We had our first meal at the Rushleigh Arms in Charlestown to meet up with friends, and it did not disappoint. From start to finish, everything was excellent the food was absolutely outstanding, beautifully presented and full of flavour. The wine selection was superb, with something to complement every dish. The choice of mains was great, offering a well-balanced mix of classic favourites and more refined options. We were also very happy with the spot where we were seated comfortable, relaxed, and perfect for catching up with friends. The only slight negative was that it’s a little on the higher end cost-wise, but the quality and experience made it well worth it. All in all, a fantastic first visit, and we’ll definitely be returning

Came for Sunday lunch having had many lovely meals here before. Service was incredibly slow. We each had a Sunday roast and the portions were very small for the price - one slice of beef per person. No green vegetables either. No member of staff checked on our meal, or asked how the food was when collecting our plates by which time it was too late anyway. It’s a shame as we have had plenty of lovely times here before but today has put us off returning.

A lovely, airey pub, with very friendly, attentive staff. 4 of us order 2 roasts, a chicken & ham hock pie and a fish & chips. All were delicious. Plenty of veg and thick gravy with the roasts. A little pot of curry with the f&c was a nice touch. We will definitely be back.

We stayed here for one night for a concert at the Eden project. The location was perfect! Not only was it close by to our destination, Charlestown itself was truly beautiful. |The accommodation was absolutely amazing!|Cannot fault the staff or the food either. Everyone was really friendly and efficient. We felt really looked after and spoilt. |We should of booked an extra night, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. ||We will be back soon!

Fabulously comfy beds and spacious well appointed bathroom with Elemis products including pillow spray. Lush fluffy white towels Great cooked breakfast menu and dinner options. Staff were very friendly and helpful in carrying our luggage up the stairs to our room.||Only minor point was the sash window rattling in the wind at night and room located over bar so some noise until bar closing time.

Arriving at the Rashleigh Arms was the most emotional experience 45 years after arriving there for the first time when holidaying as a teenager at the nearby (no longer there) Duporth Holiday Village in the late 1970s with my family. My husband had booked it as a surprise, and I was blown away by the fabulous room and welcome we received upon arrival. The room, decor, furnishings, bedding and cleanliness were all first rate, and we could not fault anything. All the staff were fantastic, but I have to give a special mention to Jessica and Jo who went over above with treats, upgrading us to the most beautiful room overlooking the harbour and providing the most lovely words of comfort following the recent passing of my Mum. There are a fabulous credit to the hotel which is first rate, serves excellent food and is in the most perfect location! I will not leave it another 45 years before I return!

What a surprise, I booked the Rashleigh Arms with a little trepidation because it was a pub, but the location was perfect for my Mother who has mobility struggles. |I need not have worried, everything was fantastic, the initial booking was smooth, communications with checking room was suitable for Mum was clear and reassuring. ALL staff were so friendly and happy, the rooms were beautiful, clean and tidy. The bathrooms were small but totally adequate and the showers powerful and warm, which were walk-in (Key for Mum who can’t climb into a bath). There were stairs to the rooms but good hand rails and light corridors. |Breakfasts where incredibly lovely and plentiful, the evening meals where nice, yes it is a pub but the feel is more a hotel/restaurant at the back with an entrance for residents thus avoiding the bars/restaurant. |We had a fabulous mid week break - Mon-Friday, great value, sadly the weather less reliable but managed to have a dip in the sea.

We rocked up on Sunday 6.4.25 @ 19.20ish hoping to grab a meal before heading home after a long walk. The staff were friendly and efficient. They seated us promptly. There was a good selection of beers and they had a good choice of alcohol-free beers. We were so pleased to see they were serving roast dinners at that time: most places finish serving much earlier. Three of us had the beef brisket, one had the pork belly. Dinner was amazing! So chuffed they served cauliflower as standard on their roast. We had a good amount of veggies on the side with extra gravy (in a teapot!). The staff were tentative and friendly throughout. We noticed there was a slight problem with the table near us and the customers were being very rude to all of the members of staff. We felt the staff handled it very calmly and professionally considering how the customers were bahaving regardless of the small issues that may have occurs. Seb served us: thanks Seb!
