Rancho Santana

Our room at the inn was incredible. Very nice and clean, great view. Fernando and Miguel at the stables were so good and patient. The concierge was top notch. Very good and well trained Everyone that worked at RS was very well trained. The grounds were very well maintained

Love love love everything about this place! As a first time in Nicaragua, this was a perfect Nicaragua Lite experience for myself, my sister & our elderly father. I’m definitely returning to visit Ometepe & the corn islands after this experience. I love how environmentally minded this place is, everything is fresh & local. The pools are lovely & the pools bar offers excellent cocktails & classic pool side fair. The beaches are rustic and gorgeous. I didn’t understand how big the ranch is prior to arrival, and, they provided easy transportation & maps & directions. The concierge was especially accommodating to our last minute whims. We took the full day Granada tour with Luis, and it was AWESOME. Luis was friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable & spoke incredibly English.

An amazing sunset horseback ride along some beautiful woodsy trails. We trotted through a cool beachside neighborhood up to an incredible view point at the top of the hill for a panorama of the gorgous beach below. Then out to the beach for a stunning sunset!!. Januar was such a charming and knowledgeable guide.|Thanks for a beautiful memory!

We had a wonderful time visiting Rancho Santana. Everybody who works there is attentive, friendly, and a pleasure. |We went on the beach tour, the howler monkey tour, and the release of the turtles. We also ate at the various restaurants on the ranch. The food was terrific!|There are a few people who made this trip extra special: |Alfonso and Eddie on the beach tour, Jason and his partner on the monkey tour, Geisson Ruiz and Alfonso on the turtle release tour. And the servers in the restaurant also should be mentioned: Norlan in the Finca restaurant and David Garcia at La Boquita! And finally Mario who works reception. All of these people made our trip that much better. A huge thank you for a great trip.

Our guides, Januar and Lorenzo, were terrific. Friendly and informative. Januar made sure our trip was exactly what we wanted. We enjoyed it so much we returned the next day and were happy to know that Januar was again our guide, this time with Miguel. Great experience!

What an incredible experience! We had the most wonderful time at Rancho Santana. The property is incredibly beautiful with gorgeous beaches and uncomparable sunsets. We went horseback riding with Januar and Miguel and they were excellent guides. The horses were extremely well trained and cared for. We did the Pioneer trail which was a great way to explore, as well as the sunset ride. We were extremely fortunate to see a baby turtle release at sunset while visiting Playa Escondido! It was incredible. We also loved surfing with Elise and Minor - they successfully taught our three kids to surf! Can’t wait to return to gorgeous Rancho Santana.

Stables-|My mother and I are equestrians, and this place is top notch for a riding vacation. The horses are cared for and trained impeccably. The trainers and English-speaking guides were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Whether you've never ridden before or are a top level dressage rider, they have a horse for you! They even have two ponies for children to ride.||Beaches-|The beaches are heaven on earth. There is surfing, views, sand, miles of walking, and tide pools. We only made it to three out of the five beaches, and that was plenty to satisfy us!||Spa-|I had my first experience with hot and cold pools prior to my massages. We did scalp message, reflexology, hot stones, and deep tissue. I highly recommend David, but all of the therapists are wonderful. Massage is done in slatted-wall rooms on the hillside in the trees. It's like being in a serene tree house.

We did a lot of activities and the place was beautiful! Excellent experience with Eddy monkey scouting, Carr teaching yoga, massages were wonderful. We also did horseback riding and the horses were expertly trained and seemed happy and beautifully taken care of. Our surf instructors were phenomenal. We surfed with Gabriel, Elize, Minor and Lenin, we would not have changed a thing. Special shout out to Lenin who brought a ton of local knowledge, expertise, and struck a balance of keeping us safe, pushing us to improve, and making sure we had a great time.
