I visited in their anniversary weekend. They had live bands and an alien and cowboys theme. They had just come out with their raspberry sour and it seemed to be the popular drink of the day. That's exactly what I got. It was refreshing. They do have food trucks on site. They have inside and outside seating. Seating can get full quickly, but you can share tables easily. They are dog friendly. I did see the dogs inside too. Parking is street parking. There's a parking lot across the street that's free on the weekends.

Yelp
A nice relaxing break from driving all day. The atmosphere is relaxing and the guys at the bar were really helpful with helping me find the beer to my tastes. They have a food truck out front. Pizza and garlic bread was really great.

Yelp
Excellent service and brews. My fav is the Norwegian Red Ale, Godhammer. No food, but fair to great food trucks on site. This is a great business run with pride. Awesome scene.

Yelp
Love love love Ramblebine! The two sisters that work there (Erin and Ryan I think) are so helpful, fast, kind and made me feel welcome bringing my kids in. They really provided a great energy to the place. Also the beer is amazing and I love that they have rotating food trucks. Can't recommend enough!

John S.

Yelp
Had a friend in from out of town. Ordered a beer. Was given a second beer by the bartender. Next 4 hours were blacked out. Please don't spike the beer.

Angela A.

Yelp
DOG FRIENDLY, and I mean seriously dog lovers! So refreshing to see true community dog lovers,,,, & their beer is great too

Yelp
Amazing staff, amazing beer, this is my go-to brewery in town. They also have a good customer loyalty program and it's pet and family friendly!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing! Lovely atmosphere, great beers, and friendly service. Wondering when we can go back again

Yelp
This is a super fun brewery! We stopped in here after hiking at Colorado National Monument and coming here was a great way to relax. They have flights and we got a variety of beer including stouts, IPAs, and sours and they were all really good. The taproom is spacious and has lots of TVs so it's a great place to watch some sports. They had a food truck outside when we visited and our burgers and fries (+sweet potato fries) were absolutely delicious. The staff were also really nice and it was a great stop overall. We will definitely be back on our next road trip!

Yelp
Good brews and great vibes. This place and another brewery down the road are two that were great hangs. Ramblebine, however, had football games going and a very gorgeous patio area in front and on the side. The staff and service was great and of course, knowledgeable of their brews. When I'm back in town, definitely coming back here for a good time.

Yelp
Great brewery in downtown Grand Junction. Always a good selection and also includes a few hard seltzers for those of us who don't like beer.
google avatar

Traci M.

Yelp
Great dog friendly place in Grand Junction. Demberries blueberry sour was so refreshing we took some to go. IPAs were also good. Check to see which food truck is there on way in. Great outdoor space and dogs welcome inside also.
google avatar

Alison H.

Yelp
Fun selection of beers! Was excited to see a white stout on the menu and plenty of sours. Far Out Fast Food was also very tasty and interesting, with Cherry Koolaid soaked pickles, frito pies and plenty delicious sandwiches. Would come back!

Yelp
They have a dog problem. I've been visiting Ramblebine since they opened (tough year to open but they seemed to have a good model and it seems to have worked well for them). Their beers are great and SmokenCEO serves up good food. They do, however, have a dog problem. Last visit was New Year's Eve 2023 at around 2:30 pm. There were several dogs inside and most were well behaved. The problem continued to get worse as the afternoon progressed and there were multiple customers with 2 or 3 dogs each. One guy actually let his dog on the table. That's when we left. The dogs stunk too. Staff did not do anything to address this - they may have after we left but I wasn't going to stick around anymore. If I want to drink beer at a kennel I can probably do that for free. Most of their staff is pretty nice but there was one dude who should not be in customer service as he was almost surly and, this, without saying a word.

Cameron M.

Yelp
Everything here was lovely! The food, the beer was sooooo good, and they had trivia night while we were there. We left so freaking contented.
google avatar

Laura B.

Yelp
Dog friendly. Good beer. Cheap truck food delivered to your table? A big as win in my books. Great for a rainy day
google avatar

Donna D.

Yelp
Get the Scoop There it is cause that beer is A-MAZING. Best stout I've had. We also had the Loki stout which was very good. The pretzel and fries from the food truck were tasty and I liked how easy it was to order from the table.

Alan P.

Yelp
Was a nice brewery, could have used more selection of beers. Meet the brewers who were very friendly and knowledgeable. Was a large seating area and had an outdoor patio which was nice.
google avatar

BananyaRamya R.

Yelp
The brew was really good and the live band was playing 80's hits Lots of my middle aged brethren dressed up in their best Madonna/Cyndi Lauper referential garb. Bless. Very bright and cheerful jn there. Oddly felt like a middle school dance...yes I was belting out Electric Avenue too...

Karen H.

Yelp
They had many beer options. My husband had 3 and said all were spectacular. I only wish they had a cider that wasn't a seltzer. The atmosphere was nice. We sat outside and enjoyed a nice evening.
google avatar

Gordon F.

Yelp
Awesome building, and delicious beers. We got to meet the head brewer and learn about some of the beers. Next time I visit Grand Junction I will definitely stop by here.

Yelp
We went thru GJ twice in the last week. Once on the way to Utah and again on way back. We tried to stop at Trail life twice and was super disappointed by both the atmosphere and the service. Both times we couldn't get a place to seat my family (for reasons I'll leave on a review for them) doesn't matter. So, we opted to try Ramblebine which we should have done from the start. The food truck was just okay. Nothing amazing, but after 6 hours in a car, it hit the spot. The beer was most def the highlight. The Hazy (Gangsta) is one of the best I've had in Co. Tye was super cool, and helpful. We will def stop thru again on our next adventure out west.

Jeff E.

Yelp
Gotta be the best in town. Toughest decision is what to enjoy.....tons of options. Love this place!

Gregory C.

Yelp
I love this place for its atmosphere and friendly staff. It's got a nice selection of beers and I can grab a bite to eat too.
google avatar

Yelp
This might just be my favorite brewery in all of town. Ramblewine has a great environment inside and it always has a lively energy to the place. You'll never find it empty even on a weekday evening. The have ample space indoors in addition to a huge patio. They have a great selection of different beers on draft to choose from. My go to is always the Mango Tango sour. Food truck is on site if you're hungry. Beertenders are very attentive and friendly. What more can you ask for in a brewery?
google avatar

Juliana L.

Yelp
If you like good beer. This is your sign. Go here. Seriously some good ol local beer. Atmosphere is awesome. We just happened across a local music night. Plenty of seating and when the weather is nice they have a great patio!
google avatar

Lou P.

Yelp
While I expect they would like more outside tables, Ramblebine is setup well for a beer or three during these Covid times. The tables outside are spaced well, and the staff seemed to take great care in ensuring adequate spacing. But...the beer! A broad selection is available. The IPA was so good, I couldn't have just one. The food truck nearby took awhile to generate our dinner, but our food was quite good, we'll prepared and generous portions. The fries are extra good. We aren't eating (or drinking) inside right now, but we'll come here for a beer as long as there is outside seating. So many great choices in GJ!

William H.

Yelp
It's a taproom, not a restaurant, very relaxed and roomy, although we were there on a Sunday night. Two loopholes when you aren't a restaurant - you can allow dogs, and you can allow food to be brought in, which is what the food truck does, they even have dog options on the menu. You can order via your phone, or you can order at the wagon and get beeped when it is done. I recommend the latter. Try this place!
google avatar

Matt N.

Yelp
Excellent beer (had hazy and west coast ipas, both good but hazy was better), and nice hang on a comfortable evening with very good live music (on the Saturday in April we were there, anyway).
google avatar

Emily H.

Yelp
Great dog friendly place! Dogs are allowed on patios and inside. Amazing beer, service, and food truck near parking.
google avatar

Ethan G.

Yelp
Stopped in for a late lunch on our way through the city and we all were very ecstatic to find the food and beer to be extremely tasty. Ordering from the table on our phone was different but not bad, and the convenience charge wasn't something I liked but the food and beer were delicious and we will definitely come back.
google avatar

Billy S.

Yelp
Best place to grab a beer. They have some damn good beers, bring back the Sabatash! They also have the BEST staff. Everyone is so nice, fun, and like their product.
google avatar

Carolina G.

Yelp
I love this place! I was visiting GJ and followed the sound of music coming from Ramblebine. The staff is was the BEST. The experinece for me was wonderful because dogs are allowed! I ordered spinach nachos from the food truck and they were great. I will go back the next time I visit Grand Junction,

Michael A.

Yelp
Awesome staff, great beer and the food truck rocks. Come grab a high top table and chill in a great space
google avatar

Mickey M.

Yelp
A must visit in the Grand Junction area if you like beer. Pros: -Been here a few times and have tried about 10 different beers. All are extremely solid. As they grow I'm sure they will only continue to get better -Flights and full pours available -Dog friendly on outside patio -Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating -Extremely Covid compliant (masks, reduced seating etc.) Cons - No food typically but permanent food truck is located outside -Only option for parking is metered but free hours available Don't get out to Grand Junction much but this will be a must visit for all future trips.

Wade C.

Yelp
Always friendly service and beers r so good and diverse...friendly atmosphere best part is dog friendly...and the food truck is great...always a great option highly recommend...

Matt C.

Yelp
Always a great evening at Ramblebine! Union of None on the patio and a Great beer! Smoken Ceo jalapeño poppers were awesome!
google avatar

Sheri D.

Yelp
Great place. Yummy beer! Staff is great. Food truck outside with delicious burgers. I'm gonna can up some Baltika and take home.
google avatar

B B.

Yelp
Amazing beer, awesome staff and great atmosphere! The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because the Smoke 'N' CEO food truck is not good. It is bringing down the quality and experience of a top notch brewery . The quality of the food is bad. Please bring in other food trucks to improve this experience. Thank you!

Heather G.

Yelp
Great brews and the space was very cool patios were fun too.... That's all I can say - I think you'd like it
google avatar

Megan M.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and great beer! I really enjoyed their sour beer. They have cute little hand sanitizers and social distancing at tables during covid.

Ashley E.

Yelp
I'm not a beer drinker, but I am a food eater. Hacksteak Station is the food truck next to this brewery and has the BEST nachos I've ever had- sorry Guy Fieri, your trash can nachos don't stand a chance against these bad boys. Homemade everything's was the star of the show for their nachos. No need to say more.
google avatar

Christina B.

Yelp
When it comes to locally made beer from the grand Valley, this is the best brewery. I literally went to every single one from fruita to Palisade. Second best is Palisade but there is only 1 or 2 other places to drink near that one. THIS brewery is downtown and had food and bars within walking distance. They have a wide selection of beers and they don't disappoint. I liked the sour.

Bill A.

Yelp
Great place with great vibe and large beer selection. BUT the food from the trailer was terrible and expensive. My grilled cheese sandwich had little cheese and our nachos had cheese from a high school hockey rink, canned jalapeños and rewarmed pulled pork. Go for the beer, not the food.
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
The beer and atmosphere was excellent. The brewer was there and talking to him was an added bonus. Staff is very knowledgeable about the beers. The hamburgers from the food truck were amazing. One of the best mushroom swiss burgers I have ever had! Will be back very soon. More beers to try!
google avatar

M Y.

Yelp
Having grown up in GJ, I have been anxious for the brewing scene to hit hard. This brewery truly impressed. Everything is good. Many are great. A few are outstanding. Great atmosphere with spacious outdoor and indoor seating. The staff is lovely and knowledgeable. This is a must visit for beer nerds when visiting downtown.

John D.

Yelp
I've been coming here for the better part of a year. At this point I'm only coming back for the logistics of the location of the place. The waitstaff all seem to be empty shells of people , and honestly it feels like a prerequisite to get a job here. The beer is just as good as you'll find at any subpar brewery in any town. Great location!

Laura J.

Yelp
Dear Ramblebine, we love you. Can you please increase your light beer production? It's clear from the kegs being tapped all the time that there's a demand for it. I'm getting too old for fancy IPAs and just want to pound a good German Pilsner. We'll come visit you more than once a week if you do. Please and thank you.
google avatar

Bailey B.

Yelp
Love this brewery! Good beer, friendly staff, awesome patio seating! The food truck here is fantastic too, Hacksteak Station. Nachos were delicious and had a nice kick. Highly recommend a stop!
