Very pretty hostel, nice amenities, rooms are spacious but not much space to secure your stuff. It was also very humid since it’s pretty much an inside/outside concept. There is a good restaurant in the hostel but it is pretty priceyyy. Good location.

I am new to hostels and as a senior traveller was a bit unsure. I loved my experience. My single room was comfortable, cozy, very clean, and had nice decorative touches. My room could be noisy, but I liked the music and slept well. The rooftop terrace was great for hanging out. The Bread Factory restaurant was excellent for breakfast. The staff was super friendly, as were the guests. It was a different vibe from a hotel, and great for a single traveller. The pizza restaurant next door is fantastic.

Very nice hotel, great cafe downstairs. We had a private room but was very loud so if you go here for a quiet time than this is not your hostel. Room was nice and hot water!

We stayed here for 3 nights in a private room. The room was so spacious, clean, tidy, beautiful view of the park and had everything you needed. All the staff were so friendly and speak really good English. We took part in the salsa class and the yoga class and everyone was so kind and knowledgeable! We also had breakfast there in the morning which was reasonably priced and tasty. The only con I would say is they are very particular with staining of the towels, stating fines of 40,000 COP if you get makeup on them. Which is completely reasonable, however, in my opinion, should therefore provide some sort of flannel. I had my own so wasn’t a problem for me personally, but can see for other travellers how it might be. The security and safety is the best we’ve seen and felt Colombia. The security guards avidly checking for the wrist bands and generally having a presence around the entrance to the hostel. Location is excellent for us, easy access to metro station and lovely atmosphere to stroll around El Poblado. The Italian restaurant next door was sensational! A must-do when you’re here.

We stayed at Rango Hostel for three nights, and we can fully recommend it! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful at all times, especially Santiago and Julian. They offer plenty of free activities to help you meet and connect with fellow travelers. We highly recommend the bachata class and the beer tasting. The facilities and common areas were clean and well-maintained. The hostel has great amenities and an excellent location near Provenza. Did I mention that all the staff were really friendly? It’s a must-visit in Medellín!

Irish abroad! Recently stayed here for a number of nights. Pros: Private room was top class. Spacious room with a nice view and a great shower. 24 hour reception. Very handy. Laundry service that had my clothes back after a few hours in the same day - great job. Has a nice restaurant & bakery on the ground floor. There is a pizza place next door which is unbelievable. Location is decent. In the El Poblado region although I think this region is overblown - it felt like I was on one of those strips in one of those really touristy areas in other cities. Pool on top floor is more of a jacuzzi but nice to cool down. Cons: Not sure if just quite season but the hostel was virtually empty when we were there. Loads of the rooms were empty that we could see. This lead to a slightly strange atmosphere. The hostel were running some activities in the evenings but there was only ever 2/3 people max on these. One thing I want to mention was the salsa class they ran. The salsa teacher was great and she was really patient and seriously good at dancing. However, the lessons were held on the terrace where there is a bar. The bar was kept open during the lesson and this is a very small area. It basically resulted in men at the bar laughing and joking at the dancing and they were also non stop staring at the woman instructor along with 2 of the girls in the class. It was extremely uncomfortable - if you are running an activity like this, I suggest you close off the terrace for that hour for salsa only. Would make it better for everyone involved. 2 of the men staring were also employees of the hostel which made it worse in my opinion as they should have known that it was unsettling.

One of our fave hostels in Colombia. We got a private room which was very pleasant- clean, nice shower with good running water, fan. Staff are very friendly, helpful, and communicate well in English. Their welcome drinks are also quite good quality I thought and they seem to have some nice free events. Not noisy when we stayed either. Also the security in this place is very solid (e.g 24hr clerk only letting in people staying at the hostel after hours). Highly recommend!

One of the best place I have stayed so far in South America, cheap room, comfy bed and very modern bathrooms. The view on the rooftop is stunning and super nice to chill by the pool during the day or at night to glaze at the city lights Close to everything like shops, pharmacy anf ATM and the Main Street for food and drinks The staff was above lovely.Special mention to Arturo who saved my shoes and Luisa , Santiago , Sebastian , Julian and Wilson at the reception team for all the advises and cool tips. See you soon !
