RAPPU | Sushi Handrolls, Izakaya & Sakes

Been here for dinner before with the set handroll menu and loved it. Found out they do amazing lunch sets. This is $18++! Extremely fresh and value for money and their wasabi is of great quality too. The atmosphere is also very fun with great music. A great place to hang out, and an extremely 11/10 worth lunch spot!

I definitely got +5 cool points just being in here. You choose an order of either 5 or 6 (all different!) The rolls come in one by one, so pigs like me don’t gobble them up too quickly. And you eat bite by bite and enjoy your tastebuds a bit more. It was actually a nice experience, and the presentation of everything was lovely. Would definitely come back for more another time. Also it’s best for groups of 2 at the bar, or 4 at a table. We had 4 at the bar but it wasn’t as social as we’d have liked

My first time at Rappu, and I finally got to try their famous sushi handrolls — and wow, what an experience! We ordered two sets of The Rappu 4 handrolls, Tengo & Jigo, a Hotate Salmon Lunch Set, and the indulgent High Roller - Toro and Foie Gras. The Rappu 4 handrolls were a fantastic start — each roll was packed with fresh, flavorful ingredients that melted in the mouth. The Hotate Salmon lunch set was equally impressive, with perfectly balanced textures and taste. But the real showstopper? The High Rollers. The premium ingredients like Toro and Foie Gras elevated the entire meal to a whole new level. Rich, luxurious, and absolutely mind-blowing — it was the highlight of our visit. A big thank you to Rebecca for her wonderful and friendly service, and for showing us the perfect spot for photo-taking — it made our experience even more memorable! Highly recommended for anyone looking to treat themselves to a sushi experience that’s both refined and unforgettable.

had such a great experience at RAPPU! The handrolls were fresh, premium, and absolutely delicious. Service was attentive and friendly — the staff made us feel really comfortable. Portion sizes were just nice for enjoying variety, and I loved that everything was prepared right in front of us. Highly recommend if you love sushi.

Good for 2 pax at a good value $65++. It’s a mountain of Sashimi Trio (Salmon, Toro, Hotate), Duck Tsukune & Unagi. Topped with premium egg yolks and rice & lotus chips on the base. Izakaya Edamame & Asari Miso soup included. We conquered Mount Zermatt (named after Zermatt food challenge) savoring every small bites in nori rolls, with rice and tacked to lotus root crisp dipped in Rappu signature nikiri sauce. Yummy. Recommend!

The food, atmosphere and service was already superb but what took the cake was Gray making us feel extra comfortable. Food was amazing, we had the Rappu 6 in the Tengo and Jigo styles and was blown away by each hand roll, and even better paired with the drinks as per Gray’s suggestion, especially the chocolate shot at the end as dessert. Undoubtedly this place was one of the best things we had (and we had a lot of Japanese food in this country). We also had the hamachi and the salmon sashimi as sides which melted in our mouths! Was a memorable birthday dinner. Thank you Gray, your friendliness and service was incredibly amazing!

Tried the 6 rolls + kombucha set which was SO GOOD! Our server Rebecca was so sweet and knowledgeable about the food they served, and her suggestions really made our experience so much better! Highly recommended and would totally bring my loved ones here again~

In 1 line, the Rappu experience is a masterclass in elevating a staple (and its basic constituent ingredients) to Japan-level and much more. Sushi, as a Japanese staple, is difficult to stand out.  Perhaps there is sushi that is more fresh than others, sushi that is presented more nicely.  I think Rappu does this, but to a much higher level — especially for its Jigo handroll set, which is my go-to. Every element by itself is superb — from the rice, to the perfectly fresh, clean-tasting fish/main ingredient, to the toppings (e.g. chili leek; tempura crumbs etc.), to even the seaweed (nori) that is used.  Combined into 1 handroll, the already great individual ingredients transform into a symphony of flavours, that leave me hungry for more after each handroll. My personal favourites are the Toro handroll, as well as the Engawa.  Oh the engawa — if you've never tried sushi capable of melting in your mouth like warm, luscious butter, I highly encourage trying it (specifically the Jigo set engawa, which is included in the Rappu 6 Jigo set, or can be ala carte added). Apart from this, their izakaya dishes are nothing to scoff at either.  Their unagi is some of the most flavourful, fresh, fluffy eel I've ever tasted among Japanese restaurants in Singapore thus far; their duck tsukune has also been done so well that there isn't a single hint of gaminess to the meat, which is often characteristic of duck meat. Service is efficient, and the staff there do remember their regulars, which adds a nice personal touch.  And the ambience is also chic-casual, which is perfect for winding down in the evening (while enjoying amazing cuisine). To summarize: having gone to Rappu more than 5 times already, every single experience is a gastronomic adventure which, after its completion, leaves me craving for more.  Thanks to this lovely team for making the Rappu experience happen each and every time!
