RatiLanna Riverside Spa Resort Chiang Mai

We had the best stay here as a part of our honeymoon. Every interaction we had with staff was so kind. We particularly loved the folks at breakfast. We were lucky enough to receive a room upgrade and our room was beautiful. The pool area was gorgeous and the most relaxing place to hang out after a morning of exploring. While a little bit off the beaten path, there are some great food options within walking distance and getting a car via Grab was easy and affordable! I wish I had taken more pictures of the space, but do have a couple photos of lovely breakfast.

We had an absolutely incredible time at the RatiLana. From beginning to end we felt taken care of and had nothing to worry about except for what to pick from the restaurant's menu! As this was our honeymoon, they graciously upgraded us to an executive suite upon arrival and gave us a room experience we never would have gotten on our own. The room was beyond clean and spacious with a fantastic balcony overlooking the peaceful pool. Dining by the river was also a great experience, soaking up the view and enjoying the occassional lizard scampering on the exterior. We also deeply appreciated when one of us fell ill, the staff were able to suggest a nearby hospital that often cared for international travelers, reducing our stress in interacting with an unfamliar medical system. A simple check in from that same staff member the following morning showed a level of care and thoughtfulness that we deeply appreciated as well. If and when we return to Chiang Mai, the RatiLana is at the top of our list of places to stay at.

One of those places that makes you bother enough to write a positive review. Where do I start? Well, at the beginning I guess. The reception is stunning, out of a movie set. The pool is gorgeous and blends in smoothly with the greenery around it. The breakfast had quite a generous selection of food, and the Thai food was top-tier. To balance out all of the above praise: the room insulation left a lot to be desired, so expect to be casually woken up by zealous cleaning ladies greeting other residents in the morning.

The bathroom layout lacks a separation between the bath and toilet, making the space difficult to share. Additionally, I found that the housekeeping services were not up to par. The breakfast was also disappointing due to very limited vegetarian options, consisting mostly of pastries and bread. Serving the same selection of fruit every day made the offering quite repetitive. My primary concern, however, was the mandatory Christmas Eve dinner. At $120 USD per person, the vegetarian options were again very limited, consisting only of pasta and dessert. This was certainly not worth the cost for a guest with dietary restrictions who does not consume alcohol. The hotel is located far from the market and the old city, I did appreciate that a shuttle service was provided. Overall, the experience did not reflect the quality I expected.

You can feel the attention to detail everywhere — from the immaculate rooms to the beautifully maintained common areas and the relaxing ambience that surrounds the entire property. The service was impeccable. Every request was handled quickly and with a smile, and the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their professionalism, combined with their warm personalities, truly elevated our stay. We were especially impressed by the overall cleanliness, the calm and refined environment, and the little touches that made the experience unforgettable. It’s clear that this hotel takes pride in offering not just a room, but a complete, high-quality experience. We left with nothing but positive feelings and a deep appreciation for the team that made our stay so special. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for exceptional service, a fantastic atmosphere, and a place that truly feels like a home away from home.

Very nice and quiet hotel in the center of Chiang Mai. Good location to be close to the center but still have some peaceful athmosphere to relax by the river. Rooms are modern and comfortable. Only improvement area are the windows that don’t seem to be the same in every room. My family had a room with very bad quality windows and they could hear all noises from the road, while mine were ok. But most memorable experience was the dinner organised at the hotel for Loi Krathong festival. It is quite a budget but totally worth it! They organise a large buffet, local music and dance shows and super cute decoration all around the hotel. An exclusive experience to celebrate Loi Krathong without big amounts of people and noise of the city. If you consider staying there during this period, book it! Special recognition to the waiter Ken at the restaurant that was very friendly and attentive to our needs. The staff in general is very nice.

RatiLanna Riverside Spa Resort in Chiang Mai is a beautifully designed Lanna-style hotel that combines traditional northern Thai architecture with modern comfort. We really appreciated the elegant layout and atmosphere. The pool is large and relaxing, with a nice view of the river. Breakfast was good, with a reasonable selection of both Thai and international dishes. Special thanks to Peth for his excellent and friendly service — the staff overall were very kind and professional. The unique waterfall feature in the bathroomwas a bit unusual but definitely added an interesting touch to the experience.|Overall, a comfortable and well-run resort that offers an authentic Chiang Mai feel.

RatiLanna Riverside Spa Resort Chiang Mai is a wonderful place to stay. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, and the property is spotless from top to bottom. Shout-out to Kik Breakfast offered excellent choices, and everything was fresh and well prepared. We stayed two nights and had a great time, peaceful, relaxing, and very well run. Highly recommended for a comfortable and serene stay.
