This is a hidden gem museum. Rath Gyorgy has so many collections very well displayed. Elegant rooms. Full of details. Of you like Art nouveau then this is just for you. The garden is also nice with statues. The staffs were kind. Rather quiet small museum but very worth for an afternoon to visit.

A little bit musty and fusty, but not dusty. Some stunning items of art in their original setting. Also a good exhibition of women's dresses from the same art nouveau era. Neither the house nor the dress exhibition are large but that also makes it easy to spend time admiring items without any need to rush. The house and exhibited items could do with a good refresh in the way some items are displayed. However, today it is a fascinating insight into another era no matter how the items are displayed.

Discover its stunning Art Nouveau collection, showcasing British, Austrian, and French influences, with beautiful furniture reflecting Hungary’s rich heritage. Be sure to grab a brochure to explore the detailed stories behind each exhibit!

Excellent display of art nouveau objects, furniture and metalwork displayed in a restored bourgeois villa.

We like small museums and this fit the bill. Some unusual examples of Art Nouveau. While I was familiar with Zsolnay’s work, this introduced me to other artists and craftsmen. It was somewhat sad to read about the paintings that were here and have been moved to the Museum of Applied Arts. As a result they have replaced them with facsimiles (probably painted on China). The house itself is a jewel with many beautiful details.

Very nice villa with a very diverse collection. Nice and competent employees, who are pointing out the techniques being used, and explaining the life-cycle of the Jugendstil style in a historical- and cultural perspective. The front garden is being renovated. It will take you around 1,5...2 hours to wander around.
