Rambutan Resort Townsville

Thank you to the wonderful staff who looked after myself and my daughter during our stay. The wonderful welcome to the clean rooms, good food and the checkout. A big shout out especially to Ryan who treated us like were his own family. A great asset to your team! Thank you to management also for running a great place especially with all the families visiting for the QLD Athletics meet!

I stayed here last night. Q, the receptionist, welcomed my partner and me with such great hospitality. The housekeeper, Chica, cleaned the room perfectly, and we were very satisfied with our stay. We will definitely come back again.

A great value Sunday lunch. Great friendly service, ice cold beers, and home made pizza that neats my efforts hands down. Definitely going back with a bigger group whe I'm back in the NY

A bit disappointed with room which behind the pool and had very little daylight even with 2 windows was quite dark. Very convenient for the pool. Pizza was nice. Underground carpark difficult to find and the car exhaust scraped on the very steep drop into car park. Staff did not acknowledge us on arrival. Noisy drunk guests woke us at 2.30am banging doors etc. Convenient for town. lovely town with nice parks and marina. Beautiful colonial buildings

I was well impressed. I stopped in for a quick bite in between meetings. I’m not from the area. Great atmosphere. Super friendly staff and their lunch special $15 rump steak was great. Better than the $40 dollar steak I had the night before somewhere else. I’ll be back next time I’m in Townsville guys.

Our stay was average overall. The beds were uncomfortable, as the springs could be felt while sleeping. Check-in took longer than expected, which was frustrating after a four-hour drive. Breakfast was adequate, but the selection was limited. On Wednesday night, the only dinner option available was pizza. As I am pregnant, this was not suitable, and we were required to dine elsewhere. Additionally, drinks could not be ordered on their own and required a food purchase, which was unexpected. The air-conditioning outlets were located in the parking area, making it uncomfortably hot when walking to and from the car. The main positive aspect of our stay was the pool, which the children enjoyed and found very tiring, allowing us to relax.

Well up and heading north again… have to put it out there we stayed at the Rambutan in Townsville City … it says an oasis in the city…and you know what it is… I could just spend a holiday there and never walk out on the street. Very reasonable in price, 4 STAR…Ryan was just wonderful, 1st floor, Reception and Bar, 2nd floor under cover car park, 3rd floor, where all the fun is.. accommodation, restaurant &pool, views of the harbour and Townsville city….$15 dollar rump steaks on Mondays menu…barbecue chicken wing to die for….i am very impressed…I would recommend it as a go to motel…10 out of 10 for us…. Thanks to Ryan and the staff you will see us again…very impressed…beautiful…took lots of photos….very impressed..

We had a great stay here. The pool area is great and the location is very central to the Strand, CBD, ferry and beach. There are bars/nightclubs in the area so you need to be mindful of the noise on Friday and Saturday nights. The staff were great, especially Olivia on reception and the lovely Filipino manager. Thank you for your hospitality!

Quite posh for a hostel! Great shower, WiFi included and in the heart of the party district. More expensive than other hostels by $29 Australia but well worth it.

Food that looked like it was from a frozen package. Nice surroundings but not worth eating here.
