I rarely do google reviews but we had SUCH an incredible stay at the ranch a few weeks back and truly cannot wait to be back. The staff is what put it over the top, shout out to Ronny, Karina (kids club), Keysar, Eddy (excursions), the whole concierge staff (Yoselin), and honestly every other person who works there. We stayed in a residence with an amazing ocean view. The home was in perfect condition with everything you need for an amazing stay. Absolute paradise. See you again this coming winter. Do not hesitate to book. Travelled with 2 kids under 7 and they had a blast.

Wonderful place to stay-the support staff were fabultastic and while we can’t name them all, Yoseline made our days smooth and Christopher made our meals delightful! The food was prepared so caringly and deliciously and they perfectly accommodated my gluten free requirements. The chefs, the cleaners, the gardeners, the drivers (thanks Nestor!) the pool guys, the hiking guides, and the security for the sea turtle hatchings was just so amazing! A expertly run rancho!

A million stars!! Our stay at Rancho Santana was above & beyond in every possible way — and it was even more special because we were there on our honeymoon! From the moment we arrived, the entire staff around the ranch made us feel so welcomed — everyone is genuinely warm, friendly, and attentive. The hospitality here is truly something magical. The ranch itself is incredibly gorgeous. The views, the landscape, the beaches, the spa, the restaurants, the rooms — every corner feels so peaceful and thoughtfully designed. It truly feels like paradise and was the perfect setting to celebrate our honeymoon! Our king room at The Inn was basically a large one-bedroom suite, overlooking the ocean! Magnificent. The concierge team was phenomenal. Mario, Luis, and Fernanda went majorly out of their way to make sure every detail of our stay was seamless. From planning activities to answering every single question with a smile, they truly made our trip effortless & relaxing. Dining was extraordinary across the board! Every meal was so fresh and there was incredible variety at the multiple restaurants on the property. At La Finca y El Mar restaurant, Janely took amazing care of us and made every meal feel special. At La Boquita restaurant, David Garcia provided outstanding service — attentive, professional, and so personable. Every server, host & bartender we encountered went out of their way to deliver impeccable service. Just wow. The sunset horseback riding was a major highlight! A huge thank you to Januar & Miguel for making it such a fun and memorable experience. They were knowledgeable, kind, and made us feel completely comfortable. The spa is stunning and was just as exceptional as everything else! We got most relaxing couple’s massage. The spa area is in a treehouse overlooking a forest and it literally feels like you’re in Bali. And we can’t forget the amazing drivers — Eliezer, Gustavo (who took us on the monkey tour), and Manuel —were always so friendly, punctual, kind, and so accommodating. Getting around the ranch & to the airport was easy and enjoyable thanks to them. Every single staff member we met made this honeymoon truly unforgettable. We have stayed at a lot of incredible resorts around the world, and I have to say, this is the best of the best. If you are on the fence about booking this trip, JUST DO IT. Rancho Santana is a TRUE GEM, and we cannot wait to go back!

If you’re a dog lover, please think twice before visiting Rancho Santana. Our experience was disappointing from the very beginning. We called three times before arriving, and each time we were told, “Yes, we already notified them,” yet when we got there, we were left waiting with no explanation. The lack of communication and organization set the tone. We came to enjoy lunch with our dog, who is calm and affectionate. However, the attitude at the entrance made us feel unwelcome. The guard said, “Let’s see if they accept you here,” in a dismissive way, as if bringing our dog was a problem. He also approached her abruptly, which scared her — she’s shy when strangers come at her suddenly. A place that claims to be pet-friendly should show it through respectful treatment, not just policies on paper. As a dog lover, I look for places where my dog is treated with kindness and consideration. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. I hope they improve the way they treat both their guests and the pets that are part of our families.

We spent five unforgettable nights at Rancho Santana, and it truly is paradise. We stayed at the Inn in a beachfront room, and waking up each morning to the sound of the waves and sweeping ocean views felt almost unreal.||Everything about this place is special from the breathtaking, untouched setting to the thoughtfully curated experiences. We loved the wide range of activities, especially the yoga and spa offerings, which were both restorative and beautifully integrated into the natural surroundings. The sunset horseback ride along the coast was one of the most magical experiences we’ve ever had.||The farm-to-table food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. Every meal felt nourishing and intentional. Most of all, the staff truly set Rancho Santana apart. Every single person we encountered was genuinely kind, warm, and attentive, making us feel not just welcomed, but deeply cared for.||Rancho Santana is the rare place that feels both luxurious and soulful. We left feeling relaxed, inspired, and already dreaming of our return.

I had a great time in Rancho Santana. I went with my entire extended family over the holidays, and the staff were all very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend surfing, and the ocean was very clean and warm. I was blown away the natural beauty of the resort, from the river and beach to the lush forests. I also loved the free breakfast, and all of the food was delicious. The bathrooms and bedrooms were very clean and had lots of natural light. I was also there over New Year's Eve, and the part was spectacular. There were fireworks, and an insane amount of amazing food. There was also a great DJ, who also gave me a tour of my condo when I first arrived. However, the highlight of my trip was the hospitality and kindness of the staff, specifically Eddy. He was always very kind, and guided my monkey tour and my family's campfire. He was always very funny and we even got some selfies together. He was also very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife, and knew the answer to almost all of my questions. In recap, I had a wonderful time at the resort, and the wonderful families and staff made it a truly unforgettable experience. ||One comment -- there were a lot of bees by the flowering bushes near the main pool, you might want to check that out.

Rancho Santana and all their staff and restaurants exceeded our expectations by far! We were so pleasantly surprised daily by our entire experience here. The food was so fresh and so delicious every meal ; staff were genuinely warm and friendly and helpful ; the decor through the resort and in our rooms was so lovely and the linens and towels were luxurious. Can’t recommend them enough ! So great you just want to tell all your friends! Plus beaches out your back door and lovely pools with pool side service ; we didn’t want to leave. The 2 hour drive is long , but worth it !

This resort is exceptional in every aspect. The quality is truly 100%—from the extremely clean facilities to the peaceful, discreet atmosphere surrounded by beautiful nature. The food is fresh and farm-sourced, prepared with great care and authenticity, which makes every meal a pleasure. The staff deserve special recognition: highly cultured, intelligent, and professional, with immediate and clear communication at all times. Their behavior is respectful, discreet, and genuinely attentive, creating a feeling of comfort and trust throughout the stay. The resort is quiet and serene, perfect for relaxation and reconnecting with nature. If you choose to explore the local area by rental car or the resort shuttle, you will notice that the surrounding neighborhood is modest and reflects local poverty. However, the people are remarkably friendly, honest, and welcoming, which adds an authentic and human dimension to the experience. Overall, this resort offers a rare combination of luxury, tranquility, authenticity, and outstanding service. Highly recommended.
