Rathsallagh Country House

We could not have been happier with our wedding at Rathsallagh House 😊 We live in Australia and only saw the venue in person for the first time on our wedding day - but from the start, the communication was super clear and Megan was so friendly that we always felt at ease. We genuinely trusted them to make our special day perfect, and they truly did. The house itself is spectacular. Driving up the avenue, we felt incredibly lucky to be getting married there. We had 70 guests at our wedding which was in the drawing room. We loved the cosy, warm, Christmas atmosphere. What we loved most, though, was the staff. We felt so special and so well looked after all day. Tara was our wedding coordinator on the day and made sure everything ran smoothly. She was supportive, warm and professional — exactly what you hope for on your wedding day. We had the glam room that morning, which was the perfect way to start the day. The room is beautiful and the food was lovely. Our guests are still talking about the two lads behind the bar — they were fantastic all night. The day after the wedding, Nikki kindly and enthusiastically took us on a tour of the house so we could see all the rooms. Our bridal room was amazing — we loved the bath, and enjoying a nice coffee brought to our room. We honestly can’t wait to return and wish we could do it all over again.

Beautiful, stunning old style country house that has 36 rooms for guests. We had a wedding there and the staff and management could not have been more lovely and helpful in making our experience there the best they possibly could. Food was the very top quality. The amount of rooms they have for different experiences from loud and busy to silent and relaxing depending on your mood is perfect. Thoroughly recommend it for a great get away from busy city life.

We had our wedding at Rathsallagh House and we could not recommend it highly enough after our experience. We made use of the glam room and lads dressing room and we felt so at ease the entire day. Megan was our coordinator on the day and she was brilliant, making sure we were all relaxed and well looked after. The ceremony room was gorgeous, and it all felt so intimate. The food was faultless, from our breakfast and lunch on the morning of the wedding, to the canapés and wedding meal that evening. Joe the owner checked on us several times to make sure everything was going well, which was greatly appreciated. Catherine, who we liaised with on the run up to the day was brilliant and made sure everything was considered. The day went without a hitch, and we are so grateful, we've made such gorgeous memories here and we can't wait to visit again!

Booking our wedding at Rathsallagh was the best decision we could have made! We are an Irish/American couple living abroad and had to plan much of the wedding from afar, and the team made the whole experience completely seamless. We felt incredibly cared for by everyone we encountered, who went above and beyond to make our experience special. The whole team was warm, kind, professional, attentive, responsive, and flexible--especially our incredible coordinator Tara. The venue itself is stunning and luxurious while still feeling cozy and down-to earth, which is exactly what we wanted. All of the facilities were well-appointed, and the unique and beautiful guest rooms were a hit with our guests. The food was delicious and plentiful. So many of our guests remarked that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Thank you to the team at Rathsallagh for everything!

We truly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding venue. Our outdoor ceremony setting was absolutely breathtaking — the scenery created the most beautiful backdrop and made the moment feel even more special and intimate. Everything was set up flawlessly, and the atmosphere was just magical. What really made the experience stand out was how the celebration continued into day two with the BBQ. It was such a relaxed and fun way to spend more time with our family and friends, and it was organised so smoothly. It felt like a full wedding weekend rather than just one day. A special mention has to go to the bar staff — they were fantastic! Friendly, professional, and incredibly efficient all weekend long. Our guests loved them, and they kept the celebration flowing perfectly. To Megan and Catherine! We honestly don’t have enough words to thank you for everything you did to make our wedding so incredibly special. From the very beginning, you made the whole process feel calm, organised, and exciting rather than overwhelming. Your attention to detail, reassurance, and steady guidance meant we were able to truly enjoy and especially the day itself. Our outdoor ceremony was absolutely perfect, and that was down to your thoughtful planning and flawless coordination. Everything looked beautiful, ran smoothly, and felt effortless from our perspective , which we know is a testament to all the hard work happening behind the scenes especially the girls in the office who were on the ball organising from early on! Especially when we had so many questions. We’re so grateful for the amazing memories this venue helped us create. We couldn’t recommend it more highly!

We returned to Rathsallagh with my elderly parents as a Christmas gift for them. We stayed last year and had a wonderful time and this year was just the same!!! The welcome on arrival to the guy helping us with our bags,the staff are exceptional, friendly and knowledgeable. We stayed in a superior room with lovely views and plenty of room so we could sit relax and chat as my mother's mobility is poor. Our dinner was sublime, each one of us felt the dishes were delicious and varied. We were very happy to sit in the drawing room with coffees. A wonderful sleep on the huge bed and down for breakfast. Again a fabulous selection and the special was a work of art. |We cannot wait to return and next time we will stay two nights!!

My husband and I try to go away each December for a night, without our kids. This time we chose Rathsallagh Country House. We arrived in the dark and the rain but the lights and warmth of the fires were lovely. The staff are all so friendly and we both loved the laid back charm that the place brought. The setting was gorgeous. The shabby chic vibes are what one would expect from a country house. Our room was large, warm and the bath was a gorgeous touch. The food was fabulous and we both appreciated the owner coming over to enquire how we were enjoying our meal. The Christmas decor made the place that little bit more magical. We really enjoyed our stay and are happy to give our business to somewhere that looks after their customers so well.

Had a lovely pre Christmas overnight in Rathsallagh. Everything was fabulous, room was lovely looking out on hills. Bed really comfy. Dinner was beautiful, portion sizes perfect, great selection. Breakfast was amazing, big selection of fresh local and seriously tasty food, loved the brown bread and cold ham. A lovely treat.
