"Ask co-founders Kevin McElroy, Bradley Kipp, and Bob Thiele what their building is made out of, and they'll tell you it's "basically a tin shed." The space is completely open inside—the brewery is exposed to the taproom, so you can see exactly where the beer is made—and the team is happy to give tours to let visitors into their process. This kind of touch is the reason why the small-batch neighborhood brewery draws the folks it does—a crowd that cares about the people of its community. That makes sense considering the brewery's expressed purpose is to make an impact in Charlottesville, well, that and make some good beer. If they're on tap, try the Hazy Pale Ale, Mosiac or the Not Yours Maibock, both medal winners at the Virginia Craft Brewer's Cup." - Laura Ratliff, Kristen Schott

01.28.25 The beginning of January we had our Wedding Welcoming Party at Random Row in lieu of a traditional Rehearsal Dinner. The outcome was exactly what we were hoping for. It was a laid back and fun environment where 80 of our guests were able to have great pizza and refreshments in a way that brought all of the different families and friend groups together. Cori and her staff from the planning stages until the end of the night couldn’t have been easier to work with and we had great reviews from everyone that attended. They all commented that it was exactly what they wanted and many of the people that were there that had more traditional Rehearsal Dinners for their weddings wished they had done something like what we did. Random Row allowed us to rent out the entire facility for 4-hours at a cost that was very affordable. There were some negotiations during the planning stages regarding costs and operations and even the few places that Random Row was not able to have much wiggle room there was always an attitude of “lets try to figure this out and make it happen.” With that said, they were amenable to most of our requests and budget limits. Without commenting too much on pricing and expectations because those conversations are always unique to each situation, Random Row afforded us 4-private hours and we paid for 2-hours of pizza, salad, olives, and an open bar with our guests opening tabs for the rest of the night. The cost was affordable for a middle-class couple and the experience was worth every penny. We live around the corner from Random Row and have been visiting them for years for a quick pizza and a beer. It has been one of our go-to neighborhood spots since we moved to Charlottesville. Luckily, no matter where we go, Random Row will be part of our wedding memories. Thanks again to Cori, her staff, and all of the folks that made that evening special. Joel Frank and Marie Thomas

Great beers, amazing events, and even better people. If you're looking for a good quality local brew, you've come to the right place. They have such a welcoming vibe, perfect place to grab a beer after work or hang out with friends. Don't know what to do for the weekend? Check out their events calender, they always have something really fun and unique planned. Highly recommend coming here!

Our first time here but definitely not our last. The atmosphere here is laid back and comfortable. The bartender was friendly and very helpful, (my wife couldn't decide what beer to try but he gave her a couple of samples until she found one she really liked, the Grapefruit Mosaic. I had a St. Love Abbey Ale and a Scouser Red Ale. Both tasty, loved the red ale. For lunch we had the Smoked Mozzarella & Sausage Pizza. If you like laid back breweries with good beer and good food, you will like Random Row.

Such a great brewery! The atmosphere, beers, and pizza are all solid. Heads-up about the weekly deals, too (picture included) - with Tuesday, 50% off growlers and pizzas, being one of my favorites. Within walking distance of a lot of Charlottesville's locations, Downtown Mall, University area, etc. Definitely recommend!

Went here for trivia night. It was really fun. There are heaters outside so we sat outside. The beer is delicious. I loved everything I got. Also the inside vibes of the place are great too. The tap room is cool. We got a spicy pepper pizza and it was super spicy. I loved it, but it's not for the faint of heart. Great brewery overall.

Super fun and relaxed vibe with great beer, good pizza, and indoor and outdoor seating. Pet friendly and a great place to bring the kids. Parking can be a little tricky if it’s a busy weekend but not impossible. The Mosaic hazy ipa is my favorite.
