Excellent stop, full of character and good food. If you're around, passing through, I'd recommend you visit. The Comte cheese and ham toastie was excellent. With a really nice range of cakes, drinks and even merchandise, this tearoom makes it mark. I'm giving 5 stars because it is everything I hoped for and more from a tearoom in a remote train station.

Such a lovely location for anything, but a station with an amazing tearoom is certainly a decent choice. The road literally ends at the Rannoch Station, and there is a short walk on a footbridge over one of the lines to make it to the station platform, where the famous tearoom resides. If you haven't booked you may have to wait a short while, for it is rightly busy, but waiting here is no hardship. The service and food are of an excellent quality with both a potato and leek soup and Bailey's chocolate cake tried. We would heartily recommend a visit!

Nicely decorated cafe in the old train station building. There is even a honesty room for drinks/snacks/sandwiches for the tables in the station. Cakes on display look good. Hot dog was tasty, strawberry shortcake was ok. Cream scone was ok, have had worse and slightly better ones. If up that way it is definitely worth a visit, even just to see the wee mice figures that are for sale which are hand made.

Wonderful place. Well worth a visit. We were a very large group and they went over and above to accommodate and feed us all. Great soup and sandwich combo and really good scones too.

What an amazing experience that you don’t want to miss. The cake was the best cake I’ve ever had. Chocolate orange. My daughter had the carrot cake and she said the same. But what really makes it extra special is the staff. We got a lovely welcome and fantastic service. The lady was the same as myself…… a huge fan of cake. And the view from the tearoom is priceless

We enjoyed our lunch here, an easy 5 star rating from us. The drive out through the moor is a little bleak, but then that is part of Rannoch's attraction. The menu is simple, but everything we had was good. Be aware that the tea room is small, and the staff work flat out. Booking ahead is probably a good idea, though you can wait for available tables. It is possible to take the train from here for a further moor experience.
