This review is based on 17 night/6 property Irish road trip, so is relatively objective.||I stayed solo for 3 nights in June.||Easily found minutes away from the ferry. Plenty of parking.||Lovely location overlooking the sea in well maintained grounds, with an easy walk down to the beach or through the beach side woods into town.||Friendly, efficient staff throughout.||This property has an authentic, comfortable luxury country house feel, with plenty of sumptuous lounges to relax in, complete with real fireplaces.||My room (25) was ground floor with a ‘no view’ patio. Large, comfortable and well equipped, but somewhat lacking the country house feel - rather barren compared to the public areas. If I were to return I’d choose a first floor balcony room with a view of the parkland. The large bathroom had both a bath and a powerful walk in shower (strangely with a curtain rather than a door).||I didn’t use the large indoor pool, which apparently has to be booked.||The restaurant offered outstanding food. I’ve just returned from a seafood capital - the locally sourced lobster and halibut was easily a match for the Alaskan king crab and halibut! Highly recommended. Breakfast was to a very high standard.||Not cheap, but provided value for money - if in the area again I’d return.
