Having just returned from a week in Malta at the Ramla Bay Resort, here are a few things to consider.||To be fair to the Resort, they did say on the details, the place is not finished. We were taken aback when we first arrived at our hotel to find over 50% was still a building site!||However, we were there now, so let's explore what happened. The first nice thing which happened was we got an upgrade from a standard twin. We had a balcony, which had a partial sea view.||Next, the hotel itself. Inside the hotel, you are not disturbed by the building work outside. The room was very spacious, a/c, queen size beds, multiple lighting options and a fridge freezer and a microwave, (I think these must have been self catering apartments at some time previous). ||The hotel interior is clean and tidy with a few evening meal options, (buffet or Mediterranean food restaurant). There's a well stocked bar too on site. There's a shop, where some items, such as sun cream and sweets and inflatables can be purchased. ||We chose a b&b tariff and were satisfied with the food available at breakfast, (a nice selection of fresh fruit, yoghurts, various teas and coffee, cheeses and sweet things.||There's a private beach accessible too.||The staff are very friendly and if you need assistance, reception are quick to answer and resolve your issue.||There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a spa, where you can indulge in health treatments for an extra cost if you want.||For me personally, the winning feature, however, were the sunsets. Ramla Bay resort, unlike their neighbouring hotel, has an idyllic setting. ||So, in conclusion, be aware, you are going to be surrounded by a building site, the food is good, the accommodation nice, service very good. Would we go back? Yes.
