Rambutan Townsville

Reception (Elena) is of positive disposition, friendly and happy to answer questions. Service gladly brought my bag to my room as I needed to be elsewhere. A convenient location close to amenities/stores with a nice breeze along with outdoor setting.

Very nice room with good layout and spacious enough. Near pool and restaurant, I'm glad it was a quiet Monday night and not a weekend otherwise noise could have been an issue. Good service and tasty food. The place had a nice atmosphere, great to meet friends or family and enjoy the ambience.

Nice, comfortable stay here in Townsville. Car parking round the back and lift access to the hotel. Rooms around a pool area and loungers and booths. Restaurant serves delicious food with various offers most nights. There is a separate bar on the ground level .

Had the filo night dinner with my kids. Reception downstair was very welcoming. Staff upstairs are always helpful. We enjoyed our dinner. My daughter commented “this is great dinner”. I never heard her say that even on a fine dining set. Foods are great servings are huge. They will fill the middle section first so no one is left alone and segregated. At first I did not like it as I am one of that introvert person, however as my family came by. I kinda actually liked the atmosphere and as how the staff thought about the positioning well. The guy server has always been great. Unsure if he’s the main bartender or the manager. I hope he gets paid good. Great job to everyone.

Rambutan resort Townsville is located in the heart of City Center. It's close to everything, Museum, Ferry station, restaurants. It has a swimming pool as well. A self-patking is free of charge and easy to get to your room with a lift. The reception staff are amazing, I forgot to take my bag when I checked out, and they ringed me for asking how to deal with and they helped me to post my bag to home as I require. It's a really pleasant hotel to lodge with during a visit to Townsville and make our travelling unforgettable.

This property is crazy good value for a 5-star hotel and it definitely delivers on that claim. Plentiful amenities and charming rooms. Cafe on the ground floor and restaurant located on top, all the food I had was tasty, staff are great. The only downside I could think of is probably noise as the pool, rooftop restaurant and rooms are on the same level. My room's door was steps away from the restaurant, however when I was there it was only open in the evening until about 10pm so it wasn't a huge issue. Ideal location if you are planning to visit Magnetic Island or transiting though the Breakwater Terminal. Definitely consider staying here! Absolute gem of a place.

Pros ----- This accommodation is located in the heart of Townsville City Centre. It's strategically positioned closer proximity to public amenities in Townsville. It has a sizable pool, Pizza Maker facility, and a restaurant. A self-patking is available free of charge. Cons: I found the attitude of the reception staff to be a bit cold. Overall, it's a pleasant hotel to lodge with during a visit to Townsville.

Good views at the rooftop dining. Reasonably priced specials available. Car parking is out of the way and difficult for access. Can't access the lift as it's locked out at 10pm. You have to call a number if you wish to leave early.

Quite posh for a hostel! Great shower, WiFi included and in the heart of the party district. More expensive than other hostels by $29 Australia but well worth it.

Food that looked like it was from a frozen package. Nice surroundings but not worth eating here.
