Rathsallagh Country House

I attended a wedding at Rathsallagh House this past weekend and stayed two nights. The grounds are indescribably beautiful, like something out of a fairy tale. I definitely recommend a stroll through the secret gardens. The staff were incredible, extremely warm and friendly and incredibly attentive. The rooms are big, charming, and comfortable. A truly fantastic place! Edited because I forgot to mention the food. The food is fantastic!

We got married in Rathsallagh House in July 2025. We had the most amazing day. All the staff at Rathsallagh were so helpful on the lead up to the wedding and with every aspect of planning, They are so quick to respond to any query big or small. They have such a great attention to detail and will make sure even the most smallest of detail is looked after on the day. We loved Rathsallagh from the moment we walked in to view the venue. They have such beautiful drawing rooms, the glam room and grooms room was perfect to get ready in before our ceremony. Th grounds are so perfect for photos. Our guests complimented the food and the venue so much throughout the day and even the weeks after the wedding. We couldnt have asked for a better venue to get married in, it completely went above and beyond our expectations. We cant wait to visit again.

I would like to sincerely thank Andrea for her exceptional help with our room on August 15th. Despite managing so many guests, she went above and beyond and still made time for us. We had our wedding here this weekend and to say it was the best day of our lives is an understatement. The venue, the staff, the ambience, the service and everything about Rathsallagh immensely added to that feeling and experience. Whether it was the glam room set up to kick the day off in style, the guest check in experience, the photos in the walled garden, the extremely high quality food or the coordinators, staff and everyone from Rathsallagh, I don’t think I have ever experienced a better hospitality offering in my life. Huge thank you to the team, and a massive recommendation if you’re looking at wedding venues!

I attended a wedding here, but I didn't stay so I can't comment on the rooms. However, the service at the wedding was very good and the food was very tasty. The house itself was beautiful with nice quaint rooms. The gardens looked really nice. Unfortunately, it lashed rain for most of the day, so we only go to see them briefly in the evening. The ceremony was held in a room on the grounds, which was beautiful and a 1 minute walk from the main house. Overall, I'd a lovely experience. It was wheelchair friendly and I would recommend it to others.

Picking a wedding venue is a big decision and I have read many a review! So it was really important for me to share our experience! We honestly couldn’t have wished for a more perfect wedding day — it was far beyond our wildest dreams!||||From start to finish, the team at Rathsallagh made sure we were completely looked after and supported in every way. The service was truly exceptional — from the moment we first viewed the venue all the way through to when we said goodbye the following morning.||||Some highlights that really stood out were the warm welcome for our guests (with many able to check in early and settle in). They looked after us so well, even whisking me upstairs and out of site when I arrived early and unannounced (the bride) it was like something out of a movie. The food was outstanding — generous, delicious, and tailored to all our guests — and the service from the team on the day was second to none.||||The small details made a huge difference, from the careful set-up of all the flowers, candles and signage to the thoughtful way my dress was hung after I’d left it abandoned in the room (after a quick dress change)! No task was too much for the amazing team at Rathsallagh! We came back to our room to find a plate of sandwiches and wedding cake waiting for us — a lovely touch after a busy day — and we were delighted by all the little details. Having our champagne on hand for the champagne tower and sparklers for the photos - we really didn’t have to worry about a thing. Joe even helped my brother tie his dickie bow!||||The team went above and beyond for us and for all our guests. We can’t thank them enough for making our day so special and for their patience and support through countless emails, requests, and last-minute tweaks. If you’re looking for a venue where you can trust every detail will be taken care of, we honestly couldn’t recommend Rathsallagh more.

Stayed here for a friends wedding, location, staff and hotel were superb. Room sizes were huge and facilities were amazing. Garden and grounds were immaculately well kept. Would be a great place to stay even not attending a wedding.

We attended a wedding on 6th April and from start to finish it was the most amazing experience. Our room was stunning, everything you could wish for and more. The beds were so comfortable and spotlessly clean bathroom and facilities. From the moment you arrive the staff are so helpful and friendly whilst being so professional. The hotel, grounds and gardens are a haven of beauty, elegance and warmth. The wedding meal, breakfast and service were excellent and nothing was too much trouble, you were attended to consistently. I would not hesitate to recommend Rathsallagh House for its exceptional welcome, staff, homeliness, atmosphere and food.
