RatiLanna Riverside Spa Resort (Chiang Mai, Thailand) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"On the banks of the Ping River, near Chiang Mai’s famous night market — and just across the river from Wiang Kim Kam, the ancient capital of the Lanna kingdom — is the kind of restful, tranquil resort you don’t often find in an urban setting. From within RatiLanna Riverside Spa Resort’s rooms and suites you’ll feel splendidly secluded, and the same goes for the hotel’s spa, whose treatment rooms each pay tribute to a different facet of Thai culture. Mira, the outdoor restaurant, is pure northern Thai in concept, while the Rio Restaurant & Wine Bar is the city’s only Brazilian-style churrascaria." - Tablet Hotels

Best stay of our honeymoon trip to Thailand. We notified the hotel ahead of time that it was our honeymoon and they accommodated and welcomed us with flowers, cake a bouquet and even upgraded our room. We were blown away with the kindness from the staff, the hotel itself is a hidden oasis, no noise from the outdoors and it feels very private. The pool was very refreshing and needed after a long day of excursions. I also loved the spa, but didn’t get to book anything but it just looked so dreamy. My husband loved the gym area, very clean and well attended. He loved the equipment they had and impressed by the amount of things they had at the gym. Breakfast was a delight, we went on the early side and felt like there was nobody at the hotel but us we ordered food by the pool once and it was delicious and quick! Overall, one of the best stays of my life and I hope to say here again when I’m back. Was truly an incredible experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Ratilanna Riverside Spa Resort. The hotel’s design beautifully blends traditional Thai elegance with modern luxury. The rooms are spacious, tastefully furnished, and extremely comfortable. One of the highlights was the lavish bathroom — complete with a waterfall shower and even a built-in TV, which added a touch of indulgence. The sink drain had some problems and I had to request twice to get it fixed. The location is ideal — just about 10 minutes from the main night markets and city center, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. The only downside was the breakfast. For a resort of this caliber, the variety was quite limited and repetitive across days. It didn’t quite live up to the expectations of a 5-star experience. That said, everything else — the room, service, ambiance, and riverside charm — made it a memorable stay. The Spa was the best

Ratilanna is a beautiful hotel with a traditional style and 5 star amenities. Unique style and very serene location next to Ping river. Only a short ride from airport but a 15 min ride from Chiang Mai downtown.||We had booked 2 rooms and the staff was very nice to upgrade one of the rooms so that whole family were in adjacent rooms. Loved the decor in the room. Never saw such large bath tub with a TV and a waterfall feature. Exactly like on the hotel website pictures ||The pool is also very large and fun. The hotel grounds are very well kept. The breakfast buffet is delicious and numerous veg and non-veg options. The restaurant overlooks the river with outdoor dining option. It’s a very serene environment in the morning for breakfast. It has a large indoor option with huge glass wall and air conditioning for those who prefer cooler temperature. We had lunch a couple of times there too. The food and drinks are amazing. Even though we ate outside in other restaurants in Chiang Mai, the food here was the best. ||The entire staff during our stay was very friendly and helpful. No exceptions. We enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend it anyone planning to Chiang Mai. ||The other 5 star options are contemporary style hotels u see in any city.

On my first night at the hotel, I ordered a ribeye steak from the on-site restaurant. Two days later, I got food poisoning and was unable to enjoy my vacation. I was stuck in bed for three days. As a red meat lover, the quality of the meat must have been truly awful for my body to react that way. I strongly advise against eating there, especially if you plan to order red meat.

Warm service, great food, loved the pool, large rooms. It’s by the river so there’s not that much around the actual hotel (more in the city, which is only about a 10 minute taxi ride). And just an annoyance, but the wifi was very inconsistent. Generally enjoyed our stay and would recommend if you’re looking to unwind away from the city.

We went for dinner and it was exemplary in every way. The initial greeting by the staff was matched by the superb service during dinner. We started with drinks overlooking the river, which was delightful. We then moved to a table for dinner, staying outside where live , gentle music was played. The food was Thai and was amazing. Tiger prawns in a curry sauce, chicken in a coconut sauce with mushrooms and others. Truly delicious and the price was so reasonable. It was an experience that I thoroughly enjoyed, my fiancé was of the same opinion.

It’s alright. I stayed at the Akira hotel for two nights before and really enjoyed it there more location wise, service wise and aesthetically. I ordered food from Grab and they didn’t allow me to eat it with my family at the pool. They had me eat it around the corner in the smoking section. I thought that was pretty lame. Being a guest at the hotel, I think I should be able to eat lunch by the pool regardless of where it’s from - but especially if 1) they don’t have the food that suits my diet on the menu & 2) if my family is still ordering from their pool restaurant. The rooms are nice but a bit old and there was rain leaking into the hallways. There’s not much to walk to around here but it’s nice that they offer a shuttle to the night market. It wasn’t awful but I likely won’t stay here again or recommend it to others.

Very nice hotel on the River in Chang Mai. A bit outside of the old city so you need a ride into town. Our room was lovely, we had a view of the pool from our executive suite, a huge balcony with day bed and swing for 2, big living room, bedroom and bath. All staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good but great. The restaurant was also good but not great and service for drinks is quite slow. All in all recommend the hotel for its room, location, and staff.
