Check in was quick and easy. The room was a tiny bit small but for a short stay it was perfect. Loved all of the quirky details. The bed frame was a little squeaky but the bed itself was the most comfortable we had on our entire roadtrip. There was some street noise which died down in time for bed. A cozy little spot with great food and Joshua Tree Visitors Center right across the street. Definitely will be back!

Don’t Judge a Book by Its Cover – This Place is a Hidden Gem! Calling this place a gem would be an understatement—it’s a diamond mine! From the moment I made a late reservation around 10 PM, one of the owners made the process seamless. When I asked, “Where’s the music coming from?” he warmly invited me to their onsite eatery, “Kitchen Desert.” Open until 11 PM on a weekday, the team there was crafting cocktails I’d expect to find in a trendy downtown LA bar. I went back for breakfast the next morning and… WOW! ABSOLUTELY THE BEST ESPRESSO IVE EVER HAD- I have decades of experience in the coffee bizz and a black coffee drinker and I couldn’t be more satisfied. The property boasts modern, updated rooms and an inviting onsite eatery. The attention to detail is impressive—handmade soaps in the bathrooms, espresso martinis on the menu, and a focus on thoughtful hospitality that exceeded every expectation. The room it self quaint, safe, modern, some rooms are double the size of the others… The bed was incredibly cozy, outfitted with well-known brands. I laid down and immediately fell asleep like a baby. And let me tell you about the morning shower experience! Room 8 offers not only a generous shower head but also a breathtaking sunrise view right from the shower window—a moment I’ll never forget. The pool was clean and used as refreshing cold plunge. Balina, the housekeeper, was so friendly and accommodating, even allowing us a late checkout without hesitation. One of the owners also shared exciting plans for the property’s future, and I’m genuinely eager to see this transformation unfold. This isn’t just a motel—it’s becoming a beacon of hospitality in the high desert, and I can’t wait to return. Cheers and thank you for an unforgettable stay!

They canceled my confirmed booking I had with them on Friday at 2 am and was left scrambling looking for a hotel to stay in while he gaslight me by saying it had been called which is BS.I asked him for proof of the cancelation and all he sent me was a previous email on 9/27 asking to concel or confirm booking. I have all the RECEIPTS so they can't lie to ppl. They could have had the decency to call, email or text me but they didn't. Even crappy hotels call you to find out what time you will be arriving, but not them. See all the attached pictures proving my accurate statements. You can see the note at the bottom explaining I would be arriving later. Completely ruined our family weekend.

Another shocking place having grown up in 29 and seeing the changes . Booked 2 nights . It's near 4 corners downtown by the old Andreas restaurant. If you like hanging out, it's directly across from "The Out There Bar". Also walking distance to Kitchen In the Desert. You check in via airbnb app and given a code to access room. Rooms were clean , cozy, and nicely setup. Loved the shower! There is also a pool available. Someone asked if we needed our room cleaned, and we declined. Would book Here again.

Its just 5 mints from the visitor center so it was perfect for us to go in the park at night for the night sky. Its a renovated motel but the rooms are amazing.

Google
was a bit hesitant when first booking this place since it’s a renovated motel, but the owners did a wonderful job! super clean, great area near Joshua Tree national park and with many food options around. the bedding is super comfortable. the rooms are a bit small but did the trick for the one night we stayed.

Hello , im the guest that lost the Watch in the room. I think it's cheeky to charge 100 dollars for sending the watch. And that's only because we weren't completely satisfied and gave an honest review. fact is the pool wasn't clean and just old. Nobody at the reception, the WiFi only worked when we had almost left. The room was really small and it wasn't that clean. For these reasons the rating was justified with 4 stars. But what is completely wrong is to charge us 100 dollars based on the review, that's a rip off!!! The watch fits in a padded envelope and shipping is less than $100 with any provider in the USA. I would like to ask the management for a Statement! It is just not correct to run a Business like this. No answer til this day. Awoid to go there.

Amazing spot for our first time visiting Joshua tree while on a roadtrip. The rooms were tastefully decorated and also had what I believe to be the most comfortable bed and softest bedding ever. The A/C was great and so was the wifi! The kitchen in the desert that is attached to the property was amazing as well, and we went back twice in our two days in 29 Palms. HAVE THE KEY LIME PIE! The location is amazing and super close to Joshua Tree NP, Starbucks, McDonald’s and fuel! We were sad to leave but can’t wait to come back!

Yelp
This is an Airbnb motel that obviously has a history operating under other names. I walked around and found the old signs and there is old furniture and fixtures that were upcycled or repurposed, which is commendable. This isn't a bad place to sleep when visiting Joshua Tree, because it's a good value for the price. I would definitely recommend it if you have your dog with you. Just keep in mind that it's not as upscale as the pictures make it seem.

Yelp
We recently decided, last minute, to attend a friend's Halloween party in 29 Palms. Being a designer, I suggested my friend and I stay at the lovely Ramsey 29, appreciating the renovation. Room number 9 suited us perfectly and we LOVED our time there. Beautiful property with thoughtful touches and great interior design. Host was superb and sweet. Love KID and look forward to staying there again!

Yelp
Typically I would never stay in a motel, but let me tell you, I would personally stay at Ramsey 29 again and again. Location was great to really anywhere; park entrance, proximity to JT, restaurants and shops. While I did not use any of the outdoor facilities (pool, corn hole or fire pit) my room was great. Great water temp and pressure, spotless room, incredible linens, comfortable mattress (I suffer with chronic back pain) and great overall use of space with lots of attention to detail. And parking was included in the nightly rate. I booked through Airbnb.

Yelp
This hotel is so cute and affordable! All the places I've stayed when visiting Joshua Tree were either really cheap and dumpy or nice but super expensive. This place is a great price and so spacious, clean and super close to Joshua Tree National Park. I highly recommend this adorable boutique motel.

Yelp
Great, clean rooms. Great location. Near bars and food and the park entrance. FYI some rooms don't have a coffee maker and there is no coffee available in the lobby. There is a Starbucks close by.

Yelp
Wow this place is magical! Such a beautiful and incredibly creative layout - you can tell so much thought has gone into each detail - down to the soap! So clean, super comfy beds, The restaurant Kitchen in the Desert was absolutely delicious! Can't wait to come back for longer.

Yelp
This is the cutest place ever. not only priced WELL the softest sheets, attention to detail on design. I love it! the hangers have cute messages I swear this will be my spot every time we come. Great location for Joshua Tree goers....

Yelp
Amazing hotel and restaurant just steps from the National Park. Great owner and chef. A must if you are visiting Joshua Tree.

Yelp
Stayed here a couple months ago for a last minute trip. I liked the restaurant, but the hotel itself is a little sketchy. The room felt uncomfortable and bare. Not great for a long time stay. I did think it was weird when you turn on the light in the bathroom, there's a red light that comes on in the air vent of the ceiling. Hope that wasn't a camera but this didn't sit well with me. Also it looks like this place deleted their old Yelp and created a new one because I remember seeing more reviews plus some bad ones when I stayed here a a couple months ago. I probably won't be staying here again. Also because Armie Hammer helped out with this place...yuck

Yelp
Cute, trendy room off of the highway. If you're looking for a clean place to rest your head this is perfect. The linens and bathroom were clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The tv mount was VERY loose and the luggage rack was in pieces. There is a fire pit as well as Cornhole. Unfortunately, I planned to stay here because of the amenities that were boasted. The Kitchen of the Desert isn't onsite like described. Although it is a VERY short walk I was under the impression it was part of the motel, based on their AirBnB listing. It being over 110 degrees, is a reason I booked a place with a pool. The photos of the pool on their page are faaaaar from what the pool actually is. The pool was full of debris and bugs, which I skimmed out myself. But I just couldn't get over the amount of algae. Hopefully they find a pool service soon so people can actually enjoy the pool this summer.

Yelp
Wow! I'm so glad I found this place after my Airbnb fell through! It's entirely true to its description in that it's a "boutique motel." The owner has curated a simple, creative, and memorable experience through each small touch of design and vintage decor! I appreciated the simplicity and high quality- prefect for how I travel and what I needed this trip for my desert adventure. It's extremely close to Joshua Tree National Park's North entrance and close proximity to other gems I found for eating and drink. Particularly close is their "Kitchen in the Desert," and 2 min down the road is "Mara," which I also enjoyed! A must-stay boutique Inn that's comfortable, clean, and memorable!

Yelp
It's a great, clean, and trendy place to spend a night or two! Walk to things nearby is a bonus (Starbucks, tacos, bar, or KitchenintheDesert!)
