🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 An unforgettable paradise wrapped in kindness
We stayed at the Rati Lanna from July 27th to August 2nd, and I’m honestly not sure whether to write this review or keep it secret so no one else finds out about this gem. But here we go…
First of all: the pool. Oh, the pool. Saying it’s “beautiful” would be like saying the Mona Lisa is “a decent doodle” or that the Great Wall of China is “a pretty long fence.” It’s a slice of tropical perfection — calm, green, soothing — the sort of place where time stops, and the only thing you hear is the gentle water and your own thoughts melting away. It’s so idyllic you half expect David Attenborough to start narrating your swim.
The staff… where do I begin? They are not just friendly; they are the living embodiment of hospitality. Warm smiles, genuine care, and an uncanny ability to make you feel like the most important guest they’ve ever had. They didn’t just make our stay comfortable — they turned it into something truly memorable. If kindness were an Olympic sport, the Rati Lanna team would win gold, silver, and bronze.
We had booked a regular room, but to our delight we were upgraded to a suite — a gesture that set the tone for the whole stay. The suite was pure elegance: spacious, serene, and filled with details that made us feel pampered from the moment we walked in. The bathroom alone could host a small wedding reception (and everyone would RSVP “yes” just to see it).
As if that weren’t enough, they allowed us a late check-out, which for seasoned travelers is the ultimate luxury. That extra time felt like a secret bonus chapter in a favorite book — you never want it to end.
Breakfast was varied and satisfying, and the coffee? Absolute perfection. The kind of coffee that makes you momentarily forget your own name. If I had to make a microscopic suggestion (and I say this only because perfection loves a touch of contrast), perhaps a few more Western-style options could be added. But when you’re sipping that divine coffee by the riverside, honestly, who’s counting croissants?
In short: Rati Lanna is more than a hotel — it’s a sanctuary. It’s where luxury meets nature, where every detail feels thoughtful, and where you leave with a heart as full as your camera roll. We arrived as strangers, but left feeling like part of a very happy, very well-rested family.
If I could give it six stars, I would. Seven if they add a daily otter parade. 🦦
