The Abandoned Amusement Park Great American Road Trip

"Update as of August 2020: The park is now known as  Raptor Ranch and has maintained much of its original Bedrock decor.  Bedrock City is a Flintstones-themed amusement park and campground that will have you screaming, “Yabba dabba doo!” if you were a fan of the cartoon.  Since 1973, Bedrock City has made it possible for park-goers to see what life was like for everyone’s favorite Stone Age family. For Flintstones rookies, there is a small rock movie theatre they can watch a Flintstone cartoon to catch up. Besides the homes of Fred & Wilma, Barney & Betty, there is also a small train, a schoolhouse, and the dinosaur slide that mimics the brontosaurus Fred slides off when it is quitting time at the quarry. In addition to Bedrock City’s more standard amenities, such as the campground and park area, visitors can also eat at Fred’s Diner, which serves up Flintstones-inspired Bronto Burgers and Chickasurus Dinners, and spend money at the gift shop, which sells stuffed dinosaurs, postcards, and T-shirts with Fred’s face on them.  In 2015, longtime owner Linda Speckels put Bedrock City up for sale. After having owned and operated the park for more than 40 years, Speckels, now in her mid-70s, cited her desire to retire as her primary reason for selling. The 30-acre property is currently priced at $2 million. This place is a great stop after you have seen the Grand Canyon and are driving that long stretch of desolate highway back to civilization.     Update As of January 2019: This site is closed. Update as of February 2019: The site was purchased by new owners who say they will convert the property to a park displaying birds of prey. They say some of the Flintstones displays will be incorporated into the new park, but most will be removed.  Update as of October 2019: Bedrock City is currently closed indefinitely, but has an uncertain fate. Update May 2022: Most of the exhibits are still there. Can’t miss it when driving through." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

It's such a cute place. Highly recommend if you're in the area. They have a great military discount. But even without it very responsible and well worth the 10.00. They have a great RV area as well. I didn't stay there but it was across the street from our hotel. Highly recommend.

Google
Love that they honor active duty with free admission!! This is such a fun road side attraction on your way to (or from) the Grand Canyon. The raptor show was very informative. I never realized how impressive falcons are! We spent about 45 minutes checking out the little buildings but if you have kids plan for a bit longer. There’s so many fun things for them!

Google
Decent place to visit If you're on your way to the Grand Canyon, then this is a cool place to stop by. They have the classic flintstone park here with some animals to feed and check out. There's also a restaurant and a store here. ***If anyone likes my honest reviews, then please like my post and follow my google account*** -Thanks

Mike Colie

Google
Nothing fancy here. Very friendly staff. Gravel/dirt sites with W&E and a dump station. Otherwise it's all desert growth. Decent little camp store and a restaurant. Laundry room needs a deep cleaning as it's getting pretty bad. Plus it's expensive! $5 to wash and $5 to dry! It's also a Flintstones themed park which we didn't visit. The public showers and restrooms were OK. It is about 30 miles south of the Grand Canyon which is good. Beware of the burrs and thorns when walking and especially for any 4 legged campers.

Google
It was such a unique and fun experience! It made for a nice little stop on our way back from the Grand Canyon. We loved seeing the goatasaurus and alpacasurus! You can even feed them! The animals looked happy and healthy. The Flintstones Park was a charming extra perk; we learned the Flintstones Park has been around for 50-plus years! it felt so nostalgic!

Chance

Google
It was such a great experience. We took kiddos and even us adults had fun sliding down the slide, feeding the goats and alpacas and competing in the caveman obstacle course.

Google
This place is so cute!!! We had a blast exploring Bedrock City! If you grew up with the Flintstones you'll love exploring the city no matter what age you are! Highly recommend!

Google
Wish I could give more than 5 stars! This place is a super cool little park based on the Flintstones cartoons. Complete with dinosaurs, the town of Bedrock and even a little "Dino dig" area. Several raptors also add to the experience with live shows during the day. Finished our experience at Fred's diner with the most Heavenly cookie I have ever tasted! The people are amazing, the service outstanding and the experience was fantastic! Have to give a big thanks for the active duty and retired military being free to visit. Such an incredible day at such a wonderful place! Bonus: Pet Friendly!!

Yelp
If you are tent camping it's kinda hard to get the stakes in the ground since it's a bunch of rocks ! But since everywhere is filled this weekend this is a great spot that seems to be over looked. It's very quiet here so I love it . It's got a great place to eat . You do need coins from the gift shop to take a shower tho. But it does have a laundry mat as well if you need to get stuff washed . The restrooms and showers are also very clean!
google avatar

Heidi G.

Yelp
Absolutely scary and beyond sketchy. The people who run this establishment prioritize profit over customer safety and comfort They call it glamping, but the tents are held together with tape and the "campground" is a giant scary, rocky field full of glass. It also looks like the perfect habitat for scary wildlife.

Yelp
09/26/2023 I should have read some other reviews that don't recommend stopping here. Arriving here is like walking into a theme park for The Flintstones Bedrock City. Parked in front of the building that shows Entrance to Park. My brother asked where the restroom is located. He gets a reply from the girl at the counter that there isn't a public restroom here. The rest of us walk in to check out the place and see what Flintstone stuff we could see. I could hear the girl whisper or in a softer voice saying that's the group that blah blah blah. Look, you're going to get a bunch of tourist running through here and probably stopping in like we did. I would have wanted to check out the ranch and see what you all are doing with the amazing birds. We were looking for something to eat and drink so Fred's Diner was perfect to have everything in one place. I think if your place is relying on tourist spending money at your place, you need to work on your customer service. Is it because we are in Arizona? Is it because of this town of Williams? Is it just in this place that you aren't welcoming to visitors? That's what the gift shop is there for? We don't want to spend a dime at this place and gladly spend it somewhere else. People are traveling more. I wouldn't recommend stopping here.
google avatar

Alexandria L.

Yelp
Such a cool spot to visit! Whether traveling as a couple, with a dog or family- something for everyone! Staff was SO welcoming and helpful. We got to meet Stinky the owl and it was so fun to learn about her species. Must purchase the lil snack bag to feed the "goatasaurus." So cute We went in the middle of winter- sure it's even more fun when it's not so cold and they have more birds out doing shows! Definitely a must visit.
google avatar

Laura A.

Yelp
We booked an RV site here and it exceeded our expectations. My kids 5 & 8 loved the Flintstone area. We also did an afternoon Raptor show and the kids thought it was so cool. The sites themselves are basic gravel and decently level, but the add on value of having animals and a whole flinstone village, upped the experience for the whole family. Distance from the Grand Canyon was great too! Definitely would recommend this to fellow campers, or just people visiting the Grand Canyon.

Monica H.

Yelp
If you leave this place feeling anything other than complete shock and sadness there is something wrong with you. I cannot believe that these poor birds are living like this and that no one has stepped in. In 2019 the owner of this run down park was featured on the news describing his plan to transform the park into a "bird of prey venue that demonstrates how the birds act in the wild" In reality the birds are left alone in small cages, with no enrichment tools, water or food. They can't fly. All they do is sit in their own feces on the one and only perch. It is depressing. I definitely wasn't focused on the tore up 50 year old Flinstones replica after that.
google avatar

Nichole S.

Yelp
We stayed here one our way from California to Mississippi. After a LONG day in the car, the bedrock town was just what my kiddo needed a to stretch his legs. It was a great little adventure. We unfortunately missed the raptor show but did get get see the birds in there houses... it's also spot to stop if your planning to see the Grand Canyon.
google avatar

Chas L.

Yelp
It was fun to take kids too. The price is 10 each person. We stopped here on the way to Grand Canyon. We kinda rushed as it was cold. The owl and goats were my personal favorite.

Dan S.

Yelp
One of my earliest memories as a kid was when my parents brought me here in the early 90's. So when we were in the area I knew I wanted to take my own kids there and I'm glad I did. This used to be Flintstones Bedrock City but is now under the name Raptor Ranch. We took my nephew 11 years old, son 8 years old and daughter 6 years old and they all had a blast!!! With both the old Flintstones stuff and the additions.
google avatar

Jeanne-Marie A.

Yelp
Such a fun side of the road stop if you have a sense of humor. Fun photo oops and an overall fun setup for kids and adults. We decided to only do the Fred Flintstone part, but you can choose to add on animal excursions with hawks, reptiles, llamas, etc. It was also convenient to have food available there, so it's an all in one stop. Not that it's outstanding food (mostly fries, burger, mozzarella sticks, etc). Tip- during the exhibit you are fully exposed outside, so be sure to wear sunscreen and bring water!

Nick S.

Yelp
Pretty cool park in the back for kids to play in. It is a little run down but still a cool experience. We stayed at the RV park while visiting The Grand Canyon. The RV park was not horrible but you do need tokens for the showers which give you 7 minutes.

Yelp
I remember going here as a kid, back when it was called Bedrock City. - It is one of the few things I remember from a trip 40ish years ago. When I saw that it was still around, I knew we had to stop in for my grandson and nieces to experience. This is a great place to let kids unwind after a long day of travel! Some of the Flintstones buildings and statues need some work, but the owners are updating and expanding/improving the attraction, and honestly, the kids didn't notice the paint cracks and this area was for them. The swings, teeter totter, and slide are all in great shape. The Goats are super cute and being able to feed them was a high light for our 5 year olds! The raptors! Imagine your kids being able to land a bird of prey on their gloved hand, imagine the looks of astonishment as they are allowed to interact with a 7 week old owl, now imagine tired happy kids ready to grab some dinner and go to sleep after a day of adventures. The $8 admission fee was well spent!

Yelp
This is the most absurdly fantastic roadside surprise! Formerly Bedrock City, this is essentially an RV Park with various birds of pray that just happens to exist on a life size model of Bedrock from The Flinstones. Bedrock is why you are here! Multiple buildings to go in. Incredible attention to details. Feels like someone's passion project done right. We visited a couple months after it became Raptor Ranch and I suspect its mid transition, but I hope hope hope they don't change anything in Bedrock! Tip: buy the food to feed the "goatasaurus". So silly.

Yelp
Ummmm. 8$ entry. Cool to see the 10 or so birds. But. One display was nice and seemed well thought out with natural elements. The rest.... They really need to clean those boxy unnatural, literally devoid of toys and stimulation cages. It felt like some eccentric bird collector just threw them out there to make a couple bucks, showing others. There is very little informative signage, some confusing signage, faded signage... signage that shows birds that aren't even present... and a whole lot of the previous glory Flintstones theme mixed in. Flintstones area looks like it would be a riot for kids to just run wild in and out of the rather crafty made buildings, if, children know who they are. And, if, parents feel safe letting children out of their eyesight in random buildings. We walked away feeling this is a tourist trap, it was neat to see the few birds.... But they are housed and cared for very sadly. More money seems spent on the Raptor Ranch advertising logo than anything. Counter lady was very sweet. Good thing they charge so little or I would have been feeling totally ripped off and complained.

Yelp
What an amazing experience. My wife and I are on a road trip of a life time with our three kids. We have seen so many great things on this adventure but this stop was one to remember forever. We would have never expected such a warm welcome. Troy and the staff greeted us with an invite to experience the flight of 2 of his Perigen Falcons. Benny was 3 years old and he put on such a show with his flights and aerobatics. Outside the kids explored with an amazing play area from swings, sea saws, Dino slides, and houses from the good old days of The Flintstones. Don't forget the animal exhibits. You could even meet the owl named stinky who had a huge 5 foot wing span. But wait... it did not stop there. Inside we got an amazing experience with Lucy the 5 year old Perigen Falcon. Here my family and I got to hold her while Troy told us all about the amazing birds and events they put on. Don't forget the staff, the food and the gift shop. Everyone and everything was epic. Thanks for making our stop so special. If your coming from the Grand Canyon or in Williams AZ. This is a must stop. Don't just drive by... if you do, you would have missed the icing on the cake. Thanks for making our road trip so special.

Yelp
This was such a fun little activity! There's a lot of different buildings and neat props! Admission for adults is $8 not sure if that's the price across the board. They are also pet friendly just be sure to keep your pet on a leash and pick up after your pet! There's also restrooms outside but be warned there might not be any toilet paper! We definitely enjoyed ourselves and they have a nice little snack and souvenir shop. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
Such a fun little stop on our way back from the Grand Canyon. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Both kids and adults in our group had fun wandering around and going in and out of each house. The kids enjoyed the dinosaur slide, swings and teeter totter's as well. If you're a Flintstone fan I think you'll enjoy it as well.

Rae B.

Yelp
We loved our stay here! Troy and his staff are amazing people and we truly appreciate them! We stayed in this rv Park for about 3 months and everything was great! The bedrock city is a fun blast to the past for any Flintstone lovers! And don't forget to feed the goats and lamas!! We can't wait to see you again!
google avatar

Fabian G.

Yelp
Spent about 20-30 minutes here. $8 a person. It was a cute little place. The lady at the counter was a sweet as can be.

Yelp
Attraction review haiku ... Has seen better days But they are clearly trying Wise owl malachi

Yelp
I had a fantastic time here. Goats, birds, and memories that will last forever ! I can't wait to see what this place becomes with time. I got to hold one of the birds of prey, and it was SO cool! The goats are about to have babies as well, so much potential. Don't pass this place by!!

Joram S.

Yelp
What an enjoyably offbeat place to visit. Thought we'd pop in for only 20 minutes or so, ended up staying close to 3 hours! Even though our kids did not know the Flintstones, they quickly caught on to the concept of sliding down a Brontosaurus tail and getting "locked up" in a prehistoric jail. The grounds were way more expansive than suggested from the outside, and all the buildings and play equipment had charming details to keep both adults and children entertained. The owl demonstration was the cherry on top; the birds appeared well cared for and the intimate presentation was engaging and educational. Stop in if you're nearby, you are guaranteed to snap a ton of unique pictures not possible elsewhere!
google avatar

Sandra H.

Yelp
This place was absolutely fun and I love that they kept the Flintstone bed rock theme still there. It was five dollars per person and definitely worth the value
google avatar

Jamey S.

Yelp
This place is awesome! We stayed for a night in our cross country trip in our camper. Staff was super friendly and did a falcon show just for us! They have a raven named Gracie that will take a dollar and put it in her piggy bank then eat out of your hand. The flinestone village is old but the new owners will be updating I'm sure and we all still REALLY enjoyed it. It was like a blast to the past. The store has everything you need and more.... This place is a must stop if you want an old school roadside attraction experience... and for the person writing about the "poor birds", the owner is a master falconer. These birds are very well cared for and have a very passionate staff. Most folks just don't understand falconing.
google avatar

Yelp
https://www.yelp.com/biz/raptor-ranch-williams FYI - Raptor Ranch is across the street from where we stayed in Valle, about 25 miles South of the GC South Rim. Troy trains Peregrine Falcons (who can dive up to 240 mph - INCREDIBLE), Hawks and a Eurasian Eagle - (second largest Eagle after Golden) and she has Talons that look like steel claws - yet she also has the "sweet" face of an owl. :) Troy flies the Falcons - et al - several shows in the afternoon - but we were on our way to Sedona early - so missed it. He said he has them perform as they would in the wild. His friendly wife Debbie runs the museum/market - and they also have some FLINTSTONES art/collectibles.

Walt H.

Yelp
Tickets very reasonably priced and a very good value- worth visiting. Our visit allowed us to have a raptor perch on our protected, gloved hand- and an unplanned perch on my wifes hat. The demonstrations of the hawk? Falcon hunting and taking game (inanimate) was very interesting and striking in the pre-attack maneuvers to taking of the lure. The birds are much smaller up close than I imagined and, while obviously supreme predators, are not at all threatening. They have a very intense and direct gaze.
google avatar

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
It was an okay experience. Pricing to enter was okay, not too high thankfully. My kids really enjoyed and loved it especially since they're familiar with the Flintstones. I really wish they kept up with repairs and the park. It has so much potential to be really good! But sad for what it is. The animals there also didn't seem excited to be there. Not much to say though. It's a quick experience, 20-30 minutes tops. There's a gift shop in the front with random items and a penny collection machine. Bathrooms were clean at least! There's plenty of parking in the area as well. It's a good stop before or after you visit the Grand Canyon.
google avatar

Elizabeth T.

Yelp
The people complaining about the price are out of their minds. This place was so cute! It was 8$ per adult and you go to go see the flimsy ones bed rock city, go see their houses, grocery stores, etc. they even have a dinosaur that's a slide!!! Along with all the photo ops there's a playground for the kiddos and a bike race trac when you can ride bikes through a volcano. They have different types of birds on property as well and if you go at the right time of day they bring some of the birds out and show them off. We got to watch one of the birds try to catch a dead quail on a string and the trainer flung it around and watch as the bird would dive bomb to the great. After the bird caught it he let us get up close to the bird and learn more about it. It's a fun stop on the way to the Grand Canyon that ALL people would love!
google avatar

Lucy N.

Yelp
We stopped by after visiting the Grand Canyon and weren't disappointed. If you don't want to pay to go inside, There's a few photo ops in the parking lot. The kids loved the few flintstone props so much we went inside. On the website, it said the raptor demo were at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. We got there at 11:20am and the owner said that he wouldn't mind doing a hawk show in 10minutes. YAY! It's $8/person. We probably spent a good 1 1/2hr there going through all the Bedrock city houses, got to see Hawkeye the hawk, also Stinky the Owl. The owner says they are adding an amphitheater. I'd definitely recommend this as a stop when you're either leaving or going to Grand Canyon
google avatar

Peter L.

Yelp
great stop for kids. we were on our way from south to west rim. here's a few more pics. next time we anticipate rv camping overnight here instead
google avatar

Victoria E.

Yelp
Omg not worth 8$ haha I felt bad for the owl and falcons since they are just locked away. No show or activity for the birds. Anyways everything is broken and ghetto. I guess the money helps the birds. Idk. I would not go again.
google avatar

jasmine w.

Yelp
Really great stop on the way to the Grand Canyon! Visited the beautiful raptors on the property and the live raptor show was really fun. Loved the nostalgic Flintstones town of Bedrock. It looks like they're starting to renovate the Flintstones town a bit, it's looking better than when I last visited 10 years ago. I hope they restore it more, it's such a fun piece of campy cartoon history. Absolutely worth the $8 admission fee, I think they should bump it to $9, doubtful anyone would notice the slight difference in price but the difference in revenue would probably be noticeable. Pizza was decent, better than the food we had inside the park. They also have a well priced RV park attached with showers and laundry.

Yelp
We stayed here after our national forest reservation was cancelled due to the closure. Although it's not like camping in the forest we had a great time there. Just a few campsites have shade/trees so call and ask which ones those are before booking. Tables are nice. Most importantly staff is super nice. We went to Bedrock City four or so times. The kids had a blast and so did we as adults remembering Flintstones. We were there a few days and had some camping stuff break and ordered replacements. They were more than happy to accept the deliveries while we were away which was awesome. Saw two bird shows - a falcon and a hawk. Both were just really great and interesting. They had a lot of great information about the birds. They are doing a lot of upgrading after taking over this place a few years ago. Only suggestion is to add a recycling area! Thanks!

Yelp
Awesome old flinstones bedrock city at raptor ranch. The city is really cool although it is falling apart some which is to be expected and part of the fun. 8 dollars to get inside, with lots of photo ops and nostalgia feelings. There are 4 hawks inside of an enclosure that are also tethered to their stands, along with a big owl in an enclosure all by himself. They are beautiful but I can't help but feel sorry for the poor things just being tied up all alone out there.

Emma S.

Yelp
Only leaving 1 star because I have to.. otherwise it would be less than zero. The birds were depressed. Some were tethered down. They were in direct sun & held in tiny boxes, unable to fly. Pure captivity. I went to AZ for a family reunion with my husband and 5 children. On the way back home, we stopped to get out of the car in Williams, AZ at the Bedrock City/ Raptor Ranch. My six year old really wanted to go in and see the birds and the flinstone items so only him and I went in, while the others stayed in the gift shop, but mostly outside due to the clerk on the phone the entire time gossiping with someone on the other line. It was 9:19 AM (Arizona - MST), and already approx 85 degrees outside. The animals were calling out, some making whimpering sounds. They were tethered down in tiny cages, 2 of the birds had extremely dirty water and all of the other birds had none. This was the most awful inhumane place! DO NOT SUPPORT THESE PEOPLE!!! Photos attached. There is a campground near by that is owned by the same people I'm not sure if the customers of the campground use the same restrooms (which are very close, directly across from the bird cages). As my son and I were walking away, someone from the campground/ or an employee (which would be far worse) drove over to the restrooms and vroomed their engine over and over so loud scaring the birds. It is an unlivable condition for the birds, absolutely inhumane and it is beyond heartbreaking!! Again, zero stars!! Don't support!!!

Christina Y.

Yelp
I came here not expecting much, and I was pleasantly surprised. Anyone who grew up with the flint stones needs to come here. Displays were in pretty decent condition, and my kids(and me!) had a blast checking them out. They also loved feeding the goats. There was no bird show while we were there, it was a really windy day so that may have been why. Owl was absolutely beautiful though!

Adina K.

Yelp
Loved!! New ownership for Bedrock City. Our family had a great time. Stayed one night at the campground and it's the biggest playground for kids and adults. Plus the bird shows. They started around 6 (based on weather) and we stuck around until almost 8. Plus there is a restaurant/bar you can walk across too. The gift shop is also great. It's been remodeled and offers a lot for campers and visitors. The staff was great and you can tell they are putting a lot of $$ and energy into it. Highly recommend the stop.

Valerie M.

Yelp
This was a 10/10 experience. We decided to stop on our way to the Grand Canyon and are so thankful we did. Price is cheap for a really unique and fun experience. Staff is super friendly and public bathrooms are exceptionally clean and have hot water. You felt like you were literally in Bedrock City.

Examen H.

Yelp
Made reservations and drove out of the way only to find ouy they are not a member of harvest host anymore. They did not cancel reservation. They waited till we showed up and tried to get us to pay more for a spot.

Yelp
I would be lying if I didn't tell you I've been DYING to come to this place ever since I read about Bedrock City (Previous Name and ownership) a decade ago. I love quirky and random and this was it. I was so excited to see when driving to the Grand Canyon that it had reopened as Raptor Ranch, keeping the Flintstones memorabilia, but turning it into a wildlife sanctuary's well as rv park and campground. For a $5 entry per person you can walk around the old buildings, rapids down the dinosaur and even take pictures in the pedal cars. The highlight however came when the owners patiently answered all my sons questions about the Falcons and not only offered to let him hold one, taught him so many things about them while he did. The family was so patient with my son and made him feel so special. When we were leaving they also gave him a book on falcons to read on our drive. He is only 10 and is now so excited to learn even more. They have a Facebook and Instagram page as well if you'd like to follow them on their journey to educate and gradually remodel a have a grand opening of the full park. It may not look like much as you're speeding by, but so worth checking out and supporting . Again, from the bottom of my heart thank you for making my sons day and teaching him so much!

Yelp
What can I say... my childhood was relived and a tear came out believe it or not, this was everything it needed to be and more!!! I literately sat in my car and so many memories came flashing back of my childhood and upbringing. Thank you for that guys!!
google avatar

Sandi C.

Yelp
The "park" is rundown and in disrepair. Many of the man made structures were being held together with masking tape. The poor birds were stuck in their cages with no fans blowing in the hot temps. The birds looked to be tethered to their stands. One of them had poop on the walls and inches deep on it cage floor. I would not recommend paying $8 to enter it. I'd snap a photo in the parking lot if I felt that nostalgic. But not worth going into.
google avatar

Shannon B.

Yelp
This place was an absolute blast, so many things to see and all of the employees have so much information on the birds! They were also very nice answering all the curious questions we had! They had a bird show which was amazing, pictures with their famous owl stinky, beautiful rocks for sale, and the classic flinstones sights up still. In the show they said they're in the midst of building/expanding and I can't wait to see what the new owners do with the space even more than they already have. Definitely worth the stop and the cheap $8 ticket!

Yelp
We stayed here because most of the campgrounds closer to the Grand Canyon were either full or had terrible reviews. Raptor Ranch was close enough but still a good 25 mins away, FYI. The campground itself is nothing special and has exactly what you need to camp. We had a site with water and electric hookups and had no problems with either. Didn't seem to be a very full campground so had no trouble or lines when needing to dump on our way out. Now for the Raptor Ranch part. There is a Flinstones area in the back that is free for those staying at the campground. We checked it out simply because it didn't cost us anything. After going in, taking 10 mins to walk around I don't see how anyone would actually pay to see this. To say it's rundown is an understatement. It's basically just a field with makeshift houses that look like the Flinstones. Cool, sure. But it's falling apart and not kept up at all. Looked like renovations were in process but there is a long way to go.

Yelp
It was $5.00 to get in. There was a raptor demonstration. It was pretty busy that day I think. I've never been there before but since this place doesn't seem to have a lot to offer I think ten cars or so seemed like a lot. The place seems a bit run down. I'd like to see some money invested to power wash the buildings (the copyrighted characters are gone.) Maybe some new bright paint...freshen it up a bit. Also the investment of a sidewalk to walk through "Bedrock city" would be nice. That stone path is a killer! Those little stones get in your shoes and it would just be nicer to have something flat to walk on. I watched the flint stones when I was little so this took me back to my childhood Saturday mornings. I don't think kids now would be very interested in it. Some investments and updates will be needed in order to keep this a viable tourist attraction. I got some great photos but you can see how dingy everything looks.

Yelp
If your not camping your not missing anything. Run down. They looked like they were putting in new bird houses/cages but not as exhibits. You literally see one owl and some creepy Bedrock homes for $5.

Yelp
The Flintstones Park is super interesting and strange. I love old road side attraction stuff and I'm really glad this has been kept! The only bummer is the birds - they were tied to the ground with foot long leashes. These birds have to be such smart and athletic creatures and I can't imagine how sad it must be for them to be kept still all day. Why not let them move around freely in a large cage? Or don't have them at all if that's not an option?

They now have a place out front where you can cut open your own geodes ( rocks ) super friendly people and it was a lot of fun ! I got some beautiful rocks and will be back next year !!! What a great experience.
