Rastoni Hotel Aegina

We have been coming to this hotel for many years but this year we visited with the hotel under new ownership and management. Standards have been maintained and improved and both the Athens-based sales office (Afroditi) and the on-the-ground hotel management (Leana and Popi) were excellent from start to finish. |We were in a garden room (photo) which was well appointed and had a very oriental feel to its design. An excellent bathroom (photo) with rainfall shower and two basins. The garden surrounding us was beautiful and the breakfast was very good too. |A very enjoyable stay.

The Rastoni is, hands down, the most magical place I've ever seen. The hotel is stunning with it's rooms spread around the most beautiful sunken garden. The rooms are clean and unique with comfortable beds, soothing AC, and plenty of space. The hotel provides the most delicious breakfast every morning. Their staff is incredibly helpful and let us borrow beach towels and books for our trip to the beach. We were utterly charmed by the Rastoni (and the local kittens) and we hope to be back soon.

The Rastoni was delightful. The gardens were stunning. We felt like we were in paradise. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location is walking distance from the port making it convenient and close to restaurants and shopping. Breakfast was very good and you got to eat at private tables in the garden.

I toured some of Greece and some of the islands and this was my favorite place that I’ve stayed! It is absolutely gorgeous, spotless, beautiful surroundings with the garden, the incredible people, who are so kind, helpful and friendly! I loved it here, location was central to the stores, tavernas, little spots for swimming! Everything is a walk away! I’ll will definitely return if I come to Aegina again

The Rastoni Hotel on Aegina exceeded all expectations and was one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed. Tucked into amazing private gardens, you feel as if you are in a garden paradise. The daily breakfast was delicious. We stayed in the Jasmine Bungalow which was very spacious and had the best shower ever! It was a 5 minute walk to the beach, and 5-10 minutes to the shops and restaurants. Would recommend taking a taxi from port for luggage but otherwise easy to walk everywhere from here.

Beautiful guest house, rooms are excellent and with beautiful views. Lovely gardens. Breakfast is varied and plentiful. Wonderful service. Can walk there from the port - 15 minutes with luggage, and then a short stroll into the main part of town.

Amazing hotel! We stayed for one night only but will definitely be coming back. The location is perfect, close to the port and beaches and everything but still on a street and surrounded by greenery so no city noise or similar bothers during the night. The hotel itself is beautiful, a big garden and nice art, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with everything, super nice! The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were beautiful, also fit with mosquito screens so none bother you. All in all, highly recommend!

Avoid this hotel — unreliable booking system and zero accountability.||I booked directly on the hotel’s mobile site for August 16, but their system shifted my reservation to the following weekend without my knowledge. After a long uphill walk from the ferry in extreme heat as no taxis were available I was told I had no booking for that night.||Reception made a call to find me another room elsewhere but refused a refund, despite it being peak season when they could easily re-sell the room. The attitude felt unhelpful and unfair.||Add in other reviews citing poor coffee and breakfast, and this is one hotel I strongly recommend avoiding.
