Rapids Waterpark

We’ve visited Rapids Water Park two years in a row and unfortunately our experience has changed enough that we’ve decided not to return for summer. This is meant as honest feedback, not hate. The park itself has fun attractions for kids, but the overall environment has started to feel much more adult-focused than family-focused. A noticeable of a more larger number of guests wearing thong bikinis or extremely small swimwear and there's nothing wrong if thats their preference but not in a family friendly park. While climbing stairs, standing in ride lines, and walking through kid areas. When you’re there with children, holding floaties and waiting for rides, it creates awkward situations for what is marketed as a family destination. Everyone has the right to wear what they want, that’s not the issue. The concern is simply that a venue designed around children and families should consider setting clearer expectations or guidelines to keep the atmosphere comfortable for all age groups. **Suggestion for improvement: Have a swimwear code** • Post clear signage at the entrance and on the website so expectations are known before guests arrive. • Reinforce marketing and branding that the park is primarily a family destination, not an adult ONLY atmosphere. There’s definitely a time and place for everything. Beaches, adult resorts, and certain pools are different environments. A kids water park should feel comfortable for parents with younger children. We truly hope management considers feedback like this, because the rides themselves are fun and the park has potential to be a great family destination again.

Went here with my family for my birthday. We all had a blast, even my toddler. There is plenty of things to do for everyone. Some rides won’t allow you on if you’re over 250. Keep that in mind and look at the signs. Before you go on the BIG slides. I didn’t have a problem since I’m under that weight limit. The yellow and blue slide was my favorite! It was the most fast and daring one.

This was my Mother's Day present from my family and the time spent together was exceptional! Loved all the rides, I was one of the kids running to the different rides at the end of the day trying to squeeze in just one more, and then another. The staff are courteous and helpful. Good variety of slides. We were there from open to close and only stopped long enough for lunch. And fun family must!!

Overall, it was a good experience, but be warned that it's expensive! It cost the same price to get a season pass and for three of us, it was over $200. Then, you have to pay for parking ($30) and $20 for a small locker for the day. Food is overpriced and not great. The park is also dirty and the water can get gross. Staff are not very friendly and very, very slow at their jobs so slides can get backed up. If you have the cash and patience, it makes for a fun day.

(8/9/25) My friends and I got in for “free” because of a blood donation incentive and it was definitely worth it! The rides are lot of fun and it was a great time overall. Phone lanyards are allowed. They weigh you before every single ride, each person has to weight less than 250lbs, and less than 700lbs as a group. Regular parking was $20 and the lines are way shorter in the morning but the stairs are killer. You can exit and reenter in the park and there are picnic tables in the parking lot if you choose to bring your own food. Cons: The wave pool was pitiful, I can make bigger waves with my arms. Some confusion also trying to find the stairs for the correct ride, they need more signage. A lot of the food stands in the park had gratuity added on to the already overpriced bill. Some rides are 2 people only so it’s a disadvantage for odd numbered groups. Altogether, it’s a great place to spend the day but expect to spend a good amount of money and wait in lines.

My family, friends, and I had a wonderful time celebrating my both daughters’ birthday party last week Sunday at Rapids Waterpark! :-) Thankfully our party in the party pavilion was for the first time slot, 12pm so we were able to decorate it beautifully. The staff provided great service with helping to store our items in the office and they brought all our boxes to and from the their office at the entry to the party spot. The hostess was delightful. The food and drinks were great. Everyone loved their time there! :-) We loved all the attractions and were happy that we were able to take our time to enjoy each others company for the rest of the day. Thanks for the great memories! :-)

From the larger park liked, despite the fact that it is not particularly large. There are interesting slides, but unfortunately 2 of the main slides with a falling bottom did not work This upset most of all! The park itself is clean Toilets and locker rooms are clean. Paid parking in front of the park $20 and $30! The price for an adult is $65 . We were on a Thursday and there were no lines! Good place to relax

Great family outing. Splash pads for little ones and scary/ exciting slides, too. Bring your waterproof phone bag so you won't need to buy a locker. You can also bring food in a cooler if you're comfortable leaving it in the picnic area just before the park entrance - good way to save. The snacks are expensive, but the season passes are totally worth it.

We had a great time here. We came on a Friday, a few minutes before opening time. The line wasn't long to get in nor was it long for the rides. We came prepared with food and drinks so we didn't have to spend money on that. The staff were friendly, consist of mostly teenagers. The vibe was relaxing. The alcohol beverages were well made and reasonable pricing. We had a blast here and will be returning soon.

Rapids 21+ AfterHours was exactly what I expected. 7/18/2025 event was sold out and lines were long. Out of the 3 hours everyone averaged at least 1 slide. With the amount of people I'm surprised it was a very controlled crowd. You had a DJ at the foam party, a DJ at the wave pool party, the bars were packed, the slides were packed, the Lazy River was closed.... Overall it was a good time. We were about 20 people in our party.

Always looking for family fun during the summer, and anything water related is even better. We went for our first visit on Memorial Day weekend, and boy was it packed (avoid on holidays if you don't want to wait 30 minutes plus per ride). After our visit, we decided to take advantage of the current deal on their season pass (buy a gold and get upgraded to platinum). Have managed to get our value out of the passes, but have found that weekday visits are less busy, so you get more time on the rides instead of on line waiting! Included with each platinum season pass for unlimited entry, came 4 guest passes, parking, souvenir cups with discounted refills, entry to adult nights, and discounted park food. Overall, we like the park, but there are some negatives. The new Mega Mayhem ride is constantly glitching and it causes significant delays. The park gets trashed by park goers fairly quickly and the place reeks of urine (even not near bathrooms). Several rides appeared to be closed for the season. There is an overgrowth of bushes impeding traffic on the step bridge that separates the two halves of the park (a simple fix). Even though line saving is not permitted, it happens, and it's a nuisance when you've been waiting patiently. There are some great lifeguards that seem like they love their job and make the experience fun for attendees, and then there are those that are miserable.

It's been a while since we've been to Rapids Water Park and seems to have gone downhill and needs to keep up with other water parks with some new and exciting rides. Service was lacking and every employee encountered was rude and can't even crack a smile. Wave pool is not really a wave pool as barely had even 1 foot waves as it wasn't enough to create much excitement. Soft currents in the lazy river. Long lines and waits, although it's expected and common but believe if more rides open and new rides available would help lessen and balance out the lines. Also be aware when purchasing the souvenir Icee drink as it's sold as free refills but then they charge you $4 per refill after all. Overall, seems to have gotten overpriced, over crowded, and no new thrills for any new excitement

Rapids needs to establish a policy on how many people can enter a day. You waste money standing in line and wasting your day in the hot sign. THEY NEED A MAXIMUM CAPACITY! you can't even have fun I do not recommend ADULTS ONLY PARTY. It was a complete waste of my money, I want my money back. We couldn't get on ANYTHING. and it's only from 7p-10p. Which by 8:45p the workers were closing the slides. So its completely pointless This park needs to work on a maximum capacity and only sell certain tickets a day. Other than that you might ride a maximum of 2 rides You're better off going to Orlando and to their water parks

Easy yes. We got the Rapids Annual Pass and easily go during the work week if the kids are off or on the wknds. Go early to avoid the lines. Else just go on the lazy river all day or in all of the pool locations. The wave pool is so fun with trendy music. If you are a Florida local, do it. For the kids, the teens, and the adults too :) Elephant Ears - our favorite !!!!

Rapids waterpark is no Disney or Universal but it doesn't present a pretty good entertainment options in South Florida. They always have new rides coming up and sometime they take down a few for maintenance, so check out their website for current information. The lockers are available in two sizes but I found them pretty expensive. I would suggest renting the smaller one and keep most of your stuff in the car itself and bring only the valuables to put in your locker. I got small bruises on my elbows on a couple of rides so be pretty careful with your stance while riding. All the instructions are out there and the staff also reminds you before every ride.

I went with family and friends. We each got all day/season passes which were charged twice on all of our cards, that was pretty confusing. We tried to find seating and that was a MAJOR issue. There were many empty seats with simply a bag or a pair of shoes on them with nobody sitting in them. But as the worker I spoke with told me, it's "first come first serve" when it comes to finding a place to sit. So, with about 50 empty chairs with only towels or shoes on them, we only found a place to sit on an open space on a wall. This is giving me Carnival Cruise vibes and the staff is pretty dismissive about it. I think this issue is something that needs addressing because people can't hold chairs for 5-6 hours at a time unattended with simply their belongings. It's unfair to those who genuinely want to use the free seating to actually sit.

We are visiting from PA and had a kayaking trip cancelled for wind, this was a back up plan on a whim. We arrived around noon, it was tough to find a chair for our bag and towels, but we managed! Our teens loved the drop slide, the raft rides, and the aqua coaster! We had plenty to entertain us and were able to ride everything we wanted between noon and 6pm. Sadly, there are tons of line jumpers, rude people stealing rafts ahead of those that are waiting, and the food is expensive. But, the kids who work there are trying, and the public is a pain (but not the park's fault!) The rides themselves are very fun!

Forget the Typhoon Lagoon, go to Rapids Waterpark instead. Besides the artificial sand beaches that Disney gives you, this place offers more thrills at a more affordable price. We were a casualty to the Disney daze and didn't realize just how much better this park is than what Disney has to offer. Rapids Waterpark offers 40+ water slides (including an awesome water coaster) as well as the ability to watch movie or music videos why riding their wave pool. The park does a good job of keeping the attractions within a small footprint (which means less walking), and most of these attractions can be reached using various exits from the lazy river (which you can use for as long as you like). We went on a Thursday, and it had MUCH shorter lines for the attractions than Disney did on the prior Thursday. Some of the areas are a little worn, but your child won't care. They offer so many options for all ages that all of your family can stay soaked and have fun all day. The food options aren't as great as something like Disney, but they are more affordable, and you dont need gourmet when you are going to be swimming all day. My only complaint is that larger locker rentals were $35 and preferred parking for $5 more dollars only puts you a sometimes feet closer than the regular parking. Recommendation: Order your tickets AND your parking online instead of at the gate. Especially when you have 2+ people as the savings will add up. This can even be done the day of (even in the parking lot if you want if you wish).

So so so very disappointed! I bought 2 seasons passes for the special rate of $65 each. My grandson and his friend came down for a week and in between planned events , we planned on them spending time at the Rapids. Well, 15 minutes after I dropped them off they left. There were SO MANY DAY CAMPS that there were no chairs, no place to sit and no locker available. The lazy river had so many people in it that you couldn't even stand let alone float. The lines were so long. It was pointless to even stay there. So I just flushed $156 bucks down the drain. ​​

To begin, the waterpark rides were fun. Unfortunately, some of the staff wasn't helping with the rides as they should of and they were talking to there friends. This went on for about 5 mins. At the end of the day it was a solid day at the waterpark.

I came here with some friends for their adult 90s night. Now it's been years since I've been to Rapids water park but I loved the nostalgia of it. I'm not sure where the 90s theme came in but I had a good time. I arrived early since the event was only three hours but it was well worth it. Charging for parking and an admission ticket is pretty much a scam but you gotta do what you gotta do. I was upset that the park event rules weren't advertised for the event. As we were sent away the first time being told only clear bags and that's not something I saw advertised anywhere in advance so I could've been prepared. I even looked up the park rules online and tried calling (but got voicemail). There also should've been advertising about which rides were open with a map since one person in our group came for the lazy river and was disappointed to learn it was closed upon arrival. Why did we pay to come in when half the park was closed? You still have to pay for a full day of locker rentals if you need one for valuables (the price isn't discounted). And also, there wasn't as much music as I thought there would be. The rapids employees aren't the nicest. They act all cool and mumble but I guess that's all you can expect from teenagers running the place. Some were also even misinformed as we were told how many people were needed for a ride before entering and then just before getting o the ride, a different employee said otherwise. Despite all the negatives in this review, the positives were, the lines weren't long and we got a free Fanny pack upon arrival. That was a cute touch. And getting scanned into the park was pretty easy. Bar drinks were also reasonably priced. Not sure if I'd come to another adult night because I did have a nice time but I'm not sure if with everything it was worth it.

This is the best time and such a great family friendly activity. It brought me back to my childhood and had a great time going on the slides. I didn't get to do them all but I want to return for sure. My advice is to get there in the morning to find some chairs and start the day with going on the slides. We waited til the afternoon and one of them was almost an hour wait. They have tons of food options like funnel cakes, pizza, fries to name a few, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks for sale but if you want to bring your own, there is a part outside of the park with picnic tables for you to eat.

Traveled from miami to enjoy the waterpark & overall it was pretty fun. There was an interaction with a lifeguard who approached my partner and I telling us that we need to leave and begun shooing us away. We were aware that the park was closing and we were simply packing our items into our bag. There were guest next to us as well and the same lifeguard approached them shooing them telling them " we're closed, get up". This is interaction was extremely unprofessional and she definitely made us feel unwanted. I wish i got her name, but she was near the booth that sold funnel cakes.

Just don't get the ice cream they made the cones ahead of time they melted all over! What a mess!!

Rapids is a good water park. With its fun, engaging rides and food, it is overall a good time. However, it has little rides and the waits are usually long. 3 stars.

This water park was one of my favorites when I was a kid. I remember it only having the four yellow slides, concession stand, and free parking. It added the lazy river a few years later. My oh my has it changed over the years to today. When we went to kick off the 4th of July weekend yesterday, there was quite a crowd there. it was $15 for parking. Yikes! I honestly think that's ridiculous since you have to pay $49.99 a person for admission. It used to be 10 bucks for admission back in the day. Call me old school! I get it with all of the enhancements and slides that were added since it's been over 20 years ago. Take advantage of the coupons that you can get if you can. We were able to save five bucks off each person with the ones we had. We can save 20 bucks off in September through November, which saves almost half. They also have a sunset admission price starting at 4 p.m. for $25 a person. I'm not sure if that is enough time to do everything there. Since we spent a majority of the day there, you would think we would have done everything. Not quite. I went on a few of the water slides. The bigger and tall ones will have wait for them. Some of them took about a half hour or longer. If it was just my husband and I, we wouldn't have mind the wait, but when there are children, it was quite the opposite. My 8 year old son wasn't too thrilled about waiting and he complained about it until we got closer to getting on, which he was excited about. I figured that since it was a holiday weekend, it was going to be packed and long lines. We did manage to do the lazy river a few times and the four of us went around it a couple times each time we went on. The Old Yellar, Big Red, Rapids Racer, Body Blasters, Big Surf, and Tubing Tornadoes were the ones I was able to go on and the kids got on all of the kids ones. There is a height and weight restriction on a majority of the slides that require mats and tubes to sit on for the them and the lifeguards are checking each person before they let you on. There were quite a few people that had to leave the slide if they didn't meet requirements, so good luck trying to fool them since they don't play with safety. You are welcome to bring coolers into the park and you have to sit in a certain area if you do that. We skipped all of that and just bought food there throughout the day. There is one water bottle allowed per person, so be sure to do that since it can add up there when purchasing drinks and food there. We probably spent over 75 bucks on that consisted of fries, mozzarella sticks, a slushie, a waterproof phone cover, a Riptide cocktail, two Dipping Dots ice creams, and whatever else I may be forgetting...lol. Would I go again? You betcha! It will burn a hole in your wallet and you tend to forget about it once you're in the water. I felt like a kid again along with my husband and our kids soaking up all of the fun. There are plenty of lifeguards that were at the park observing everything. I wish that they would offer more perks to the price if we weren't able to go on all of the slides and get rid of that stupid parking fee. Other than that, I'll plan to be back to take on all the slides next time.

SCAM ALERT. FALSE ADVERTISING or at the very least misrepresenting the facts. We thought we were getting a good deal on the Gold Season pass. WRONG! They has the requirement in the a different section of their website make you believe that you were getting a FREE bring a friend ticket. Very misleading. Reply back to manager. Really where does it state use by 6/30? It clearly state must be purchased by 6/30. Horrible experience.

Just visited this park. And like a recent review, there is a lack of tubes causing bottle necks!! We went there on Saturday and somewhat enjoyed it. You have a huge mismanagement of rides!! Black thunder had a lack of tubes while blue thunder had too many of them. This caused riders to have wait over an hour because there was only 2 tubes to serve black thunder!! On top of all this, there was a blue shirt worker that would keep interrupting the other workers with jokes and laughter, not doing her job and further holding up lines! Hugely mismanaged UPDATE: After receiving the reply from management below, it's clear there is just an excuse management system in place instead of owning the issue, looking into it, and being customer friendly. - No, there were literally 2 tubes only for black thunder - Yes, a woman blue shirt employee was interrupting every other employee for doing their job.

My review would be 4 stars. However, you're paying full price and a third of the waterpark is closed for construction/renovations. Fun place to take the kids! Lots of different style water slides. If you get there early, parking is easy & fast. 15$ You can bring your own food to save . The food selection is very limited & expensive. There is a picnic area near entrance of park, which was very nice and convenient. We brought a cooler full of stuff. They check your bags so don't try and bring outside food or drinks into the park. However, they do let you bring one water bottle per person in to the waterpark. There are a few places to get alcoholic beverages if you like. Not cheap of course. Admission to park is kind of expensive. It cost us $60 per person, but I would say it is worth going at least once. It will take you all day to ride everything. The lines were fairly long on Sunday......about 30+ minutes per ride..... obviously during the week if it's a bit shorter. The rides were thrilling and fun. Not your basic water slides. There are weight limits before you can ride. Make sure to read about them or you won't be able to ride. They are short on staff, so not everything is open and it makes the wait times longer. There is a large wave pool , which the kids loved, with music videos playing. There were plenty of restrooms and no lines. There was also no problem leaving the park. No wait time, just got in our car and left near closing time, which was nice I recommend going if you like water parks

I've been here 15 years and always wanted to go but unfortunately my Hubby doesn't know how to swim so it was never on the top of his list. Fast forward to more recently, my friends wanted to plan a trip to Rapids Water Park with all of our kids for their Spring break. I was excited so we planned a day off and prepared. We were going to order the tickets in advance, but decided to just do when we got there. Next time we may get the annual pass since it's cheaper, but we don't know when or if we'll be back. Next time we may also pay for a cabana if we decide to stay for a whole day. I ended up with a mean sunburn that has healed but it still looks like I have my bathing suit on LOL It was a fun time and my kids really enjoyed the wave pool and the tube sliding. Even my youngest got to enjoy the kiddie play area.

my sweet boyfriend brought me here for my 21st birthday to have fun we love water rides but we were only able to go on 2 rides in 3 hours.. we waited 1.5hrs to get on the black n white slide that lasted probably 15 seconds and they were weighing people for 2 separate rides on one scale which made it take forever not to mention the workers were so rude lol i was trying to ask the girl if i was sitting correctly on the tube and she didn't even answer or even look at us before pushing us down the ride.. didn't have one nice exchange with any worker there lol soooooo overpriced they don't care they will let everyone in and have no sense of urgency to get anyone on the rides ur paying to sit in line mostly unless you want to sit in the lazy river or wave pool with all the babies peeing in it

The experience was great but the waiting lines were long and we had to throw away food we bring and drinks (they do this to make more money) because my grandma is diabetic and she had to bring food or her glucose goes high or low overall the slides were great the wave pool was amazing and the lazy river was great (we came 10 minutes after opening and the lines were super long)

The customer service was ok, the stairs are musty and the lines take literally an hour or above around 1-3 the rides are fun and go to mega mayhem as early as you can

First, raised parking fees up to $15! Upon entering the park found out that 4 major big slides were closed without any explanation! The concession stand was closed as well! If you were not in the mood for funnel cakes ( only food available) you were out of luck. To top it off, the $4 bottled water was warm! Needless to say, we won't be back anytime soon.

Let me tell you one thing, the way they portray Rapids water park on the television commercials, is in no way of representation of the clientele that comes to the park. One of the worst experiences of my life going somewhere in south, Florida, they should be more transparent on commercials of who comes there .

rapids is really fun! didn't get much pictures besides the food which was ver good! the rides were really fun as well as the wave pool but the lazy river is half closed because of construction so that was a little disappointing but it was still fun!

The rides are awesome but make sure you can climb at least 100 steps up to 30-50ft.... Not for the unfit! The food is absolutely NaSTY.......staff has little personality- but the rides are so awesome we can stand the lack of personable staff...

The rides are fun and staff was pleasant and kept things moving. However, Rapids needs to crack down on line holders. We waited 90 minutes for EACH of the major rides (black thunder, big red, blue thunder) and at least a third of the wait was due to line holders routinely trying to game the system by letting their friends skip an hour's wait to join them. Signs clearly state "no line skipping or holding" but this needs to be more strictly enforced. One man swore at me in front of my child when he tried to barrel past us in line and I informed him that management said "no line holding". Then he came back and forced his way through with his very large wife. Several other guests were upset and exchanged looks and words about the couples rude behavior, particularly since we'd all been waiting for an hour by then. I alerted a lifeguard and the man was not allowed on the ride, but the wife proceeded to come over and verbally assault me. Other guests had to jump to my defense. Rapids needs to be MUCH clearer about the No Line HOLDING rule to avoid such situations. Perhaps more signage on entry to rides, on the tickets would help. Additionally, staff need to watch out for folks entering lines and pushing past people and call them out. Two strikes (or one strike if cursing/assaulting other patrons is involved) should be grounds for dismissal.

Half the park was closed, very $$$ for single pass, looong lines and girls violently fighting near my kids in the pool with pieces of hair floating around us. Never going back

The adults and 9 yr old had fun. 3 1/2 yr old didn't. A bit pricey Great day and we spent 4 hours there.

I visited during spring break and most of the water things weee closed.. they said that the teenagers were at school and they were waiting until after three which never happened.

Just visited Rapids Water Park on 4/20/24. As a lifelong Palm Beach, Florida resident who has had the opportunity to enjoy visiting Rapids many times over the years I have to say I was pretty disappointed by one glaring issue. There was only like maybe 10% of the tubes and mats available to use and I don't mean just in the lazy river I mean on every ride that uses a tube or a mat there was like barely any available to use which resulted in bottlenecks in line and walking through the lazy river rather than floating in it. There used to be stacks of tubes available at every entrance point to the lazy river so everyone can have a tube. There used to be so many tubes of all sizes in service that the treadmill that carries the tubes back up to the start of a ride would be completely full. There wasn't ride bottlenecks caused by having to wait on tubes to return. If a waterpark isn't willing to provide adequate number of tubes/mats so all of the guests can enjoy the attractions then that is a dealbreaker for me. I was strongly considering purchasing a season pass but decided not to because it was a real chore searching for an unoccupied tube in the lazy river which is absolutely ridiculous. And like I said it wasn't just the tubes for the lazy river that were suspiciously low in quantity but all of the rides were operating with unusually low levels of tubes/mats. Fix this issue Rapids Water Park. My God you are a water park, finding a raft to use is supposed to be super easy and readily available all around the park. This would be like a restaurant not having enough plates, glasses or silverware available to use. It's kind of embarrassing. Some of the attractions could use a fresh coat of paint. The concrete can be unbearably hot if you're walking around the park barefoot. Still had fun during my visit but the experience definitely could have been better.

ZERO STARS- They called my regular backpack a cooler and did not let me come into the park FOR WHAT???? IT WASN'T EVEN HOLDING ANY FOOD. The park is ran by of 12 year olds and older women who act like 12 year olds. Save your money. Don't go.

Minimal safety precautions for rides. I fell out of a tube going down a toilet bowl and it took them five full minutes to get me ice after I hit my head incredibly hard. The medic was helpful but I was appalled that the people at the bottom of rides don't have ice packs but the ones at the top do, how does that make sense? We wanted to come here to enjoy the rides but half of them were closed. I mean first of all I hit my head, it took them forever to get me ice, and that wasn't even the worst part. We figured the wave pool would be fun and safer than the tube while still having the 'thrill' factor. It took them 2 hours after the park opened to even turn it on, and even then it was more like a 'splash' pool. It was 2 feet deep and barely moved. The people at the cafeteria were rude, they played god awful retail music all over the park (never in my life have I seen a giant screen play music VIDEOS over a wave pool. what's the appeal there?) This park can be fun just bring a helmet & hope they have hired more lifeguards by the time you go so they can actually help you out on time.

Have been to Rapids several times since they opened. Used to drive an hour to go and now have been a local for many years. Since they started offering annual passes, purchased them for my family and I every year. Throughout the year have noticed a big change in staffing attitude. Then started noticing stricter rules not regarding safety but regarding food/drinks to increase purchases from guests. This last visit was downright insulting and sadly I can only say the motivation is driven by greed. I did not bring any chips or such for my young son since in a prior visit had been asked to discard it or take it back to my vehicle. I brought only water and my youngest had a bottle of gatorade which I was immediately told to discard at bag check. I was then asked to open our canteens of water so I asked if they did a sniff check for alcohol? The young attendant responded coldly that she could breathe? Next I was told my pineapple book bag could not go in because it had the insulation of a cooler??? I explained as she saw I have always used it as a beach bag to keep my phone cool as well as pouch with sunscreen and waters cool. She could care less and said thats the rule. I asked to speak to a manager, offered I would go to customer service she said no stay here. A younger looking attendant came out- was told she was the supervisor. She said the rule had to be enforced. I requested someone else in management, while waiting for several minutes a woman with a baby- was flagged for having "baby food!" In her bag.... a supervisor was called to "approve" the contraband. Then the manager finally came out to tell me the same thing, she seemed sincere and explained upper management was so adamant about this new "policy" that they walked around and took pictures if a soft cooler was found within the park. Ridiculous! The insane part and the reason I decided to write a review is because whilst in the part I noticed huge safety concerns in 3 different parts of the park. A young girl being slammed into the wall in the wave pool, the lifeguard above (young guy) completely oblivious, a lifeguard by the projector way down was the one that noticed several minutes later. On the splash zone side a kid went down the striped slides standing up! And the lifeguard at the top said "what the fuck? Never seen that before" that my youngest son overheard. And the deep pool next to it, a kid free jumped from the top of the stairs 3 x's before the lifeguard noticed. Lastly the food area which now we all have to visit if you want to eat/drink something in the actual park had only 2 working windows with cc readers and the attendants would tell you to stay at the window to wait for the food instead of moving to one of the other windows without an attendant. The whole thing felt like a joke. I truly think the owner/managing company should worry more about safety and staffing inside the park and guest experience then obsessing over bags and contraband food and drinks. It's a shame bc these neighborhood waterparks depend on the support of the locals and all they are doing are leaving guests with unpleasant experiences.

Don't get me wrong, I understand it's an expensive day, but rapids water park is a lot of fun. This is one of the very few water parks I've been to where I feel like there are enough distinct thrill rides to keep adults entertained for a full day. The recent expansion on the other side of the road includes a surf simulator which is a ton of fun. In terms of slides, there is a good mix of tube-based and non-tube-based rides. Each ride provides a different experience due to their unique features.

Horrible experience we were waiting so long for people to give us the food they brought us the menu we chose what to eat then they told us that we could not order hamburgers when I actually bought the tickets and it said that if I could order hamburgers , the machine to scan tickets did not work we had to wait for the one who served us was writing down the number for each ticket when there were almost 30 tickets horrible experience and we were waiting for waters in our cabins and they never arrived they should give you better customer service

Posting my review again- with a 1 star after someone from the park replied, because their reply is incorrect. There were several rides closed. She said Black Thunder was open, however, it was roped off. I also asked a staff member and they said there was a hole in the water slide so they had to shut it down- so I am not sure where she got that lol probably because she's in the office and not the actual park. Also- she said the rafts were next to all the rides. FALSE. The large four person tube had to be dragged to the ride - which I wouldn't have been able to do but we were randomly paired with another couple so the gentleman was able to help. I also had to drag the boat-looking tube the whole was up the sidewalk and stairs to the new ride. It was very heavy and difficult. Also- the "large sign in the front of the park" was a rude reply to me saying I was not able to figure out the layout of the park. I am extremely aware, can follow directions/rules, and very familiar with reading signs/maps- especially as an elementary school teacher. It was not obvious. Both my friend and I were confused and had difficulty throughout the day finding where to go and enter for different things - with little to no help from any of the staff. We asked several questions and the staff were all teenagers who barely answered. It was very agitating being from out of the area and needing help. " Terrible experience!! Here is why: 1. For about $70 a person, it costs more than one of my local theme parks that has a water park and amusement park. 2. Half of the water slides were down. We were so excited to do the large black and white high thrill slide, Black Thunder, but it wasn't working- which we didn't know until we hiked across the water park to get to it. 3. Lack of direction and information... it was hard to figure out where things were. There were not maps around. There was some signs that had arrows pointing, but it was confusing to know where you were exactly going. Also, it was confusing to know what rafts go with which ride since it wasn't labeled anywhere and staff were not helping guests. 4. Staff communication. We were told by an employee to step out of the food line and go on the other side of the concession stand because there was no line. The staff member on the other side said the window was closed and she couldn't help us. 5. Staff attitude. Everyone, literally EVERYONE, seemed absolutely miserable. Barely answered questions, gave no information, talked monotone, and were not helpful. It was extremely rude and alarming, as it is supposed to be a fun environment. Only nice staff members I spoke with were the two bartenders. We told them they were the most pleasant people all day. To note- we made the best of what we could. We did four rides and the lazy river.. we had lunch and tried to have a relaxing and fun girls day. I will say the cherry on top to the whole experience is looking to leave a review the following day and they dropped the price by almost 50%.... Lovely. Would've preferred a cheaper price for the negligence of the staff and attraction as a whole."

First timers and got here at 1 and immediately as me and my partner walked in the park closed. Didn't find any chairs or even step foot into the water. We went back to the ticket counter only to be told that they don't give out refunds. They told us to come back in 2 hours however, and they would give us tickets to come back another day. So instead of leaving, we stayed in the rainy, thundering storm for 2 hours. When we went back, they denied us tickets on top of rude workers. Waste of $140 don't plan on coming back.

Occasion: Summer Date PARKING: $15 flat rate parking $20 VIP parking Admission: $60 All Day, $30 Evening Pass Location & Ambiance: Located west of i95. Service: Most of the workers are pretty young. They were efficient. Food: Multiple options available. The item which stood out to me the most was the funnel cakes! Overall: 7/10 The water park could use a major update and the day we went there was a fight which was very interesting. The authorities were called to handle the situation. I believe with a little bit of TLC this park can surely earn some more stars!

I love this place and have chosen to purchase season tickets two years in a row for summer cooling, toddler fun and elderly care. I bring my 82 yr old stroke afflicted disabled mother to walk in the calm water pool and to enjoy the sun. Our 2 yr old daughter loves the baby pool and kiddie slides. My middle aged husband loves to visit his teen years and hang with his buddies on the bigger adult slides. I prefer alternating from the wave pool to the lazy river. The staff allow me to take my disabled mother into the handicapped facility to dress her and leave her mechanical wheelchair. Other staff member/lifeguards have taken a special interest in watching over my mother when she's walking the 4' pools. I honestly feel blessed with most of my experience at The Rapids and I'm very eager to get the full experience of the lazy river back... as it's partially down for construction of a new slide for the entire summer of 2023. It's more like the "un-lazy river" because you can only float half way around and then they make patrons get out and walk back. SMH ‍ someone in engineering didn't communicate with planning that very well. But overall, my experience is 5 stars. People like Marilyn in administration and Carly in lifeguarding make this experience the best!

Very nice day for 2 50 something old parents and a 14 year old. We drove up from key largo the night before. Rides staggered open through the am as more people came. You have to get here early to get a lounge chair which we did. Concessions and drinks were overpriced but thats everywhere. Probably short staffed a bit as well like the rest of the world as well. We had a lovely time relaxing by the wave pool while she ran around all day. I take one star for the price of the concessions.

Lifegaurds are not Red Cross certified and their spinal boards are SO unsafe and concerning. As an ex-lifeguard I am extremely worried for when somebody gets seriously injured here because the lifeguards would definitely not know what to do. Even if it were a lead guard that helps, their equipment is so janky that I'm sure the injured person would have their injuries worsened. Their rain check policy is literal bullshit. They keep the water park closed just in time for everyone to not be able to qualify for the rain check tickets. For example, they say they have to be closed a minimum 2 hours in order to qualify and they literally open at 1hr 59 mins. It's infuriating. Bad vibes here, would not recommend. Go to a county pool or waterpark that has lifeguards that are actually properly trained with Red Cross and don't act like they are too good to be a decent friendly human being.

After living in South Florida for my entire childhood and visiting Florida on and off since college, I finally made it to the Rapids Water Park today. Over the years, my friends have hyped this place up, and I always had a FOMO. That FOMO was removed today. "Why am I only giving this water park two stars?," you may be asking. I'll get into that shortly. Firstly, the variety and number of waterslides were plenty. There's an attraction for just about everyone. That's not the issue at all. BUT, it becomes an issue to enjoy the rides when the rides are closed due to not having enough lifeguards to staff the slides. When I questioned the staff about the closures, they let me know that they have three different shifts; one shift that starts at 9:30 AM, another at 10:30 AM, and a last one at 11:30 AM. This was their rationale for having slides closed due to staffing shortages. If you're going to charge people $50.00 for an admission ticket, then you should make sure you have enough staff to SUPPORT the entire park. If you're going to have different shifts, then have different admission ticket prices to match your ideology around staffing. Additionally, I understand that machines break and what not. But have a better solution when this happens. The conveyor belt was broken for one of the raft rides and this created an unnecessary inconvenience, causing me not wait an absurd amount of time to ride one of the rides. All in all, my visit to the Rapids Water Park was neutral. Would I go back? Probably not. Would I recommend it to others visiting the area? Probably not. If you want to keep lifetime customers (I was with a friend who's been going since the opening of the park, and he was not amused at all today), then work on these issues and provide incentive for people to want to return.
