"From the lodge at Ramblewild's entrance, we were driven deep into the forest, then outfitted in helmets and harnesses like Wichita linemen, and led to a hemlock grove, where a vast complex of rope ladders, tunnels, ziplines, swinging wooden steps, and balancing wires has been constructed high in the trees." - Travel + Leisure Editors

First time visiting from Maryland. This place is amazing. Courses for my 10/11 year olds and then a more challenging for the 20 year old. The staffing is super friendly and attentive. They watch over, but don’t get involved unless your struggle.. there to help for sure. If we ever make back up this way… definitely will do again!!!

Our family loves Ramblewild. It was so much fun to bring our friends with us this last time. The best part is the individual attention and coaching we received from the staff, if we needed it, like I did :) And my kids were able to go ahead and move more quickly on the course with one guide while another guide stayed back with me at my pace. There are 8 long courses which are uniquely exciting & make my kids want to keep going back for more. Have been to a number of different ropes courses in NY & MA and Ramblewild is by far our favorite. Oh, and they make their own maple syrup which is delicious.

Highly recommend Base Camp experience !! I had 2x 6 year olds and an 8 year old with me for the adventure. I wasn’t able to find many reviews for the Base Camp so we stopped before making the reservation. There was no one using it when we stopped so they let us take a quick peek and check it out. All the staff, especially our main guide, Maddie were awesome with the kids. She explained everything so they understood and was excited, energetic and patient when needed. We had 1 that was scared of the zip line at the end of the course, Maddie was so patient and after a few attempts and a return to the training ground, she helped her overcome her fear and then couldn’t stop her from doing it again!! All the kids were sad when it was time to leave. It was challenging and exciting for both the kids and I. Highly recommend and can’t wait to get back to do it again!

I was a little leery about going because it is a little pricey. But after the experience we had yesterday it was totally worth it! The weather was going to be a bit unsettled so they did email and text me asking if we could come earlier so we would be able to experience the full time slot which I appreciated. We were able to make it a little earlier and the weather cooperated and the rain held off. It was just myself and my two kids ages 10 and 13. Our guide Walker was absolutely amazing!! He was so professional, incredibly patient and just amazing with my 10-year-old who had some fears going into a few of the obstacles. He was so encouraging! I can't say enough good things about him. I was able to get over some fears myself. The zip line over the ravine was a little scarier than I thought it would be but I was proud of the three of us and all that we were able to accomplish. I can't wait to come back and do the other courses. If you are on the fence about going or not, don't be. It's so worth it! We chose not to purchase the gloves which I think are not necessary to do the courses. We completed the lost in trees and riding high courses.

I convinced a group of (adult) friends to join me at Ramblewild for my birthday celebration, and it was a perfect day. All of us had a blast. The location is beautiful. The staff is very friendly and really made the day special for me. James (our guide) was the best. One of my friends had a little bit of a panic when we started due to a fear of heights, and James was able to chat her down off the ledge, quite literally. By the end, she was climbing the course and having a fun. Wonderful place. I highly recommend trying it at least once in your life.

Google
Why did i love this place? First: the courses. There are 8 courses in total: 2 yellow ("easy"), 2 green ("moderate"), 2 blue (difficult), 1 black (very difficult), 1 double black (apparently near impossible). The courses were quite challenging, but you can "choose your own adventure" and go as difficult as you want. It was so much fun. Second reason i loved this place is the people that work there. They were all super friendly and helpful. We were a group of 10, and some of the teens were having trouble in the air. The staff scrambled up to assist, but instead of just getting them down, they encouraged them the rest of the way, to keep going and not give up. Some of the kids I brought weren't sure they would go up at all, and instead spent 3 hours climbing and zipping. Definitely wear sturdy shoes & i recommend gloves (I brought cheap cotton gloves, but they sell nice ones there). Would i come here again? Absolutely.

Google
Ramblewild is a really fun, challenging experience for anyone! They have created a fantastic Covid-safe environment out of an already great park... We can't say enough about the entire experience! Thank you, Steve et al!!

Google
Amazing retreat venue to unplug from daily grind. Staff is friendly and passionate, warm. The obstacle courses force you to be centered and away from the hustle and bustle. Can't rave enough about Ramblewild and hope to come back for many years!

Yelp
Wow! I've never been to a course this amazing. We came early and were greeted warmly by the staff. They explained everything about the course so clearly. We had an incredible guide, she gave us so many tips and tricks along the way. We ended up doing 5 trails in total- the were so challenging and fun at the same time! Especially, the ascending oak trail was amazing. All the trails ended with a zipline- a very nice way to finish the trail. Each element was so sturdy- even with my fear of heights, I felt safe. The equipment was very secure and strong. This was the highlight of my day!

Yelp
Love this place!!! Probably the 4th time I've been there! Staff is always friendly, super helpful & accommodating. This year they have a guide climb with you whereas in previous years they were on the ground for help also. Both ways is totally fine, having one climb with you also has its advantages as well cuz they can help you with the obstacles with personal instructions and new this year they even take some pictures for us in the trees which was awesome especially if you don't have a GoPro or something yourself to take pictures with. I'm heading back with friends in August for some more fun!! They took safety precautions for COVID like masks, gloves, limited group size, etc. During these COVID times and all the restrictions in place some places are struggling. Just wanted to shout out & spread some positivity. I will definitely come back the next time I go to

Ashley A.

Yelp
Great place! The courses are well designed with a good variety of elements and challenge levels. Our guide was professional and friendly. Well worth the slightly higher price to book a private session -- it was just us and our guide in the grove, with the chipmunks and the creek nearby. They offer climbing gloves for $7/pair when you set out, I strongly recommend picking those up! My hands are not calloused (desk job) and thanks to those gloves I had no blisters or scrapes. It's nice to have insurance against a rope sliding through your hands or a rough plank, especially if you want to just go after the challenges with abandon. Ramblewild uses a "smart belay" harness system, which means you're always tethered to lines in the courses and there's no person belaying you. It's quick (and foolproof!) to switch your lines over as you go from obstacle to obstacle which keeps a nice flow with minimal fuss. We had a great day bounding through the trees and gliding over the ravine. Highly recommend!

Yelp
My husband & I are on vacation & rode past Ramblewild several times. I needed to check it out, so I stopped in. The young girl at desk was very helpful and courteous. She explained what they were all about. I have never gone to a aerial park. She showed me pictures and answered my questions. I reserved a spot for the next day. This isn't something my husband could do so I went alone. Kudos to the workers and other guests as they helped me along the courses. All the workers were very nice and seemed like they liked their job & were interested in the customers. Alex was our ring leader into the park, he explained everything to us and also was under the trails to help out if anyone needed guidance. I would also like to thank James, he went above his job to help me along. I wasn't with a group just keeping pace with a few people. I started with yellow and moved to green courses. After a few courses I needed to rest and separated from the people I started out with. I had so much fun I didn't want to end but didn't want to challenge myself to much (my arms were getting tired) I went on yellow again and there was James encouraging me along. You need good balance and some upper body strength. All courses were different with new challenges. I would recommend to go to all who want to have fun. I can't wait to come back with my son. I will be 64 next month and had the courage to go out alone and am sure glad I did. This park is exhilarating and awesome

Yelp
Fantastic course fantastic people Very well run and organized Kids loved it and had a ball We will definitely come back over and over

Gregg G.

Yelp
The double black diamond is no joke but I succeeded! Kids had a blast as well. The staff was friendly and very helpful when needed on the course. They definitely provided good tips on that DBD.

Yelp
Enjoyed a wonderful Sunday afternoon here today! It was a cold but beautifully sunny day and after orientation and practice, we were warmed up and ready to fly among the trees. There are 8 courses with varying levels of difficulty - yellow for beginner, green for intermediate, blue for advanced, and black for super advanced. Within our group of 5, we completed a yellow, 2 greens, a blue and a black course. All had different challenges and were super fun. After 3 hrs of climbing, we were exhilarated, happy and tired. What a great activity to do in the Berkshires. Would love to come back and challenge the blue and black courses!

Jen G.

Yelp
I swear I had a spiritual awakening as I hurled my body through black diamonds in the middle of nowhere. I didn't think an aerial ropes course would reignite my zest for life. I know this review sounds crazy but, if you felt how I did about this adventure park, you'd be stumbling over your words too. Thank you ramblewild!

Yelp
Ramblewild was an awesome date idea. We decided to take the trip up from Westchester County after seeing this place on one of our friends Facebook timelines. We were a little worried that it would be too kid focused but we couldn't have been more wrong! It was super easy to get to, and the staff upon check-in was great. The lodge was simple but very Eco-friendly and clean. You can't buy any food on site but they have swag to purchase and a water dispenser. We were able to sample maple syrup as we waited for our group to be ready to head up to the course. Our guide was very informative and patient during the brief training and getting our gear on. He shared some tips about the course, and the history of the area we were in and the facility. From there it was game time. We had a blast during our three hours on the course and the varying levels are great to accommodate all levels. We started on a green course a level II, and then jumped to a black diamond level IV. The black course was fairly physically demanding and after it we wanted to take on a lower level course. You can probably accomplish 3-4 courses during your allotted time which is definitely sufficient. Afterwords on of the staff members showed us a couple of neat little towns we could potentially grab a bite to eat at, we then explored North Adams and Williamstown which were great recommendations. We can't wait to go back with a group of our friends!

Rachel W.

Yelp
Wonderful place! Fun high ropes challenge course with many different levels of difficulty ranging from yellow, green, blue, black diamond, and double black diamond like on a ski mountain. We were given 3 and a half hours of time for the course and managed to get through 4 of the 8 courses. Each course had 12-15 elements. There were Knowledgeable and helpful staff stationed throughout the course who coached us through the elements when we needed help. Thank you to staff Rich and Mike who helped make our time in the trees that much more enjoyable! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
The afternoon/evening at Ramblewild was a hoot! Get ready for an adrenaline rush and to challenge your sense of balance and maybe some of your fears. The circuits have about 12 challenges each and they seem to include at least a couple of zip lines. Although some challenges may look almost the same, I don't think I saw two that were identical. I was amazed they came up with so many different challenges and I hardly experienced 25% of what they have to offer. While I'm no expert, the personal safety equipment and the materials used for the circuits look very safe and new. Nevertheless, I'd recommend a good warm up before starting with the most difficult circuits. Cramps are likely to occur otherwise. There were about 8 different circuits of increasing difficulty and I'd say that the average person can expect to complete 2 or 3. And honestly, even of you have extra time, by the time you do the third you will be ready for a break. It is not so much a question of strength/endurance as much as balance. And fear is what most likely will get your muscles tired. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and encouraging, although sometimes I wonder what they actually were thinking when they said things such as "you're doing great!" or "you guys are cruising!". But of course they could not say something like "my grandma climbs better than you" or "look at you big guy all panicky... I pity you!" I also wanted to mention that this business is taking good care of the land. Every thing looked clean and the trails well delimited to keep the forest in good shape. Just try this place!

Yelp
Great adventure park in the trees of Brodie Mountain in Lanesborough, MA. Beginner, intermediate and advanced courses (reminiscent of American Ninja Warrior). My husband and I are both in our sixties and we were able to do the beginner courses. He did one of the intermediate courses which included a rock wall which seemed about 20 feet up in the trees. Lots of exhilarating fun!

Christina W.

Yelp
Perfect mix of beginners courses for me and advanced courses for my cousin who is quite experienced. The staff was very friendly and very helpful.

Yelp
Great experience at Ramblewild. Opened not to long ago in Massachusetts. I thought it would be just zip-lining but it is much more. You have to think and challenge yourself to get through obstacle courses. Levels from Easy - green medium- blue black- hard. It is a great place to see nature when zip-lining. You get to go on obstacle courses where your in a kayak, skateboard, snowboard and so much more. The staff was excellent and very professional. They try to motivate you as you complete your obstacle course. This is definitely a place I would recommend going to! I had lots of fun and felt like I did a good work out. Be careful of your surroundings and try not to get hurt! Definitely wear gloves that they offer there. I was happy that I wore long sleeves and long sweatpants as it protected me from getting more bruises. It is quite hard finding this place but it is worth the three hour drive we had to do to get there.

Nancy H.

Yelp
Great high rope adventure experience with wonderful staff. Be ready for a workout. Skill levels from fairly easy to OMG

Rebeca V.

Yelp
Me And bf came And did a road trip upstate. We wanted to something fun and adventurous. We saw this on trip advisor and decided to give it a shot. What an amazing experience! All the instructors were very informative and helpful. I even got stuck in one of the blue trails at the leap of faith where u literally have to jump off w no resistance and I had to have them push me off. It was so scary! Also they have different courses w various difficulty levels: yellow, green, blue, black and double black. I did all the way to blue and couldn't finish the last blue because I wasn't tall enough. Make sure if you want to try the blacks they take about 45 mins and if the park is close to closing time they won't let you finish it. Make sure you get it in. Also, I didn't purchase the photo package but the phone was amazing. ( it died half way through:( but I was able to capture everything. Definitely coming back here to finish the black !!

Yelp
Went for aerial park today This place was so awesome I actually sent them this personal message: "Just wanted to reiterate just how awesome of a time my group and I had today. I was a part of the crew of 5 who decided to start off by crushing Ravine's Edge and then decided it was a good idea to challenge ourselves with the hardest course, the double black diamond Hemlock's Revenge. It definitely proved to be physically and mentally exhausting, especially with the rain but we loved it nonetheless. I wanted to say thank you to all the staff there today who were all extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Special shout outs to Josh and Rich who gave us extra positive encouragement throughout Hemlock's Revenge. Rich especially provided great support to myself and another friend by keeping our spirits high as he helped us belay down when we decided we could not finish the course. There's no doubt I will definitely be back and will be sure to bring more people to experience Ramblewild. Keep up the great work !" Some other great things: +large parking lot, easy to park +lodge has fireplace to keep cozy/warm if it's cold, super nice after it rained today +smart belay tech, so you go on your own (staff always around if you need help), and allows you to skip ahead or allow people to skip ahead during courses +ground practice with orientation to get accustomed to gear before you head out +multiple fun levels at your choosing (from easy to hard: yellow(2), green(2), blue (2), black (1), double black diamond (1) +water available there and on courses +friendly, supportive staff Seriously, check this place out !

Yelp
My daughter and I went mid-week recently and enjoyed the courses a lot. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, while we were there a summer camp group of 130 kids showed up and really slowed down the lines and access to the courses a lot. The lines were a mess and the staff did not really take charge of things to make sure ALL of their guests were taken care of. I was quite frustrated to have several teenagers cut in front of us in line and having to wait about 20 minutes in line at the hub to get onto a course... When you pay a ton for only 3 hours of access.

Jayme G.

Yelp
Ramblewild was amazing! I had a ton of fun here. Courses were challenging and even the easiest ones were a blast. Super friendly staff. Lodging was clean and cozy. 10 out of 10 would recommend this place. My one complaint was the photo package. On the website it was clear they didn't want you to bring cameras while on the course. Cameras and phones would definitely be cumbersome IMO. But once we got there experience says the camera policy is much more relaxed. My girlfiend and I payed for the camera package where there are automatic cameras set up around some of the courses that take pictures when they sense tags you wear around. These cameras did not work well. Overall there were about 3 obstacles where our picture was taken. One obstacle only got half my head. And two of them missed my girlfriend entirely. In summary, definitely recommend this place, but would not recommend the photo package.

Sam R.

Yelp
So Ramblewild is likely nowhere near the couch you are reading this from. It's not a short or convenient drive away either. However, if you are looking for an awesome place to go for a ropes course, this is the place. The set-up is great. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The course difficulty options range from plenty easy for younger kids through a difficulty that will test anybody. The pricing is right on par with any of the other options you are likely looking at. If you can get past the amount of driving to get there (but realistically, you're probably reading this from the Boston metro area, and every place you're looking at is two and a half hours away, so what's the difference) this place is a gem.

Kathy A.

Yelp
It was on the bucket list...well the zip lining, but what we got from Rambewild was so much more. Thank you Christian for being our guide and making our experience great. But everyone from the greeters when we got there to all the people that helped to make our experience so much fun! I did blow out my knee landing on one of the zips but....at least I can say it was from doing something so much fun! and some scary stuff...

Lisa B.

Yelp
Amazing weekend! Something for all levels. We had a group from age 11 to adults and we all had a blast. Staff was very fun and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!

Colleen F.

Yelp
Wow! What a memorable and enjoyable experience. I had planned this trip for a friend's bachelorette party and Ramblewild did not disappoint. From the thorough and timely responses provided by Sarah Blatt to the energetic, enthusiastic and expert instruction from the park staff, I cannot say enough good things about our group's experience at the park. The courses provide an escalating level of challenge and difficulty that allow all individuals and groups an opportunity to participate. We were encouraged and supported by park staff throughout the entire experience! Thank you, Ramblewild, for creating a fun and unique experience.

Runner G.

Yelp
Fun course. Great staff. Nice part of town and beautiful country. Somewhat too challenging. My daughter and I have climbed various local ropes courses (Catamount, New Haven and Kittery) and can climb every level those facilities offer. But we got stumped at the double black level here at Ramblewild. Still had a great time and got a good workout. I like that they limit how many can climb per hour. Ramblewild is a little more expensive than other courses. Catamount will remain my favorite for price and difficulty. I like the idea that I can climb all courses offered. This means I get more climbing for my money and less frustration and time spent having to be rescued.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Best ropes course ever. Gorgeous setting. Cool and humid. So much fun for beginners to experts. Do not miss.

Emily M.

Yelp
Seriously the most fun I have ever had. I was worried about the 2 hour drive and wasn't sure if it would be worth it since in all we would spend 4 hours driving. I will make that drive over and over to go back. It was an awesome challenge physically and mentally. There was I smile on my face for days after going to ramblewild. Everyone should experience this!!!

Zachary C.

Yelp
Went up to Ramblewild on Columbus Day weekend and had absolute blast. It was a fun and unique experience I will definitely be recommending to everyone. The staff was kind, easy to talk to and we're genuinely helpful. The courses themselves were fun, and challenging for all experience levels. I was especially pleased that all the equipment was very secure and never once did I feel unsafe. My only wish was that they had some freestanding zip lines so that if you're tired from the courses, you could still have something to do! Keep up the great work!

JM S.

Yelp
Excellent from start to finish..easy reservation process and we had a great time. Eight different courses at 4 different levels. We did level 1 and level 2 and wished we had attempted level 3. Staff is informative and helpful. This is a beautiful place and great for team building, family or just friends on an adventure, which is what we were. Just bring yourself ..they provide the helmets, harnesses and fun and adventure. You need to be 55" in height minimum and cannot be over 265 lbs weight. I have done other ropes/adventure courses. I would rate this one 10 out of 10. Its challenging but you take your time and the price is excellent for 2.5 hours of fun. They provide water and there are porta bathrooms. The log cabin lodge has some merchandise, we all bought t shirts and the driver bought an RW sticker for her jeep. They train you and demo on the course before you venture out. It's a blast!

Elaine M.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about our experience at Ramblewild this past weekend. My friends and I drove from Boston and found the park exhilarating, fun, beautiful, and challenging in the best way possible. The staff were unbelievably helpful and energetic, helping us when needed and even guiding us through the most difficult course (Thanks Matt!). Overall, we had a great day at Ramblewild, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an adventurous and challenging day trip.

Ashly S.

Yelp
Went for my birthday and had an unbelievable time. The staff was beyond helpful and friendly. No matter where we were on the course, we had a staff member hanging out with us from the ground, offering helpful suggestions and tips if we wanted them for how to navigate the obstacles. The manager also offered to drive us back to our car in their ATV so we could get our camera to take pictures when we were done. He told us all about the property on the drive down and back. I had a blast and would go back for sure! Well worth the ticket price.

Frank M.

Yelp
Took a group of summer staff from our business to Ramblewild - 20 somethings that like the outdoors and physical challenge. We had a great experience at Ramblewild. Friendly, helpful staff. Very easy instructions and amazingly simple but effective safety equipment. Many different challenges at varying levels. Spent about three hours in the trees and tried every course. This adventure park is amazing - intense challenge for the aggressive and athletic while also offering milder courses for beginners and those out of their normal comfort zone. Everyone loved it. Will highly recommend to our guests and friends. Makes a great day in the Berkshires - combine with another outdoor adventure in the Berkshires like whitewater rafting for a thrilling weekend.
