Rango Boutique Hostel

Okay this place was actually perfect. First off, it’s in a very great, safe neighborhood (el Poblado) with bars and restaurants within walking distance (not to mention Provenza is like a 10 min walk). The rooms were REALLY cute (I shared a double private). The shower in our room had one of those amazing rain water falls and I loved the sink’s “industrial look.” Good water pressure and hot water! The rest of the hostel was so clean and meticulous and I loved that the had coffee and tea and water stations and the upstairs movie night was really relaxing. The only thing I wish is that there was AC- lol. But the fans were sufficient! Big shout out to Octavio as well (super engaging, funny and shared me his Mate upon arrival). Overall, would definitely return! Also it’s great that they have 24 hour WhatsApp support

When I booked the place, I had high hopes. While my experience wasn’t bad, it wasn’t as good as I had hoped for it to be. First, I did not like the location of the hostel. It was on a street that gets quite late in the night, and this part of el pablado also did not feel as nice as other parts. The room wasn’t anything special, even though I paid approximately $87 per night. I had higher expectations. Service and staff was good. There are better areas to live in Medellín. Avoid it.

Great hostel and would recommend based on location & the private room I had. I won’t lie, on arrival I was worried about the noise as it’s right by an open restaurant/bar. But once I closed the bathroom door and put ear plugs in, it was fine. Comfortable bed, great shower (hot water) and clean (except for the rough dirty tissue I found under the sheets on the last night). Loved that filtered water is available on each floor. Marking down one star though as one member of staff I came across, didn’t seem very friendly and thought it was ok to hang out on the roof top playing his phone/ipad out loud and generally made it a strange vibe. I thought he was a guest and was surprised when I realised he was staff. BUT everyone else was really lovely and helpful.

Rude service when we arrived. Santiago (Feb 21 in the afternoon) did not finish our check in before trying to sell tours to other clients. He showed a pretty girl around but no information for us (like wifi or the amenities). The guy at the reception the next day (Feb 22) was much nicer. I would not recommend it if you would like some rest. We had a private room with bathroom on the 3rd floor. It was very noisy until past midnight and during the whole morning. Finally, the hostel is not in a very nice part of Poblado.

+ This hostel is very nice!!! The people here are so kind and help you with everything! I loved it!!! The hostel is also super clean and you get a free towel, laundry was done very well as well. The bakery is amazing with a good breakfast and coffee and again super friendly people! Gracias 🙏🏻 - It was a bit noisy while I was there bc my room was next to the bar area and it was Helloween, also the area was a bit creepy for me bc there were many homeless in the street and made me feel a bit unsafe as a woman alone.

Just the best Hostel you can imagine. Its super clean, everyday they offer free classes and activities (yoga, workout, salsa etc.). Its quiet at night. People working here are so friendly and so attentitive. Shout out to Octavo! Downstairs they have a beautiful bakery with delicious bread and perfect coffee. When in Medellin, we will 100% come back to Rango! No doubt.

A beautiful stay at this Hostel! I was traveling with another woman and it was incredibly safe and clean. Everyone was kind and they have events every night. The rooftop is gorgeous and has covered seating areas. Definitely a great stay!

The staff is extremly nice, the hostel has great places to relax or work, a really nice rooftop and they offer many activities throughout the whole week. I had my Spanish school just around the corner and went to the city center with the metro (15' walk) so I liked the surrounding.
